"What's this pretty lady's name?"
Thanks or no thanks to the other function of his system which tells him the name of certain females he comes across.
Even after 20+ years of companionship with it, he still hasn't gotten any idea of the selection process since only a handful of women the system had pointed out.
It didn't help that his system doesn't add much to his overall strength and mostly just support.
For instance, this girl…
The system only showed her name and personality.
Still, he had to ask for her name, as he has no idea of this world.
"I uh…mmm~?" The girl, Emilia, was brought out of her momentary transfix as she realized the tall man that towered over her asked for her name.
An involuntary moan escaped her lips as she became confused by the strange sensations running through her body.
"Emilia? What's wrong?"
The flying cat floated in front of her concerned, seeing her face taking on a red tint.
"I…don't know, Puck." She answered with a head tilt.
The cat whose name is Puck, eyes narrowed slightly as he studied Emilia closely.
Seeing that nothing was wrong with her, his nerves eased but then a slight suspicion arose with him.
He turned to the tall stranger, who had come up to them a few seconds ago—just before Emilia began acting strangely.
Before he could ask anything, the girl introduced herself.
"Um. I'm Emilia!" She said a little enthusiastically as she gazed up at Draven.
The whole time, he was watching their interaction and her behavior already made apparent what was happening to her.
"Beautiful name, perfect for a girl such as yourself." He leaned forward slightly looking down at her and flashed a smile.
"Mmm~" She blushed. Legs pressed together tightly as if protecting precious material.
Safe to say it was deadly for a girl like her.
He smiled as he saw her reaction to his compliment .
"Would you mind telling me our current location? I'm kind of lost at the moment." He said offhandedly.
Although half of him wanted to seduce this innocent girl in front of him, carry off to a dark room and drill her senseless, with no idea of how things work in this world, doing anything brash off the bat would be stupid.
His first priority now is acquiring information then pounding.
"We're currently at Roswaal's mansion. It's far from the nearest kingdom, Kingdom of Lugnica." Puck said, still eyeing Draven suspiciously.
"Kingdom of lugnica. Roswaal mansion..." Draven muttered, quickly memorizing those names.
The little cat flew up to Draven's height. "Where are you from anyway? Your name sounds like some royalty and your clothes look really expensive."
That's right. Even though he was supposedly dressed in combat attire, it was extremely extravagant.
An ornate all-white coat with a high collar, and a metallic chest piece, along with white gloves and boots.
Wrapped around his wavy, silver blonde hair that only served to keep his hair out his face, was a horn like head piece.
Pretty non combat oriented if you ask anyone else.
Then again. With spiral power in his arsenal, even regular clothes became stronger than diamond when worn.
Draven chuckled. "Well. I am a king."
"Eh? I was joking."
Emilia was surprised. "Eeeh! A king!? Of where!?" Before becoming nervous. "U-um… sorry."
She apologized for her outburst.
Even though she aims to become the ruler of Lugnica in the future and ultimately end discrimination against Demi-humans, being in front of a supposedly king unnerved her.
Seeing the anxious look on her face, Draven smiled at her and reassured her, "I'm not gonna hold it against you so don't worry about it."
Hearing this, she breathed a sigh of relief.
Puck then jumped in. "Hey, so what's a king doing out in the sticks?"
"You could say I'm a run away king at the moment."
They gave him looks.
Emilia then pointed at the mansion and offered, "You want to…come inside?"
"Hmm sure." He nodded.
The two began walking slowly towards the mansion with Draven a bit behind her as he spied on her ass.
It's not as huge as Amara or Lyra. But it should fit nicely in my hands.
Meanwhile he was looking and moving towards a promising future, inside the very mansion they were moving towards, the owner was in denial.
"It's not real…"
A man with long indigo blue hair and his face painted nearly resembling a half baked clown could be seen leaning back in his chair with a blank look on his face.
The owner of the mansion, Roswaal L. Mathers.
In his hand hanging, loosing off the chair's arm rest, was a book with no works on any of the pages.
This book was called the gospel.
It allows him to predict the future events and their outcomes—basically a script of fate that he follows to guide his action.
He believes the Gospel is the absolute truth and has spent the past centuries following it and basing his decision based on its contents.
And a few minutes ago, while he was reading it as usual, something he never thought possible happened—
It began malfunctioning.
The words on the pages began shifting and letters began flickering.
He had been panicking and tried doing everything he could to fix the problem, but alas… he failed.
The words had disappeared, leaving it blank and no more words began appearing.
And now that the very thing he depends on and where near all his confidences comes from is no longer of use, he could only stare blankly at the ceiling.
"… I must be dreaming." He muttered to himself as he punched his cheek.
It hurts… So I'm awake…
"He… he… hehehaha!" He could only laugh at his own misfortune.
After laughing at himself, he closed the books and rested on desk before trying to calm himself down.
"I can't go showing weakness or uncertainty, now can I?"
He was interrupted as knocking came from the door.
"Come in." He shifted the now empty gospel into an unassuming pile.
Enter a short girl with medium pink hair covering her left eye dressed in maid outfit.
"What is it, Ram?"
"Lord Roswaal. Emilia has brought a guest." She informed him.
"A guest?"
Who could it be? At a time like this?
Ram nodded. "Yes. They are in the Great hall."
He sighed heavily to fully calm his nerves. "Let's go."
…
Inside the great hall, while Draven stood awaiting for the master of the mansion to arrive with Emilia beside him stealing glances, Draven was focused on something else.
[Name: Rem
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Personality: Quiet, Obedient, insecure, self-sacrificing and loyal.]
Another girl the system deemed special enough to pull up her information.
Two in one day… Damn I'm eating well.
Usually he would have to go to another kingdom before the system pulled up another profile.
He really needs to figure out the criteria this system sets.
In any case, looking at the girl. She is quite cute.
With medium length blue hair that covered her right, large light blue eyes.
She wore a maid uniform that gave the impression her breasts were small to any untrained eye but unfortunately that won't work on a lecher like Draven.
She's pretty small though… He thought.
Soon, the door was pushed open and Roswaal came in full of welcoming smiles.
"Greetings traveler! Welcome to my mansion!"
He spread his arms as he came up to Draven and was caught off guard by the height difference between them.
"Nice to meet you. You must be Roswaal?" Draven returned the greeting as they shook hands.
"That's correct. I am Roswaal. Roswaal L. Mathers, lord of this mansion and current head of the House Mathers."
Beside Draven, Emilia also added. "He is also the Head Court Mage of the Kingdom of Lugunica."
Draven nodded, turning back to Roswaal.
"Quite a title you have Mr. Roswaal. Your resume must be outstanding. Then allow me to introduce myself."
He placed his hand on his chest. "My name is Draven Valtor Aurelius, Head of House Aurelius."
Roswaal then feigned impressed. "Ooh. You must be a fine noble, I take it. Seems you have already met our dear little half elf and great spirit. Then let me introduce the others."
He then indicated this to the two maids behind now.
"This cold faced girl is Rem and this is her twin sister Ram."
They came forward and bowed.
"Hello, I'm Rem. Nice to meet you."
"I'm Ram. Nice to meet you."
"Likewise."
System.
[Name: Ram
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Personality: Caring, sardonic, blunt, loyal.]
Interesting.
Chapter 2 end.
