Chapter 57 - Chapter 57: Honesty is the Best Policy

"Ah, this!"

"They weren't actually released, so as long as they weren't used, you can't blame me!"

Patchouli turned her head away... At this moment, those who had been dizzied by the rush of the waves finally stood back up. They looked at their "companions" who were still sizzling and bleeding from flying knife wounds, and then decisively rushed toward Patchouli's direction again. After all, the power on this side was smaller and hadn't hurt anyone.

Regarding this, Remilia on the throne and Patchouli, seeing the opponent rush up again, were both very unhappy. The former felt her pose was getting stiff; why hadn't any blind fools come to cause her trouble? The latter felt that maybe she had been too casual just now, making them think she was an easy target.

And then... "Damn it, you really don't take me seriously, do you!"

"Take my spear!"

"Oh my, magic is really too troublesome, take my book!"

The former threw the spear in her hand; it split into a dozen in mid-air and rained down. As for the latter, at some point, a chain had been wrapped around her book. She swung the book like a meteor hammer, using the chain to whip those rushing at her.

"Darn it! Why can I only use small flying knives!"

"I want to play with big ones too, get bigger!"

Seeing the actions of the two, Izayoi Furan immediately expressed her dissatisfaction; she also wanted to play with big weapons. So in the next second, the table knife in her hand grew several times larger. Then she hugged the giant table knife and slashed... Facing attacks from three... four sides, those people tried to struggle and were then knocked unconscious, pinned to the ground like skewered candied haws, or knocked out by a table knife to the face.

In less than a minute, no one was left standing on the field.

"Wu... these people are too weak, it's no fun at all!" Izayoi Furan stomped her feet and said angrily.

"It's your fault, holding such a big table knife, you almost scared them to death." Remilia pointed at the people knocked unconscious by the side of the table knife.

"You're not much better, can these people even survive?" Patchouli pointed at those unlucky "skewered candied haws."

"It should be fine, aren't they Super Terrans?" Remilia asked innocently.

"No matter how Super Terran they are, they can't withstand this!" Patchouli expressed that indeed, she, wearing glasses, was the true intellectual, while the other clones and even the original were brainless.

"Don't worry, as long as they aren't dead. I've called Aunt Fumizuki."

"Are you guys still playing? If not, I'll cancel the spell, otherwise they won't be able to get in."

Flandre indicated she wasn't stupid; injuring someone could be explained as them suddenly appearing in the house, and as a "weak girl" facing so many large men, she just couldn't hold back for a moment. But if it were murder, it would probably be much more troublesome. After all, Blood Demons were already discriminated against. Having finally managed to build a somewhat positive image, little Flandre didn't want it ruined by these nobodies.

Fumizuki was puzzled after receiving the message. She remembered that Chen Huijie and Beatrice Swire should have been with Flandre; why would she call her? While arranging for her guards to rush over, she called the two who were just about to slurp noodles.

The two were stunned for a second and then rushed out of the noodle shop in a panic. By the time they rushed back home like a bolt of lightning, they saw Flandre sitting in the room watching cartoons. As for those people, because some had slightly serious injuries, they were receiving emergency treatment in the backyard from the ninjas under Madam Fumizuki.

"What happened?" Beatrice asked.

Flandre pointed to the backyard. "After you guys went out, those guys came in. Flandre thought they were here to play with Flandre, but they were all bad people. They wanted to bully Flandre, so Flandre beat them up!"

Flandre replied as if it were only natural.

"They came in right after we left?" Chen Huijie asked suddenly.

"Yes!"

Flandre nodded, then she found the two of them suddenly sandwiching her in the middle, their expressions very grim.

"So little Flandre wasn't asleep at all, but was faking sleep to trick our feelings?"

Flandre shuddered; how could she have forgotten about that? But little Flandre's eyes darted around.

"Of... of course not... I only woke up after entering the room. Yes, when I woke up, I saw the big sisters were about to go out. I thought they were playmates you called for Flandre, so I didn't call you."

Flandre racked her brains and finally thought of an explanation, though neither of them believed it. Instead, each pinched one of Flandre's cheeks.

"Hehehe, disobedient little Flandre is going to be eaten by her big sisters."

"Waaah!"

After Flandre promised to report everything that happened to them in the future, Chen Huijie and Beatrice went to the backyard to check on the intruders' condition with satisfaction.

"There are seventeen intruders in total, twelve with minor injuries and five with serious injuries."

"Among the twelve minor injuries, three are unconscious from excessive blood loss due to multiple blade stabs, five are unconscious from heavy blunt force trauma, and four are unconscious from being hit in the head by objects."

