Chapter 75 - System Upgrade! Legendary Pokémon Capture?!

"Huh? Consumption amount? What does that mean?" Peter asked, frowning.

[Ding—When the host uses another person's funds to recharge, a 50% handling fee will be deducted and counted as internal system consumption…]

Peter: ???

He seriously suspected the system was taking advantage of the situation—

but he had no proof.

More importantly…

this money was dirty.

He didn't even have the confidence to argue back.

Left with no choice, he swallowed his grievances whole.

"At least there's still over ten thousand left…" Peter smacked his lips and tapped Confirm Upgrade.

"—Wait!! Something's wrong!"

The instant he pressed it, a bad feeling surged up his spine.

And sure enough—

[Ding—10,000 Master Points consumed. System upgrade complete.

Legendary Pokémon Capture Module unlocked!]

"System—I wish your mother good health!!!"

Peter cursed on the spot.

Now he was down to 7,632 Master Points.

…But honestly?

It was all money he'd scammed anyway—what was there to complain about?

Upgrading the system wasn't a waste.

Thinking it over, the remaining points were still enough to boost Lopunny and Indeedee's talents.

After all, breaking the talent cap only allowed +20 points at a time, and you needed time to adapt before adding more. Excess points wouldn't help much anyway.

He opened the system panel.

Beneath the original options, a brand-new colorful button had appeared:

[Legendary Pokémon]

[Legendary Pokémon Capture]

Everyone mocks Legendary spammers.

Everyone envies Legendary spammers.

This system is dedicated to turning the host into a new-generation Legendary Trainer, assembling a full team of Legendary Pokémon.

—A true Master challenges the gods with a mortal body.

[Ding—Based on the host's attributes, a suitable capture lineup has been matched:

"Normal-type Legendary Lineup"]

[The host may choose one of the following Legendary Pokémon to capture.

After selection, the system will deduct Master Points and generate a task guide.

Only one active guide may exist at a time.]

① Arceus

The Creator God. Born before the universe itself—the origin of all Pokémon and the architect of the Pokémon world.

[Recommended capture level: Lv. 90]

② Meloetta

The Deity of Melody. Uses song to influence the emotions of humans and Pokémon.

When attacked, it weakens opponents' fighting spirit with joyful rhythms.

After using Relic Song, it can switch from Aria Forme to Pirouette Forme.

[Recommended capture level: Lv. 60]

③ Regigigas

The King of the Titans. In ancient times, it dragged continents to shape tectonic plates and landmasses.

During the Ice Age, Stone Age, and Bronze Age, it created the Regis from icebergs, stone, and steel.

[Recommended capture level: Lv. 80]

④ Silvally

An artificial Legendary Pokémon created by mimicking Arceus.

Equipped with a special AR System that allows it to change types by swapping memory disks.

[Recommended capture level: Lv. 50]

⑤ Bewear

Specifically refers to the unique Bewear of Melemele Island in Alola—known as the Bear God.

Possesses terrifying martial prowess: running across the sea, catching artillery shells barehanded,

and excelling in land, air, and sea combat alike.

[Recommended capture level: Lv. 60]

⑥ TBD (Host may designate freely)

[Upon completing a task, Legendary recognition may be obtained.

After successful capture, new task guides can be unlocked.

Once this feature is active, there is a chance for passive Legendary encounters to trigger without consuming Master Points.]

"…Holy hell… this is insane."

Peter's jaw nearly hit the floor.

Put simply—

pay the price, and the system hands you a Legendary walkthrough.

Follow it, and capture success is basically guaranteed.

A full team of six Legendaries.

And the most outrageous part?

Arceus. The literal Creator God.

"System," Peter asked cautiously, having learned his lesson,

"how many Master Points does it cost to start a Legendary capture?"

He wasn't about to get ambushed by another surprise deduction.

[Ding—Opening a Legendary Pokémon Capture task requires 10,000 Master Points…]

"Yikes… that's expensive."

Peter clicked his tongue.

His eyes lingered on the list, itching—but reality reined him in.

"Forget it. My strength isn't there yet. I'll wait."

"…But still," he muttered,

"that ten thousand points was kind of worth it."

After all, the points came from Kodai's wallet.

Unlocking the Legendary module alone justified the cost.

If a passive trigger happened to occur?

He'd earn everything back in one go.

With over 7,000 points left, he could still splurge comfortably for a while.

Grinning, Peter opened the Talent Allocation Panel.

With his current Master Points, he could finally test the function that breaks racial limits.

Among his five Pokémon, excluding the three that hadn't fully evolved yet, Lopunny and Indeedee were already at max talent.

Without hesitation, Peter selected both for breakthrough.

[Ding—Super-Racial Talent Breakthrough selected: Lopunny, Indeedee.

2 Million Poké Dollars consumed. Breakthrough commencing…]

Click.

The Poké Balls at Peter's waist opened simultaneously.

Lopunny and Indeedee appeared before him.

Brilliant light enveloped both Pokémon.

Within the glow, their bodies began to change.

Lopunny's legs grew fuller and longer, her arms and waist stretching proportionally.

Her ears widened, her silhouette becoming even closer to that of a human martial artist.

Indeedee retained her small, round, adorable form—

but her body scaled up slightly, while the psychic aura around her grew far more pronounced.

Even before this, Lopunny stood close to 1.3 meters tall, already towering over most of her kind.

Indeedee was nearly 1 meter, also above average.

But now—

Lopunny's height surged to 1.45 meters.

Indeedee crossed the 1-meter mark as well.

Peter narrowed his eyes.

So talent changes really did manifest in physical traits.

Lopunny specialized in speed, so her legs saw the most dramatic enhancement.

Indeedee focused on Special Attack, which translated into denser, stronger psychic energy.

Without hesitation, Peter allocated 200 Master Points to each—

exactly enough for +20 talent points.

Their physiques visibly rose just a little more.

[Ding—Breakthrough complete.

Lopunny: Speed Talent +20

Indeedee: Special Attack Talent +20

Further allocation requires full adaptation to new talents.]

Lopunny still needed to awaken her Speed Boost ability fully—

extra speed talent would help her adapt faster.

Indeedee only needed raw output for now. Once her firepower peaked, Peter could diversify later.

The light faded.

Both Pokémon opened their eyes at the same time.

"How do you feel?" Peter asked with a smile.

Lopunny tested her legs, crimson eyes filled with surprise.

Her speed had skyrocketed again.

Standing beside Peter, her head now reached his chest.

She tilted her head.

"Mi-lo? (Did the Master get shorter?)"

"Ee~ (We grew taller~)"

Indeedee giggled, forming a translucent psychic ruler in midair.

Peter released the remaining three Pokémon as well.

"Formal introductions—this is Zorua, our new teammate. You've already met."

"Zoru~!"

Zorua grinned mischievously, transforming into Lopunny—then into Dolliv, Indeedee, and Slakoth, greeting everyone in turn.

The bizarre ability fascinated the group.

Peter smiled.

"So… doesn't that make us exactly a five-stack squad now?"
