The Wanjie Multiverse was abuzz with speculation, the bullet comments flying across the screens as viewers debated the identity of the final warrior.
Sengoku: "Who could Goku have possibly thought of? Is there another powerhouse hidden in that universe?"
Garp: "I'm stumped. Are there any heavy hitters left?"
Kakashi: "Could it be Yamcha? Since Krillin and Tien Shinhan are already on the roster, it stands to reason that he'd be the next logical choice, right?"
Zhang Chulan: "Exactly. Aside from Yamcha, the bench looks pretty thin."
Duanmu Yan: "Wait, what about Future Trunks? He might be from a different timeline, but he's still a protector of Universe 7. His power far outclasses Yamcha'sâhe'd be the tactical choice."
To the billions watching, the logic was sound. It had to be Yamcha or Future Trunks. All the other legends of Universe 7 were already accounted for.
Kurosaki Ichigo: "Hold onâwhy aren't Son Goten and Trunks fighting? Even as kids, their potential is insane. They can use Fusion to become Gotenks, who is leagues ahead of Master Roshi."
Sengoku: "It's likely a matter of experience. This isn't a playground brawl; it's a battle for existence. In a high-stakes environment, the wisdom and discipline of seasoned veterans like Krillin often outweigh raw, undisciplined power."
Kakashi: "Agreed. We saw Krillin outmaneuver Gohan earlier through pure tactics. Experience is a gap youth simply can't bridge in a single day."
The consensus was clear: the lineup was set, save for that final slot. Many lamented the timing of Majin Buu's slumber. While no longer the absolute peak of power, Buu's magical abilities and sheer resilience made him a nightmare for any opponent. But with him out of the picture, curiosity reached a fever pitch.
When the video finally revealed the answer, a stunned silence swept across the dimensions.
The footage showed Goku traveling not to another planet, but to the Afterlife. He arrived in a place that looked like a deceptive paradiseâblooming flowers, lush green fields, and whimsical sprites singing joyous tunes. But in the center of this sweetness stood a single, gnarled tree. Hanging from a branch, encased in a humiliating silkworm-like cocoon, was the most diabolical villain in the history of the universe.
Frieza.
Goku had come to recruit the Emperor of Evil.
The negotiation was tense. At first, Frieza scoffed, his pride refusing to aid his hated rival. Seeing this, Gokuâshowing the tactical growth Akira had notedâsimply shrugged and turned to walk away. The bluff worked perfectly. Frieza, realizing he'd lose his only leverage, called out. He agreed to fight, but on one non-negotiable condition: if Universe 7 emerged victorious, he must be resurrected with the Dragon Balls.
Goku didn't hesitate. "Deal."
The narrator's voice boomed over the shocking scene: "Frieza found himself completely at Goku's mercy. Little did either of them know that this uneasy alliance would spark a new and unexpected emotional journey between the two arch-enemies."
Back in the present timeline, inside his high-tech command ship, the real Frieza was trembling with rage. "Impossible! Me? Side-by-side with that filthy Saiyan monkey? What kind of sick joke is this!" He gripped his hovering chair until the metal groaned.
The idea of "surrendering" to Goku's request, even for a chance at life, felt like a stain on his soul. And the narrator's hint at an "emotional journey" made him want to supernova a nearby planet in disgust.
The multiverse chat exploded.
Sengoku: "Good heavens, Goku's gone mad. Frieza is a monster!"
Garp: "Mad or not, you can't deny his Ki. That monster is a powerhouse."
Kakashi: "Strength isn't the issue; it's loyalty. Is he going to fight for the team, or stab them in the back the moment the bell rings?"
Kurosaki Ichigo: "He wants to live, doesn't he? If the universe is erased, he stays dead. That's a pretty strong motivator."
Duanmu Yan: "He's a wild card. An unstable element. I still say Majin Buu would have been the safer bet."
Most viewers agreed. Buu was chaotic, but Frieza was purely malicious. The irony of Buuâwho fought in the Zen Exhibition Matchâfalling into a coma just as the real battle began felt like a cruel cosmic joke. However, the narrator's next words would make the audience realize that as great as Buu was, Frieza's inclusion changed the game entirely.
