Chapter 32 - Chapter 32: The Choice and the Deal

After careful consideration—

Chen Ran chose Tyranitar.

As one of the strongest land-based pseudo-legendary Pokémon, Tyranitar offers tremendous offensive coverage, outstanding durability, and excellent overall bulk. It can anchor a team reliably.

Right now, Chen Ran already had two primary offensive pillars:

One was his god-tier Charmeleon, capable of explosive Fire-type damage.

The other was Riolu, whose future Fighting-type path would serve as a powerful frontline force.

Given his current team composition, selecting a high-damage, high-endurance Tyranitar was a logical and balanced decision.

"Counselor, I choose Tyranitar."

Chen Ran made his decision firmly.

No hesitation.

Once chosen—

There would be no second thoughts.

---

Tyranitar's native region lies in Africa.

As desert kings and tyrants, they hold extremely high status there. Many tribes even revere them as guardian deities.

Fortunately, the Dragon Kingdom maintains good diplomatic relations with several African nations.

Obtaining a Larvitar would not be impossible.

Of course—

Pseudo-legendary trades are rarely simple cash transactions.

They usually involve Pokémon exchanges or large-scale resource trades.

For example, a middleman might require another pseudo-legendary in return.

The school would then negotiate accordingly.

In short—

This was not something Chen Ran needed to worry about.

"Tyranitar? Confirmed?"

Chen Ning nodded.

She approved of the choice.

Although he hadn't chosen Dragonite—the Dragon Kingdom's iconic pseudo-legendary—Tyranitar was still an excellent selection.

"Confirmed."

Chen Ran answered calmly.

Compared to Dragonite, Salamence, and Metagross, Tyranitar might lack the Dragon typing—

But its Rock/Dark combination, bulk, and raw power were more than enough.

Chen Ning immediately called the administration to report the decision.

However—

The person on the other end of the line had another request.

She covered the receiver and turned to Chen Ran.

"The school would like to purchase the four Shiny Pokémon you captured. They're willing to pay full market price. What do you think?"

Market price?

Chen Ran's first instinct was to refuse.

Shiny Pokémon are incredibly rare.

Collectors and performance Trainers would pay a premium for them.

If he handled the sales personally—

He might earn even more.

But after a moment's thought—

He reconsidered.

The school had honored its promise without making things difficult for him.

That already showed goodwill.

Selling to the school would be convenient, transparent, and trouble-free.

If he sold to private companies or Breeder Houses, who knew what hidden deductions or complications might arise?

As for recycling them through the system—

That was even less feasible.

If someone later asked where four Shiny Pokémon had disappeared to—

How would he explain it?

"Alright."

After thinking it through, Chen Ran agreed.

None of the four Shinies were especially rare species.

Their talents were average.

The best among them—Shiny Nuzleaf—only had Gym-level potential.

They weren't worth keeping long-term.

Selling them didn't hurt at all.

Chen Ning was delighted.

Four Shiny Pokémon.

Handled properly, they could boost the school's reputation significantly.

Money wasn't the issue.

Prestige was.

"The Larvitar will be delivered to your dormitory within three days. Payment for the Shiny Pokémon will also be transferred to your account within three days."

With both matters settled, Chen Ning finally relaxed.

The vehicle ride back was quiet.

Most freshmen were completely exhausted after three days of high-intensity exploration.

Even with the bumps of the road, sleeping in a vehicle was far better than camping in the wilderness.

Chen Ran, however, remained awake.

He began calculating his gains.

---

"Charmeleon has reached Level 25."

From Level 16 to Level 25 in three days—

All thanks to the Experience Doubler.

Only eleven levels remained before evolution into Charizard.

With a few more Secret Realm runs—

Evolution would come naturally.

"As for Riolu…"

With Exp. Share, Riolu reached Level 10 and began participating in battles.

Thanks to the Lucky Egg, it had now climbed to Level 15.

Lucky Egg provided a 50% bonus—less powerful than the Experience Doubler, but still significant.

Riolu's level growth wasn't explosive—

But it was steady.

As for evolution—

Riolu evolves through high friendship.

Chen Ran could clearly sense their bond through the power of aura.

Their intimacy had already surpassed 100.

Reaching the required threshold was only a matter of time.

"And then there's Jirachi…"

Chen Ran sighed.

The little Mythical Pokémon had done absolutely nothing for three days—

Except eat.

Thirty lollipops.

Thirty.

Because Chen Ran didn't allow it to battle—

Jirachi's level hadn't increased at all.

"Keep it up…"

Chen Ran muttered dryly.

It hadn't even been a month since he transmigrated into this world.

And yet—

He now possessed:

A high-level Charmeleon

A fast-growing Riolu

A soon-to-arrive Larvitar

And a Mythical Pokémon, Jirachi

That was already incredible.

He clenched his fist slightly.

"Work harder."

"This year, I'll get my Professional Trainer License."

And this—

Was only the beginning.
