Chapter 2 - I wonder what Phantom Radio Gymnastics No 3 is like?

**Day 2: Cave**

Woke up. Unknown cave? Yeah, this is way beyond just "ceiling problems"!

Apparently, even stepping on isekai tropes is difficult here, so first things first: gotta look for a ceiling.

Seems like nothing happened overnight. The tent and lantern have "monster repel" effects, and the "Shut-in" title protects my home base while I'm holed up. But what about when I'm out? Might need a door. Just in case, a parcel delivery box too.

Lit the dead campfire with fire magic. Can't ignite without holding something, so no fireballs. Throwing it would be hot. I don't want to get hot… after seeing that old man…

Took a knife, cutting board, frying pan, preserved dried meat, and mushrooms from the item bag. Salt, plate, cup too. All Villager A brand. Was this guy actually living in a village?

Placed the frying pan over the fire until it smoked, added finely shredded dried meat and thick-sliced mushrooms, stir-fried. When browned, added a little water and covered. Shook the pan to prevent burning, steamed until water evaporated, lightly salted to taste. Mmm, smells good. Current ingredients: only dried meat from the bag and forest mushrooms. Only salt from Villager A, so repertoire will run out soon. Need meat, fish, whatever else the forest has. Yesterday it was mushroom forest. Maybe there's a bamboo shoot village somewhere… war incoming.

Went outside to fetch water, used Clairvoyance to scan the area. No bamboo grove. War averted, but no bamboo shoots either.

Ate while thinking about next steps. Priority: secure food and shelter. Then safety and monster countermeasures.

For now, this cave works as a base. Tent means mobile living is possible, but a defensible cave is safer. A cave you can shut yourself in sounds nice too.

If food runs out here, move on. Food and safety first. Hmm? Normally this is where adventure begins, but I'm already going full shut-in? Well, I'm already a loner? So next I'll probably stop working too? Terrifying isekai skill!

While thinking, headed into the forest to gather mushrooms. Appraising while using Enemy Search to advance. Yesterday I came from downstream, so today upstream.

Mushrooms everywhere, occasional medicinal herbs. Avoid anything with presence. Picked up firewood, timber, vines too.

But normally, the standard pattern is living in a castle or something right? Instead, straight to survival countryside life! Never even got kicked out of a castle—straight to forest! And cast: only me. Audience: zero. Full solo narration! What even is isekai summoning? How is this different from *Robinson Family Single Assignment Story*?

Time to head back to the cave. Probably around noon? No clock or phone, so no idea. No need to ask why no phone. Don't ask! Absolutely not!

Almost out of the forest, cave close. But can't move. Something's there? Monster? Animal? …Classmate maybe? Definitely not a friend. Yeah, no mistake.

Annoying~ go away. Hid while watching, listened without making noise, erased presence while searching… found it! "Appraisal"!

Short humanoid things, ugly faces not quite human or animal, stocky gray-brown bodies. Goblins, huh? Weakest of the weak, mob among mobs. If I can't beat these, game over. Some stories have kids beating them… supposedly. But these stats are kinda strong? And two of them.

Early game: grind goblins for levels. Basic. Should be goblin or slime first, but stats higher than expected… stronger than me? Can I win? No—if I can't beat goblins, stuck. In the forest, I'll have to fight eventually.

Ambush possible now. If they jumped me, I'd freeze and do nothing. Definitely. Ambush has huge advantage. Pick them off one by one, choose favorable terrain, control timing. Absolute golden opportunity—if I can finish them.

Problem is HP and ViT. And PoW. Taking my base 10 stats: HP about 4x, ViT 2.5x? So I need to hit 10x to match their HP. Considering PoW 2x, 20x. Can't take a single hit.

My HP 10, their PoW ~20—one hit KO. Need to land 10+ hits without getting touched. Ambush alone impossible.

SpE and DeX about equal—no speed crush. Only advantages: InT 10x, Luk absurdly high. If InT is intelligence, maybe. If magic power, useless.

Wooden stick PoW "?"—no comparison, but maybe fewer than 10 hits. Their clubs heavy—probably slower. Advantage?

Back hit to head or neck for bonus damage? Double bonus = 5 hits. Ambush effect huge.

Stats unknown reliability—need experiment. Real combat experiment.

Do it and find out, but can't know without doing. Prefer safe, but failure = bad. Secure escape route first.

SpE equal, but height difference matters—especially leg length. Leg length is—! Yeah, important so said twice! Probably on the exam.

Escape to cave. Shut-in effect might work inside, narrow entrance = 1v1. Home turf advantage.

Circle around, attack from forest edge. If fail, run immediately. No noise, kill presence, slow advance. Can target Goblin A alone from this side. If fast-kill before B arrives, 2v1 becomes 1v1 chain.

Hold breath, quietly approach. Jump range. Goblin A back turned, Goblin B farther. When to strike? Now!!

Explosive jump, overhead diagonal slash. Goblin staggers, bends—second hit. Side stance, full swing, leg sweep, downed—wild flurry. Keep hitting until Goblin B arrives. By then, completely still. Even if not dead, can't fight.

