Chapter 67 - 67-Building an Empire

"What can I help you with?"

Boshita looked at the well-dressed tycoon and wondered what this powerful figure could possibly need from someone like him.

Avery explained his purpose with practiced ease.

He had taken a keen interest in the prime piece of land currently occupied by the Philly Storage Company. The location was excellent and perfect for building a profitable commercial center.

But the owner of Philly Storage was proving to be a stubborn obstacle. No matter how high a price Avery offered, he stubbornly refused to sell. He was extremely arrogant and dismissive.

Avery also mentioned that the owner committed all kinds of wrongdoings and even withheld his employees' wages regularly. Simply outrageous behavior. Every day, large groups of workers gathered at the factory gates to protest.

The job was simple enough. Create chaos by any means necessary and make that boss completely unable to continue operating. Then Avery would swoop in to acquire the land and rebuild it into a commercial center.

Boshita felt somewhat skeptical of Avery's convenient narrative, but he truly needed money right now, so he accepted the task without further questions.

He then summoned his underlings, Haki and Hami.

"Boss!"

As soon as they arrived, the two immediately saluted Boshita enthusiastically.

Looking at his obedient subordinates, he nodded in satisfaction and explained the mission details.

They arrived outside the gates of Philly Storage, where workers were still on strike.

The two underlings blended seamlessly into the protest crowd.

"You Bastard, give us our hard-earned wages!"

"Withholding our pay is unforgivable!"

Many employees shouted slogans in righteous anger. Outside the gate, security personnel formed a barrier and blocked them from entering.

Suddenly, a figure rushed up to the guards and angrily cursed them.

"You capitalist slaves, helping them bully ordinary people, you all deserve rot in Hell!"

He shoved a security guard hard.

Seeing him get physical first, the guard immediately swung his baton in response.

Shouts erupted throughout the crowd.

"They're hitting people! The boss wants us dead! Fight back!"

The long-suppressed anger of the protesting workers ignited instantly like a powder keg. Not paying wages and now beating up his employees? Did he possess even an ounce of humanity?

A full riot broke out.

The furious workers charged the security group, broke through the gate with sheer numbers, and flooded into the factory grounds like a wave.

Boshita mingled among them while holding several special devices concealed in his coat.

Taking advantage of the chaos, he quietly placed them beneath the trucks scattered throughout the yard.

'Done.'

As the disturbance escalated rapidly, workers and security began fighting in an all-out brawl. Some searched desperately for the boss himself.

Just as everything descended into complete disorder...

*Boom... boom*

Massive explosions rang out, and flames shot skyward across the entire Philly Storage complex.

The workers who had rushed into the factory were all stunned into silence.

It was over for them now.

They only wanted their rightfully earned wages back, yet somehow things had escalated into a destruction of this magnitude.

Taking advantage of the confusion, several figures quietly slipped away unnoticed.

"Hahaha!"

Inside Ken's office, Avery laughed happily while pouring himself a drink.

"Mr. Boshita, I knew I didn't misjudge your capabilities."

"This is a small reward for your excellent help."

Boshita said nothing in response and merely accepted the payment.

During the following period, he helped Avery handle many similar matters. Blowing up rival company buildings, striking at his business enemies, and a series of other dirty jobs that paid well.

His wealth grew substantially, and his reputation in the underground became more and more infamous. Eventually, his name caught the attention of Colonel Juan himself.

A call came from Colonel Juan one evening.

On a luxurious yacht moored at Saintheart Lake Pier, Juan was drinking expensive red wine.

Seeing Boshita arrive, he greeted him warmly like an old friend.

"You want me to kill Gonzalez?"

"That's right. That bastard betrayed me after everything I did for him. I want you to eliminate him permanently!"

"I trust your ability, Boshita. I've prepared all the equipment you'll need."

He waved to a subordinate, who promptly brought up a large weapon case.

Opening it revealed various deadly weapons inside.

Gonzalez, once Juan's capable lieutenant, was different from Boshita's previous targets. He was extremely powerful himself and had many loyal subordinates constantly guarding him.

This left Boshita genuinely unsure how to approach the job.

After thinking for a moment, he decided it was finally time to expand his operation properly.

He now had substantial money, and the colonel had provided weapons. Time to build something real.

He called the catmen twins for advice.

Haki told him that if he was willing to spend some money, they could easily recruit some dependable fighters. But Boshita preferred saving money when possible and had other methods in mind.

Soon enough, Countless agonizing screams echoed through the city's dark alleys as Boshita recruited new people the old-fashioned way.

"Boss!"

Looking at the group of subordinates standing before him in formation, Boshita felt extremely satisfied with his work.

"I hereby announce that the Liberty City Gang is officially established today!"

Since his new followers lacked proper combat skills, he spent a substantial sum buying equipment for everyone.

Especially Haki and Hami received upgrades. Though not naturally strong fighters, once properly armed they looked quite intimidating. Each of them held heavy weapons and wore protective armor.

At a poolside villa on the wealthy side of town, the crocodile Gonzalez was discussing business with his men.

Suddenly, explosions sounded outside the compound.

"B-boss! A group has broken through the perimeter!"

"Damn it! Is that old fool Juan actually trying to kill me? He's been retired for so long, and I've already weakened his influence considerably. Where did these attackers come from?!"

He cursed viciously while baring his massive jaws.

But he wasn't truly afraid. He wanted to see which fool dared provoke him so boldly. He hadn't gotten proper exercise in a long time anyway.

His subordinates were well-equipped and organized a steady defense against the assault.

But as a 'blue phantom' suddenly rushed onto the battlefield with incredible speed, the situation instantly became one-sided.

The crocodile immediately joined the fight himself.

The two battled fiercely across the villa grounds.

Gonzalez occasionally tried to land hits with his firearms, but Boshita dodged them all with his agile movement and supernatural reflexes.

As the battle continued, it became clear that Boshita was no longer the fighter he once was. His strength had grown tremendously through all the constant battles.

Though Gonzalez was undeniably powerful, Boshita's superior combat skills gave him a decisive advantage. The crocodile was quickly defeated and driven back.

Seeing Gonzalez attempt to flee toward the water, Boshita rushed forward and drew the long sword gifted by Juan. He killed the traitor with a single clean slash.

Mission complete.

After helping the colonel eliminate the traitor Gonzalez, Boshita received another special assignment shortly after.

"That's right, Diaz is my business partner. He seems to have encountered some trouble with a shipment."

"This deal might be disrupted by the Kangaroo Gang interfering. I need you to protect his safety during the entire transaction. I've prepared the equipment as usual."

Boshita's eyes sharpened.

He was finally going to meet this man in person.

Was the final confrontation approaching at last?
