Chapter 4 - Science God 4: Cutting-Edge Nanoparticles

After a series of diagnostic techniques, including pulse checks and instrumental scans, Heaven Canceller requested a brief stay to devise a treatment plan.

The situation was dire. After his assessment, Heaven Canceller found Dolly's condition was as bad as he'd feared, with one exception: her will to live remained remarkably strong.

Despite her bodily functions teetering on the edge of collapse, their continued operation highlighted her tenacious desire to survive.

As a doctor, Heaven Canceller would spare no effort to save any patient, especially one with such a fierce will to live. He was determined to give his all.

Thus, he unceremoniously instructed Samuel to prepare a vast array of equipment, medications, and advanced technology while he began formulating a treatment plan.

Samuel, in turn, showcased his latest, yet-to-be-revealed medical technology—nanoscale robotic particles—to Heaven Canceller.

For saving Dolly, Samuel shared Heaven Canceller's all-out commitment.

It wasn't just about the potential benefits Dolly could bring later. It was also because... he had promised.

Samuel had vowed to keep her alive, and he was determined to honor that promise.

And so... after just one night.

"I've prepared the treatment plan. My role here is limited; the key lies in your nanoscale robotic particles. I'm not deeply familiar with your latest tech, but if it performs as described in your documentation, today should go smoothly. If it doesn't... you'd better speak up now so I can devise an alternative."

Heaven Canceller spoke with a serious tone. This was the first time he'd entrusted a patient's life to someone who wasn't a doctor.

But, as it stood, the most viable plan to save Dolly hinged on this technology.

Her congenital genetic engineering flaws, compounded by the cumulative side effects of experimental scars, left her body in a state akin to an elderly person on the brink of death.

Even the most skilled doctor couldn't snatch someone back from the jaws of death when their lifespan was exhausted.

However, if Samuel's so-called "nanorobots" were as effective as claimed, they could enter Dolly's body, support her organ functions, and sustain her vital processes. With proper care afterward, recovery was not out of the question.

"Hey, old man! Who doesn't know the Prometheus Group's tech is top-tier? Besides, this is my patient. I'm not going to drop the ball. Just don't be so shocked you forget your follow-up treatment plan."

Samuel was brimming with confidence. If a scientist didn't trust their own theories and products, how could they expect others to?

"Hmph... Even if I were shocked into dementia, I'd never forget a treatment plan for any patient."

Heaven Canceller chuckled, acknowledging Samuel's capabilities. If Samuel was this confident, it meant he wouldn't falter.

Nanoscale robotic particles, officially termed "Bioengineered Microscale Cutting-Edge Nanoparticle Systems," were contained in a fifty-milligram vial of red liquid. Their function was to flow through the bloodstream, distributing tiny nanoparticles throughout the body. Upon activation, they assisted in sustaining vital functions.

Typically, it took three days for the particles to distribute evenly across the body.

Given the time constraints, Samuel decided to manually control the particles to expedite the process.

Within those fifty milliliters, there were hundreds of thousands of nanoparticles. With red blood cells circulating thousands of times daily and the body's vast network of blood vessels, delivering these particles to specific areas of Dolly's body in a short time was no small feat. Even the most advanced supercomputers on the market would struggle under such a load.

But... Samuel could handle it.

No computer was needed. He was one of the most formidable computational machines in the world, surpassed only by Academy City's mainframe, the "Tree Diagram."

If fully unleashed, Samuel's computational capacity could theoretically simulate an entire parallel version of Academy City in data form.

For him, personally managing this task was effortless.

Heaven Canceller's earlier concerns stemmed from both his unfamiliarity with the new technology and his underestimation of Samuel's individual computational capacity.

"Let's begin!"

"The patient's life is in your hands!"

Samuel injected the blood-red agent into Dolly's body. The crimson liquid slowly dispersed, breaking down into countless nanoparticles within her bloodstream, circulating with the flow.

"Firewall, open permissions, Level B!"

Firewall, designed to protect Samuel, was a self-imposed restriction. He unlocked it to Level B, granting fifty percent access to his computational capacity.

A colossal wave of computational power radiated from Samuel's mind, seamlessly interfacing with the nanoparticles. Under this overwhelming computational load, his emotions were suppressed.

Samuel's gaze turned cold and detached. In his mind, a 3D model of Dolly's body materialized, detailing everything from her major organs to the tiniest capillaries.

The trajectory of a single nanoparticle was mapped in his mental simulation. Dolly's body model fragmented into tens of thousands of segments as countless simulated experiments ran rapidly in his mind. Within a single second, the optimal outcome of these tens of thousands of simulations crystallized in Samuel's consciousness.

Rather than retracting his vast computational power, Samuel directed it to guide the nanoparticles along the perfect route derived from the simulations.

This route, selected from hundreds of thousands of simulations, was the fastest, most effective, and safest path, with no risk of error.

Samuel's computational capacity enveloped Dolly's entire body. When every step of the process was executed flawlessly, the best outcome was inevitable.

The nanoparticles successfully reached their designated positions, forming a perfect cycle under Samuel's calculated design, ensuring no issues would arise in the short term.

All of this took just ten minutes.

"Firewall, deactivate!"

The immense computational power was reined back in, resuming its data calculations, and Samuel's emotions returned from their suppressed state.

"Done!"

"???"

It was so fast that Heaven Canceller was left stunned, barely processing what had just happened. Without hesitation, he immediately began examining Dolly and planning the next steps.
