With the score quickly level, both teams are back on equal footing, and the game opens up.

Leo Lin stays central, using short movements and linking up with the wings and Busquets through quick passing combinations. the crisp sound of passing echoes across the pitch.
Portugal, however, refuse to be dragged around. they adopt a zonal defensive setup, each player holding position within their assigned area.
The moment a Spanish player enters their zone, a Portuguese defender immediately steps up to mark tightly.
Leo Lin is constantly surrounded by two players. Bernardo Silva tucks inside during defensive phases, joining William Carvalho to close him down from both sides.
But the slender Bernardo Silva looks completely overmatched in front of Leo Lin, barely reaching the height of his nose.
Against Leo Lin, his slight frame gives the impression he could be picked up and tossed aside at any moment.
Because of that, Leo Lin actively seeks out these physical confrontations with Bernardo Silva.

Then he pushes off again with his left foot, bursting forward with the ball like a beast, forcing his way through for a half-turn dribble!
Bernardo tries to grab him, but he can't move him at all. all he ends up with is a handful of sweat, watching helplessly as Leo Lin surges forward toward the penalty area.
As Leo Lin reaches the top of the arc, he plants his right foot and unleashes a thunderous left-footed strike!

You can tell from the sound alone how powerful that shot is!
But Pepe throws himself in the way and makes a crucial block. a red mark appears on his forehead, yet he ignores it completely, continuing to organize his teammates with grit written all over him.
Spain begin to ramp things up in the latter stages of the first half, creating more and more chances!
This is exactly what the four-man coaching staff had planned.
From the very first minute, Spain have been applying pressure, gradually increasing the intensity.
Like slowly heating water. raising the temperature bit by bit!
By the time Portugal realize what's happening, their structure is already breaking down. no matter how they try, they can't escape the boiling pot!
42nd minute!
"Another counterattack! Bernardo Silva threads a pass. Ronaldo is quickly in position on the left!"
"Space in the middle!"
"Across to Guedes!"
"Oh dear, Guedes gets tangled up. he tries to pass again but Ramos steps in to intercept. was he trying to pass it into the net?"
"Ramos gives it to Leo Lin. Spain counter!"
Leo Lin receives, turns, and without even looking up, clips a perfectly weighted ball over the top straight to Diego Costa. he had already read the run!
Diego Costa controls it with his chest, holds off José Fonte, cuts with his left to bait Pepe into a challenge, then shifts again with his right. the Portuguese center-back duo are beaten!
One-on-one with the keeper, Costa strikes low!
Straight toward the bottom left corner!
Patrício freezes. then collapses to the ground!
"Swish!!!"
"Oh!"
"Costa! Heavy metal unleashed!"
