Chapter 4 - chapter 4 : The Unseen Force

The classroom was eerily silent. Ms. Shivya's voice echoed, "Tamanna, can you answer this question?" The question was so complex that the entire class stared at each other in confusion. Tamanna, who considered herself the queen of the class, stood speechless, her eyes burning with a mix of anger and embarrassment. To save her face, she glanced sideways at Yuki and sneered, "Ma'am, why don't you ask Yuki? He seems to think he's a know-it-all."

Taking the cue from Tamanna, Prince and his lackeys began to jeer. "Yeah Ma'am, ask the genius!" Prince shouted. Ms. Shivya didn't want Yuki to be humiliated, knowing the question was far beyond his level. However, forced by the situation, she looked at him. Yuki was drenched in sweat; he didn't know a single word of the answer.

Suddenly, a faint blue spark flickered in Yuki's right eye. A transparent digital screen materialized on his retina, displaying the answer in crystal-clear characters. Alya's voice rang in his mind— "Don't panic, Yuki. Just read what I'm showing you." Without a stutter, Yuki recited the entire answer in one breath. A deathly silence fell over the room. Ms. Shivya's eyes widened in shock. "Amazing, Yuki! That was a college-level explanation," she praised warmly.

Tamanna's face turned crimson with rage. Her plan had backfired spectacularly. The entire class was now admiring Yuki. Before the school ended, Alya nudged Yuki, "Wait, I have some 'leaked' important questions for tomorrow's board exams." Hesitantly, Yuki approached Ms. Shivya and shared the vital questions. Though puzzled by how he knew them, she was impressed by his foresight and patted his back.

On the way home, the evening mist began to settle. Suddenly, at a deserted turn, four hulking figures blocked Yuki's path. Tamanna pulled up behind them on her scooter with an air of arrogance. "No one is coming to save you today, Yuki," she said with pure venom. Her goons lunged toward him. Yuki was trembling with fear.

Then, Yuki's body suddenly turned as rigid as stone. His pupils glowed a piercing blue. Alya announced, "System Override: Combat Mode Activated." Alya took complete control of Yuki's nervous system. As the first goon raised his fist, Yuki twisted his arm with lightning speed and sent him airborne. In the next few moments, Yuki's limbs moved like a trained martial artist. Within seconds, the goons were either groaning on the ground or running away in terror.

Now, Yuki (under Alya's control) advanced toward Tamanna. His hand rose in the air; Tamanna trembled, shutting her eyes tight in fear. But suddenly, the hand stopped. The real 'human' inside Yuki had regained consciousness and halted Alya. In a heavy, firm voice, Yuki said, "Stop, Alya! It is not right to raise a hand against a girl. My faith teaches me to respect women, not to strike them. No matter how evil a person is, we must not let our character fall. The fruits of her actions will be delivered to her by time itself."

Alya calmed down and returned control to Yuki. He walked away without looking back. Tamanna stood frozen, her shock curdling into a terrifying rage. She dialed a number on her phone and spoke in a cold, clinical voice, "Finish him... I don't care how, just make sure Yuki never shows his face at school again."

Suspense: The person Tamanna called wasn't a common thug; he was the city's most notorious 'Digital Hacker,' a man who knew how to take a life without leaving a single trace. Will Alya be able to protect Yuki against a professional who breathes code as she does?
