A level nine goblin let out a roar the moment it came into the platform, it rushed at Kai like it was angry at him.
It gripped the sword in its hand and attacked ferociously, Kai blocked the attack, his feet moved back a bit, his eyes remained locked on the goblin.
Using his feet, he kicked the goblin in the chest, throwing it back, and then went in for the kill, as his blade severed the head of the monster. More entered the platform, pouring in mighty numbers.
Kai immediately backed away, putting some distance between him and the over ten goblins that had entered, he wasted no time, pointing his hand toward them.
"Lightning fall." He roared, the magical formation formed in the sky and lightning fell from above, slamming into the goblins and completely obliterating each one.
When the massive blast had ended, all that was left were the red crystals that littered the floor. He walked toward it casually, but then the ground started vibrating.
BOOM
BOOM
Something was coming, something large, something very large.
Kai rushed to the edge and that was when he saw it coming, a massive goblin that was ten feet tall, packed with tight muscles, and gripping what looked like a massive log of wood.
It was a level twelve monster, and around it were lower level hobgoblins as well. Its health bar glowed red like its level, and there was a skull icon next to the lifebar.
"What the freaking hell is that?" Kai asked in fear. It looked like it could be the boss of the floor, yet it was coming along with the normal monsters, that was definitely not how it was meant to be.

"A mutated what? Why the hell is something like that here? What even is a mutated Goblin General?"
[Savage-Rider22: It's a Goblin General that attempted to become a Goblin King in the wrong environment and failed, becoming a mutated monster. The skull its level stands for mutated.]
Savage Rider found the information and informed Kai. Kai could have easily used appraisal to find the answer, but he was in shock and Savage seemed to work really fast.

The chat all eagerly spoke, waiting for the monster to reach and the fight to begin. Kai stepped back from the edge, he pressed his back against a pillar, waiting for the monster.
Finally, it stepped into the platform, its footsteps enough to cause the ground to shake.
"Deep breath, attack first and we'll win," Kai muttered to himself, he gripped his sword, pressed his foot against the ground and shot forward.
"Let's use the butterfly dance to the max," Kai said, he gripped the sword, the sword style running round his mind, every move to execute, and every move to carry out.
The goblin looked at Kai rushing at him, it felt as though Kai was dancing around, and was hard to pinpoint, so it did what was best, it lifted both hands into the air and swung the massive tree downward at Kai.
Kai immediately forced a brake, the tree slammed into the ground, breaking into the platform with immense force, debris flew in every direction, dust rose like pillars.

It lifted the trunk again, its piercing red gaze already looking out for Kai.
Kai wanted to attack right then, but more goblins rushed into the stage, their gaze locked on him, they rushed ahead.
'This is going to be an issue, handling the small fries and taking out that massive monster, shit.' Kai thought to himself in worry, the difficulty just went up several levels.
He held his sword tight, the first goblin came into range and attacked with an overhead slash, Kai blocked it and then kicked the goblin in the chest, throwing it back. He turned around and hacked another goblin in half, but while he wasn't looking, the goblin general attacked, swinging the massive tree in anger.
Kai turned around late, and the massive trunk slammed into his side, throwing him into the air like a ragdoll, he slammed against the barrier hard, coughing from the impact as his eyes nearly rolled.
He dropped to the ground, his health draining by a staggering ten percent.
Kai looked at it and grimaced, that attack alone had done that much damage, it was genuinely crazy. He didn't get the time to analyze his current situation though, he got on his feet, tons of goblins were already rushing his way.
'Tch, I'm sure I've gotten some sort of skill that could help me now, but I just can't pull a new skill on stream out of nowhere, tch.' Kai thought to himself and then charged ahead, using the butterfly dance, he moved through them like an unpredictable wave and killed all of them easily, their heads flew into the sky.
He locked onto the general again, and rushed at it. The general looked right at Kai, and then swung the trunk down extremely fast. Kai moved out of the way, the tree slammed into the ground, debris flew in every direction, but he kept his eyes locked on the general.
When he was in range, he lunged, foot hard against the ground, stabbing right for the side. His sword penetrated into the body of the massive monster, and it let out a thundering roar.

He pulled the sword out and then retreated, as he knew it was far from over, and now he would see the true strength of the monster. And just as he had thought, the general grew enraged, and then suddenly, its body began pulsing with red veins, it looked at Kai and then roared again, before black tendrils ripped out of its back, covered in red veins that glowed.
The tendrils twisted and turned until they formed four tendril arms at its back.
"What in the eldritch horror is this?" Kai commented.