Club raised, Goblin charges. Big swing, but short—hard to dodge. Dodge, strike. Dodge, strike.

Goblin attacks monotonous. No flair. Just swing and charge.

Keep watching attacks.

Calmly observe, next move predictable. Dodge simultaneously, thrust stick. Counter.

For goblin: every charge hits stick, follow-up damage. Terrible.

Weakens but gets more ferocious, irritated, bigger swings. Dodge, smack face. Screams, big overhead. Open throat—thrust stick. Dodge incoming club, but club never falls.

Step back, catch breath. Glancing hit, no injury. Not clean win, but first combat, first kill. Good enough.

Both goblins still. Finish with one hit each, loot clubs, wash face in river.

Physically tired, but mentally more. Second goblin's moves completely visible at end. Body reacted better than imagined. First battle, first kill. Sufficient.

Lots to reflect on, but getting used to it first.

But somehow… feels like I finally did something isekai-like?

Back to cave, rest. Ate roasted mushrooms while building simple lattice door from gathered timber/vines.

Dried leftover timber with Temperature magic, stacked. Thanks item bag.

Weight magic super useful for carpentry—lighten wood, no need for help. One person doable! Loner okay! Hot cake!!

Sweaty, bathed, did laundry. Not bad at exercise, but hate sweating. Hate dirty clothes. Not isekai material. Wasn't original world material either. Where's my demand?

Fighting tiring. Need finisher. Skills useless, so magic only.

Got fire magic. Old man useless. Not sure if practice improves magic, but even instant ignition could surprise.

Prefer ranged, but need level up. Level up needs fighting.

Tried "Temperature" + "Fire Magic" for fireball-ish. Temperature slow ignition. Fire Magic makes small fireball, short range—2–3 meters max. Needs heavy focus to throw—impractical in combat. But fun, so practiced more.

Tried Weight on stick—heavy swing difficult. Heavy from start awkward. Heavy on impact hard. Stop only? Practice anyway. Funger.

Tried Packaging stick with mana… works, but effect unknown? Felt something happened, but no idea what. For now, wrap stick in mana, swing practice. Meaning unknown, but good for Staff Technique practice.

Movement hard. With Walking, trying full speed shortens 10 steps to 7–8. When rushed goblins, suddenly closed distance—goblins shocked. I was shocked too. Bonding moment. Beat to death though.

Hard enough, but using Movement… instant… tripped. Hit wall. Clumsy girl title incoming? "Hawawa!" while charging goblins to club death? Loli demand maybe, but high-school boy—no.

Sudden idea: Package own body in mana. Took time at first, but faster, now instant.

Moved around—body feels good, maybe faster? Placebo? Kinda?

Body control skill missing? Or defense/magic defense up? Even if unknown, practice needed. Wrap, move, swing stick… playtime? Leave that to lolis. No demand for high-school boys. Even I don't wanna see it.

Trial and error, deliberation and execution. Yeah, need real combat test. If effective, I'll know.

Stamina dangerous, mana depletion dizzying. Stop for today. Sleep.

Before that, appraisal… got items: goblin clubs.

"Club – Wooden club, grade 10". My stick "?"—no comparison. Heavy, short, useless.

Refocus, appraisal self.

Level up came~!! Stats more than doubled. Rise rate better than expected—maybe early bonus, but double+ is huge. Way easier to fight now. SpE/DeX 2.5x big—speed advantage.

SpE/DeX high rise—am I speed type? If they can't hit, doesn't matter? Almost normal 3x…

InT rise good—magic practice? Or smart fighting? Finally speed learning effect!? No, never did that.

Wait… bad! "Sensitive" up! I didn't do anything weird, right? Really! Only goblins! No "khh, kill me!" capture scene. Why up? Am I sensitive now? Easily stimulated? Is that okay? Maybe sensitive skin all along?

Let's pretend I didn't see. Yeah. Oh! "Staff Technique" up—just beating with stick. That kind of level up? Swordsmanship one kill first step kill-OK style?

Thinking that, level gain slow/bad curse—didn't expect from 2 goblins, but kill = OK? Stats were killable in one hit, so one-kill level up possible.

Lv8 and 7—level difference possible. No baseline. Need strategy guide via courier. Want title, but don't know world name. Might've heard, forgot. Useless old man.

Gymnastics daily—no, first time today!? Already up? Isekai first mastered skill gymnastics? Level up = legendary Radio Calisthenics No.2? Master = phantom Radio Calisthenics No.3 in hand… "Grid Sensei, I want radio calisthenics"?

Rest appraisal/Presence/Enemy Search—used a lot, need more. Grateful up.

Unknown: "Mana Cloak Lv1", "Mana Manipulation Lv1"—practice effect? Or Weight on stick during fight? Understandable.

"Mana Cloak"? Wrapping—Packaging derivative? Or body/stick wrapping? Hoped for body enhancement… but what's difference from Packaging?

Ahh sleepy. Rest tomorrow… but what is phantom Radio Calisthenics No.3 like?
