Chapter: The Demon Path Cultivator

A Place to Cultivate

After officially joining the Outer Sect of the Demonic Sect, Lonas noticed that the area was crowded with disciples constantly competing for resources.

He frowned.

"I need somewhere quiet to cultivate," he thought.

Just then, the familiar mechanical voice echoed inside his mind.

Ding!

Mission Issued:A hidden cultivation ground rich in Demonic Energy has been located. Travel there and cultivate.

Lonas nodded.

"System, show me the location."

A map immediately appeared before his eyes.

Following the route, he eventually arrived at a secluded valley hidden deep within the mountains. Thick Demonic Energy filled the air, making it an ideal place for cultivation.

Without wasting another second, Lonas sat cross-legged and entered deep meditation.

Days passed as he continuously refined his cultivation.

The Sect Mission

While Lonas was training, the Sect Leader gathered all the disciples.

"The annual mission assignments will begin immediately!"

Disciples from every division assembled in the central square.

At the same time, the Great Elder looked around with a frown.

"Where is that boy?"

Another Elder smiled knowingly.

"You're looking for the young genius again?"

The Great Elder sighed.

"Yes."

The Elder laughed.

"He's probably hiding somewhere cultivating."

Returning to the Sect

Far away, Lonas slowly opened his eyes after completing another cultivation session.

The System informed him,

Ding! The Sect Leader has summoned all disciples. Return immediately.

Lonas stood up and calmly returned to the Sect.

As soon as he arrived, one Elder pointed toward him.

"Great Elder, the disciple you were searching for has arrived."

The Great Elder let out a relieved sigh.

"So you finally decided to show yourself."

Lonas simply nodded.

The Demonic Jungle Trial

The Sect Leader stepped forward.

"Listen carefully."

"Your mission is simple."

"Enter the Demonic Jungle."

"Hunt demonic beasts."

"Bring back their Demon Cores."

"Anyone who fails..."

"...will be severely punished."

The crowd immediately became nervous.

The Demonic Jungle was infamous for claiming countless lives.

Only Lonas remained perfectly calm.

To him, it was simply another hunting ground.

Massacre in the Jungle

Inside the jungle, Lonas moved like a ghost.

One beast after another fell beneath his blade.

Soon, dozens of Demon Cores filled his storage bag.

A nearby group of disciples noticed him.

Their greedy eyes immediately focused on his rewards.

"Hand over every Demon Core you have!"

Lonas smiled.

"You believe you can take them from me?"

At that moment...

Ding!

System Alert

Several cultivators intend to rob the Host.

Choose one option:

Eliminate them.

Escape.

Without hesitation, Lonas selected the first option.

The disciples charged.

In the next instant...

Sword light flashed.

Before they could react, every one of them collapsed.

The battle lasted only a single moment.

Lonas looked at their corpses.

"What a waste of time."

"I should hide the bodies before the Sect notices."

The Demonic Book

Ding!

Congratulations!

Reward: Villain Points.

Reward: Demonic Book.

Lonas opened the ancient black book.

It contained a forbidden cultivation technique capable of absorbing the flesh and essence of dead cultivators.

After practicing it, the corpses quickly dissolved into streams of dark energy.

That energy flowed into Lonas' body.

Ding!

New Ability Unlocked!

Eight-Armed Demonic Transformation

Duration: 3 Minutes

Power multiplied dramatically while active.

Lonas smiled with satisfaction before collecting every Demon Core and returning to the Sect.

A New Record

When the Sect Leader saw the mountain of Demon Cores Lonas placed before him, he was completely stunned.

"You..."

"You actually broke the Sect's record."

Even the surrounding Elders were speechless.

The Sect Leader laughed.

"When I was your age, I couldn't gather half this many."

Just then, the Great Elder stepped forward once again.

"Boy..."

"Become my disciple."

Lonas asked calmly,

"What benefit will I receive?"

The Great Elder smiled.

"I can tell you're close to another breakthrough."

"I'll personally provide high-grade cultivation pills."

"They'll greatly increase your cultivation speed."

Lonas considered the offer for a moment before nodding.

"Fine."

The Great Elder smiled with genuine excitement.

