Chapter 18 - Chapter 18 First Day to the Dark Church

They have a nice chat about first day to college, while they walk around the forest, and walk back the bench under the Douglas fir.

Lunar: Have a seat, please.

Solar: Thank you, Miss Tudor.

They sit on the bench, looking through velvet darkness upon the pale jade moon.

Lunar: What do you see over there?

Solar: The full moon.

Lunar: Just try to see an immortal witch. She watched through all ages of the world, and witnessed things what people wouldn't believe.

Solar: She witnessed the bloom and fall of flowers; she witnessed the birth and death of people; she witnessed the rise and fall of dynasties. I wonder how could she endure long nights of all ages of the world?

Lunar: Maybe she obliviates herself once in every month.

Solar: Did you obliviate yourself once in every month?

Lunar: Never.

Solar: Did you remember your first day to the Dark Church?

Lunar: Of course.

Solar: Tell me, please.

Lunar: Once in every month, at the fifteenth lunar night, there's a magic train traveling between the muggle world and the magic world. The platform nine three fourths, was the platform to board the train to the Dark Church. Yet I never found the platform nine and three fourths, until I followed some passengers to penetrate the wall, and arrived the magic railway station behind the wall.

Solar: How was your trip on the train?

Lunar: It was wonderful. I sat at the window, reading my personal bible. The man, who seated in front of me, was a half-blood prince from a magic-muggle family. I saw him reading a magic book, and asked if I may have a look at his magic book. He agreed and handed me his magic book, which was a magic potion book owned by his wizard father. He told me his father was a great potioneer, and he was gonna study magic potion at the Dark Church, and carry on his father's potioneer's career.

Solar: Was he your first friend in the magic world?

Lunar: Yeah. We both were church students, when we first met on the train. He was interested in magic potion, and I was interested in all kinds of dark arts.

Solar: Was he a brilliant potioneer?

Lunar: He was an unmatched potioneer. I was recognized as the magic potion princess in magic potion class. Well, it's just because I got a great potioneer as my friend.

Solar: What was your first impression on the magic world?

Lunar: It was magical. When the magic train arrived its destination, the magic world. He took me to find the magic carriage to the Dark Church, and left to buy ingredients for brewing magic potions. It's the first time that I took the magic carriage, carried by a white unicorn with one horn on his head and both wings on his back.

Solar: I heard of unicorn from the books of myths, but I never witnessed any unicorns in my whole life. May I have a chance to ride on a unicorn?

Lunar: Of course, you may. It wouldn't be hard to find a unicorn carriage in any given street of the magic world.

Solar: What was your first impression on the Dark Church?

Lunar: It was majestic. When the unicorn carriage brought me to the Dark Church, and landed in front of a church with a massive clock. It's the first time that I witnessed this ancient yet majestic church. It was not designed by human wisdom nor established by human power; it was designed by the dark lord's will and established by magic's might. As a freshman, I was allowed to visit anywhere, except the forbidden forest.

Solar: The forbidden forest?

Lunar: It's the forbidden forest outside the Dark Church, where an ancient devil was sealed in the depth of the forbidden forest by the first dark pope of the Dark Church. The ancient devil, who was summoned from hell, never returned where he came from.

Solar: How did you know about the ancient devil?

Lunar: I got lost in the forbidden forest, unconsciously walking through poisonous fog toward the depth of the forest, where the devil was sealed by a powerful magic pattern. He told me that I was the first one who could walk through poisonous fog, and he'd like to offer me immorality, if I set him free.

Solar: How did you reply the devil?

Lunar: I made an agreement with him.

Solar: What agreement?

Lunar: He shall bless me with immortality and extraordinary magic talent, and in return, I shall privilege him freedom, when I am the strongest witch in the magic world.

Solar: Was the devil dangerous?

Lunar: Extremely dangerous.

Solar: How could you dare set such a dangerous devil free?

Lunar: I have faith on my power. When it's time to set him free, I would have become the strongest witch in the magic world. I might be capable of making the devil kneel at my feet or sending him back where he belongs.

Solar: You didn't set him free, did you?

Lunar: How could I possibly set him free, when I couldn't even set myself free?

Solar: Right. How was your first night at the Dark Church?

Lunar: It was delighted. When I made an agreement with the ancient devil, he kindly sent me out of the forbidden forest through space portal. I walked back my dorn room, and made an acquaintance with my three roommates. They were zombie girl, cat girl and dragon girl. Zombie girl from graveyard, was the weirdest one among us, who was capable of summoning spirits; cat girl from magic alley, was the cutest one among us, who was capable of charming the others; dragon girl, was the strongest one among us, who was capable of transforming into a silver dragon.

Solar: What did you think who you were?

Lunar: I, who was blessed with immortality and the extraordinary talent on dark magic, was the most low-key one.

Solar: The most low-key one?

Lunar: To stay low-key is the secret to live a long life. Where there are people, there are conflicts. The magic world is not as peaceful as it seems to be. Do you understand?

Solar: Yes, Miss Tudor.