"As for the five seriously injured, they all have very severe penetrating wounds. Fortunately, we arrived in time, so there are no fatalities."

The leader was none other than Shirayuki, who recounted the injuries to Chen Huijie. Chen Huijie walked over and took a look. Indeed, as Shirayuki said, the wounds were all physical; not a single injury caused by a spell could be seen. Of course, from the fact that many of them were soaking wet, it was clear they had indeed been attacked by spells, but the spells hadn't caused them any real harm.

Chen Huijie felt very puzzled by this. After all, from the methods Flandre showed when they went out to catch the Blood Demon last time, it was clear her magical attainment was extremely high, not to mention the two rounds of teaching proved she was a top-tier magic master in both practice and theory. Could a spell cast by such a person only get these people wet?

Then where did the wounds on their bodies come from? Could it be internal fighting again? She looked at Shirayuki and asked her question.

Shirayuki shook her head. "We compared their weapons with these injuries; they are clearly completely different."

"So the injuries on them were caused by four types of weapons?" Chen Huijie quickly gathered some information, fully utilizing her skills as a Major Crimes Unit inspector.

"Correct. The penetrating weapons we can currently confirm should be spears or lances. The blunt weapons are currently unclear; the wounds are a bit strange and need further study. The stabs should be from daggers, and those hit in the head were likely struck by flat objects."

Shirayuki spoke of their investigation results... Chen Huijie just wanted to complain about where Flandre had hidden all those weapons.

"What about these people? Should I have the Guard Department come and take them away?" Chen Huijie looked at the people and asked.

"Leave them to us. I'm afraid the Guard Department won't be able to take them away!" Shirayuki looked outside and said.

Chen Huijie was startled to hear this. She understood that the other party didn't mean they looked down on the Guard Department, but that these people must have backup outside. If the brothers from the Guard Department came, they might fall into the opponent's trap, and there might even be sacrifices. So leaving it to Madam Fumizuki's Ninja Guards was the safest.

"Then I'll leave it to you."

Chen Huijie watched as several cars drove in, and then the others took those people and left the yard.

After Shirayuki and the group of ninjas left, the two returned to the house.

"Little Flandre, how did you cause those wounds?" After sitting down, Beatrice put her arm around Flandre's shoulder and spoke in a gentle tone.

Flandre shuddered. Usually at times like this, the next thing would be her big sister spanking her. As the saying goes, 'Honesty leads to a flattened butt, but resistance leads to a year of house arrest.' Anyway, at worst she'd be put in solitary confinement, but she absolutely couldn't let her butt be hit. Her eyes darted around.

"They caused it themselves!"

"Hmm, little Flandre, you'd better think carefully before you speak. Our Forensics Department is very strong. How those injured people were hurt can be found out with one check." Beatrice's grip tightened.

"It was magic! I added magic!" Flandre held her head in her hands, full of majesty.

???

"Tell us in detail!"

Chen Huijie also expressed curiosity. After all, no weapons could be seen on Flandre, yet she could cause so much physical damage. Seeing the two looking at her, Flandre reached out, and a flaming greatsword appeared in her hand.

"This is Evocation magic, with a tiny bit of Transmutation added."

Then the flaming greatsword disappeared. She waved her hand, and several stones flew over, some turning into table knives, others into various spears, swords, and halberds.

"This is pure Transmutation. Although Patchy said it's embarrassing for a mage to use weapons in combat, I really like the feeling of close combat, so I learned a lot of Transmutation spells."

Flandre's effortless display left the two of them dumbfounded.

"Is it that simple?" Beatrice asked disbelievingly.

"It's not simple. Patchy said someone used Polymorph to try and turn themselves into a mouse to sneak into someone's house, but they overdid the spell and forgot they were human, living their whole life as a mouse."

Hearing Flandre's words, the two couldn't help but shudder. A person turning into a mouse and living their whole life with a mouse's appearance and mindset was simply too terrifying.

"Phew, that's so dangerous. Flandre, you should use it less!" Beatrice said worriedly.

"Hehe, that's for use on people. I use it on inanimate objects, so naturally there's no problem!"

While chatting, Flandre suddenly looked outside.

"What's wrong?"

"Those people who just left are fighting with another group!" Flandre replied.

Hearing her words, the two immediately took out their weapons and looked around alertly.

"Don't worry, those ninjas prepared in advance. The other side didn't win and has been driven back." Flandre comforted the two.

"How do you know?" Beatrice noticed a key point.