Another Breakthrough

Inside his room, Lonas immediately consumed the cultivation pills.

For four continuous hours, Demonic Energy surged throughout his body.

Finally—

Boom!

His cultivation advanced from Level 4 Low Stage to Level 4 Mid Stage.

Opening his eyes, Lonas smiled.

"At this pace..."

"I'll reach Level 6—Martial King within a year."

"My cultivation speed is terrifying."

A Villain Saves Someone

Later, while walking through the city streets, Lonas noticed several thugs surrounding a frightened young boy.

He stopped.

"Should I interfere?"

After a brief moment, he shrugged.

"Fine."

As he approached, one thug sneered.

"What?"

"You planning to be a hero?"

Lonas slowly leaned toward him and whispered,

"No..."

"I have no interest in becoming a hero."

"I prefer being the villain."

"And do you know what villains do?"

He burst into unsettling laughter.

The thugs attacked.

A single flash of his sword answered them.

Moments later...

Every head rolled across the ground.

Blood stained the street.

Lonas turned toward the little boy.

"Are you alright?"

The child stared at him in terror.

"Y-Yes!"

Without another word, the boy ran away as fast as possible.

Lonas scratched his head.

"...Was I that scary?"

The Red Spirit Stone

Later that day, Lonas arrived at the marketplace.

A merchant shouted,

"Red Spirit Stone!"

"Only twenty gold coins!"

Lonas walked over.

"I'll buy it."

Before the merchant could respond, another voice interrupted.

"I said I'm buying it."

The crowd immediately whispered.

"That's Lu Chen."

"The Governor's spoiled son."

Lonas looked at the arrogant youth.

A new idea entered his mind.

"I don't just need power..."

"I need followers."

"I'll build a family powerful enough to dominate the entire domain."

Lu Chen Joins

Lu Chen sneered.

"Who do you think you are?"

Lonas calmly asked,

"What is your name?"

"Lu Chen."

"Good name."

"I have an offer."

"Join me."

Lu Chen laughed.

"Why would I?"

Lonas released a fraction of his aura.

The terrifying pressure instantly crushed Lu Chen's confidence.

Although Lu Chen had reached Peak Level 3, he couldn't even breathe under Lonas' presence.

Trying to appear brave, Lu Chen shouted,

"My father is the Governor!"

Lonas looked at him with complete indifference.

"So?"

"You're merely the son of a Governor from a tiny city."

"The world is much larger than this insignificant place."

"You are simply a small fish trapped in a small pond."

Lu Chen fell silent.

He finally understood how insignificant he truly was.

Lonas extended his hand.

"Follow me."

"I'll make your name known throughout the country."

"I'll protect you."

"You only need loyalty."

After several moments of hesitation...

Lu Chen knelt.

"I swear my loyalty."

Lonas smiled.

"Excellent."

"From today onward..."

"You are the first General of the Die Family."

The Governor's Crisis

Lu Chen invited Lonas to the Governor's Mansion.

As they entered, a frightened butler rushed toward them.

"Young Master!"

"The Governor has collapsed!"

Lu Chen hurried inside.

"Father!"

The Governor smiled weakly.

"I'm still alive."

"But there's bad news."

"The Princess of the Nu Dynasty has ordered your elder brother and sister to escort her to the Northern Lands."

Lu Chen's expression changed instantly.

"The Northern Lands?"

"That's one of the deadliest regions in the kingdom!"

"My siblings are only Level 4."

"They'll die there!"

He immediately turned to Lonas.

"My Lord..."

"Please help me save them."

Three Days of Training

Lonas remained calm.

"I need one more breakthrough."

"Only then will we head north."

Lu Chen nodded anxiously.

"How long?"

"Three days."

"I need somewhere dangerous to train."

Lu Chen pointed toward the southern mountains.

"There's a monster-filled jungle there."

"For three days, Lonas fought endless battles against powerful Level 5 and Level 6 demonic beasts. Every fight pushed him closer to his limits, sharpening both his body and his mind."

When the third day ended, Lonas returned to the Governor's Mansion.

His aura had become far more powerful than before.

Looking at Lu Chen, he spoke calmly.

"The time has come."

"We're leaving for the Northern Lands."
