Chapter 4 Danzo's Ambush.
Uchiha Touhuan's mission was to go to the northwestern border region to eliminate spies from the Land of Earth.
After leaving the village, the three sped towards the mission area.
However, before they even reached their destination, figures wearing various masks surrounded them from all directions, quickly forming an encirclement.
"Anbu?" Uchiha Inahime looked at the newcomers' attire, her expression hardening.
"No, not Anbu, Root." Uchiha Touhuan remained calm, drawing his long sword from behind him. "But prepare for battle."
"Damn it! What does the village mean by this? Attacking their own ninja?" Uchiha Zaito said indignantly, drawing a kunai to fight.
"Traitor to the Uchiha clan, Uchiha Touhuan, today I will eliminate this destabilizing factor for the village." Danzo's sinister voice rang out, but Uchiha Touhuan looked around and didn't see Danzo.
"You cowardly rat, how dare you spout such nonsense here?" Uchiha Touhuan said disdainfully.
"Uchiha Touhuan, put away your petty tricks. You wanted to force me to show myself so you could use the eye technique you stole from Uchiha Shisui on me, right? But unfortunately, Uchiha Shisui has already revealed everything. The village already knows about your plot to steal his eye technique and rebel. Why don't you surrender?"
"Touhuan, what does he mean?" Uchiha Inahime asked, puzzled.
"Now is not the time to talk about these things." Electricity crackled around Uchiha Touhuan, with occasional explosions. "Let's deal with these rats first."
"Understood!" Uchiha Inahime and Uchiha Zaidou nodded, standing back-to-back with Uchiha Touhuan, forming hand seals: "Fire Release: Great Fire Dragon Technique."
Two massive fire dragons charged towards the encircling Root army, the heatwave from the explosions instantly engulfing the leading Root ninjas.
While Danzo had brought elite troops to kill Uchiha Touhuan, Inahikawa and Zaito were among the best of the Uchiha clan, geniuses who had awakened their two-tomoe powers. Uchiha Touhuan, on the other hand, was more direct. Nine blue lightning balls, each brimming with terrifying chakra, condensed in an instant and then crushed forward in different directions.
Lightning Release: Lightning Ball, the most basic Lightning Release ninjutsu, a technique even some Konoha genin could master, now possessed such power in Uchiha Touhuan's hands.
In the blink of an eye, more than ten Root ninjas were engulfed by the lightning balls, their bodies vanishing without a trace. However, Root, brainwashed by Danzo, had lost all individual will.
The deaths of their comrades did not stop them; instead, they continued their relentless charge towards the three. At the same time, their Water and Wind Release ninjas began to unleash their ninjutsu, attempting to subdue the three using elemental techniques that countered their own.
"Killing Anbu ninjas, Uchiha Touhuan, are you trying to betray the village?" Danzo's voice rang out again.
The answer he received was a series of lightning bolts as thick as thighs descending from the sky, striking precisely the area where the Root ninjas were gathered. The exploding lightning instantly reaped the lives of more Root ninjas, while the Wind and Water Release ninjutsu unleashed by the Root ninjas were completely neutralized by the six dark blue lightning balls that Uchiha Touhuan had conjured and rapidly spun around the three.
"Aren't you going to show yourself yet, Lord Danzo?" Uchiha Touhuan said. "Or do you think you can keep me here with their help?"
"Uchiha Touhuan, don't waste your time. You think you can control me? That's wishful thinking," Danzo sneered.
"Lord Danzo, don't you think you're overestimating yourself?" Uchiha Touhuan effortlessly unleashed a series of ninjutsu, reaping the lives of Root ninjas, while chuckling, "You're just a rat that can't see the light of day, confined to the sewers, easily discarded by Hiruzen Sarutobi. You're unworthy of a divine technique like Kotoamatsukami."
Just then, several giant trees shot into the sky, forming a gigantic hand that enveloped the area where the three were.
The previous attacks were merely to deplete their chakra; the true killing move was Danzo's hidden trump card.
"Wood Release?" Uchiha Inaho was shocked. With the Uchiha clan's discerning eye, she naturally recognized the origin of this ninjutsu.
The two instinctively used ninjutsu to try and block the descending hand, but their techniques failed to leave any mark on the giant hand.
At that moment, Uchiha Touhuan slowly spoke, "Stand behind me."
Instantly, the three tomoe in Uchiha Touhuan's eyes spun rapidly, transforming into the Mangekyou Sharingan. Dark eye power surged from his eyes, enveloping the three of them before transforming into a gigantic black war god covered in azure runes.
Uchiha Touhuan's eye power and explosive lightning chakra converged in the war god's hand, transforming into a dark blue longsword, which, with a single strike, cleaved the giant wooden hand that had descended from the sky in two.
"Elder Danzo, have you had enough?" Uchiha Touhuan said coldly. "Do you know why I didn't use the ultimate power of our Uchiha clan from the beginning? Because I intend to bury you all here."
As Uchiha Touhuan spoke, the sky above his head darkened. The water vapor evaporated from the collision of Fire Release and Water Release had formed large dark clouds in the air, and a massive amount of energy was constantly being compressed within them.
When everyone present looked up, their faces were filled with horror. Although the Root ninjas had basically lost all humanity, this sense of powerlessness in the face of divine might was an instinct of every living being.
"Lightning Release: Kirin!" Uchiha Touhuan softly uttered the name of the technique, and then, except for the three people in the center of the battlefield, a spark of electricity flashed beneath the feet of everyone. These sparks were so slight that even ordinary people would only feel pain, but at this moment, they had become a death warrant for everyone present.
A colossal blue beast formed from lightning descended from the sky, instantly engulfing the entire area in a blinding flash. Faced with this overwhelming thunder, the Root ninjas had nowhere to escape. Only layers upon layers of wooden shields, rising from a corner, managed to hold back the descending lightning with sheer numbers.
Minutes passed, the thunder subsided completely, a sudden downpour began, and the lingering stench of blood in the air vanished.
From the corner where the wooden shields had risen, the last layer collapsed with a deafening roar, revealing two figures. A masked man collapsed, his hands still in a hand seal, while the other leaned on a cane, his other arm, wrapped in bandages, dangling in front of him.
"Found you, Elder Danzo," Uchiha Touhuan, within the Susanoo, beamed with a bright smile.
