Chapter 38 - Ryuen Kakeru Attacks Ibuki Mio

Hiyori kept shifting her seat closer to Ryunosuke. "Hey, hey, is the content of the third volume finished? Hurry and show it to me!"

She was so enthusiastic to see the third volume that her body leaned toward him.

Ryunosuke hurriedly held her back.

"Too close! Shiina-san, you're too close."

Hiyori just realized and moved away with an embarrassed face. She was too enthusiastic about reading that her emotions overflowed.

Seeing that scene, Ibuki teased Ryuen. "Our strategist seems about to be stolen by someone~"

Responding to Ibuki's teasing, Ryuen's face became very gloomy.

(Damn brat! Don't tell me he's known Hiyori for a long time? No wonder Hiyori was so aggressive in volunteering.)

Ryuen came out of the alley with his hands in his pockets, no longer wanting to do any testing. He appeared openly in front of Ryunosuke with a displeased face.

"Oi! Green brat, where are you trying to take Shiina, huh?"

Facing Ryuen's sudden appearance, Ryunosuke actually cheered internally. He glanced at the hidden camera he had installed in the blind spot, then still maintained a calm face.

"Oh?"

Seeing his calmness, Ryuen instead suspected whether this was a trap. He wasn't a brainless idiot. Although he was a delinquent, it didn't mean he couldn't think. Seeing the opponent's reaction like that, he knew for sure there was something being hidden.

Ryuen suddenly stopped his steps, looking around warily. He was afraid someone would suddenly jump out and hit him from behind.

Seeing Ryuen stop, Ryunosuke felt a bit disappointed. He actually wanted to bait the other party into making a small mistake like what Yamauchi did. If he could record enough evidence, he could use it to blackmail Ryuen. Unfortunately the opponent was too wary and didn't take the bait.

Seeing the situation heating up, Hiyori stood up and protected Ryunosuke, looking directly at Ryuen.

"Ryuen-kun, that's enough for this time. Please let him go, okay?"

Facing Hiyori's plea, Ryuen clicked his tongue in dissatisfaction and kicked the trash can beside him. Unfortunately, that trash can was where Ryunosuke hid his surveillance camera.

(Damn, bad luck.)

Ryunosuke didn't expect Ryuen's random kick to hit his camera exactly.

Really unlucky...

Although complaining internally, on the surface Ryunosuke still acted calm without ripples to deceive Ryuen. If the opponent knew, the problem could become bigger. Fortunately there was Hiyori protecting him, so Ryuen wouldn't act further.

Sure enough, Ryuen gave face to Hiyori and didn't extend the matter. He turned to leave with his hands in his pockets.

"Let's go, Shiina. Remember, there better not be a next time."

Hiyori sighed in relief and gave thanks. "Thank you, Ryuen-kun. I'll continue to work hard for the class."

"Hmph!" Ryuen snorted but didn't argue.

For him, Hiyori's willingness to voluntarily help the class was something he greatly hoped for. It could be said, letting Ryunosuke go wasn't a loss, but rather a profit for him because Hiyori was very important to his team.

Hiyori looked at Ryunosuke with an apologetic gaze. "Forgive me, Akasaka-kun, for troubling you. I didn't want it to turn out like this. I just wanted to read books peacefully with you."

Hiyori hugged the book in her embrace tightly and pursed her lips.

Ryunosuke waved his hand, signaling that it wasn't a big problem.

Hiyori hesitated for a moment, wanting to say something, but when she saw Ryuen beside her, she felt it difficult to ask Ryunosuke for the next volume. As if understanding what she was thinking, Ryunosuke smiled faintly.

He took out his phone and offered, "Let's exchange contacts, Shiina-san. As soon as I finish writing the third volume of 5 Centimeters per Second, I'll immediately send it to you."

Hiyori's eyes sparkled with delight. She moved closer to me with eyes glistening with happiness. "Really?! You're really willing to send me the contents of the third volume?"

Facing Hiyori like this, Ryunosuke could only smile helplessly. "Of course, aren't we the best reading friends?"

"Quickly take out your phone, let's become friends." He waved the phone in his hand.

Hiyori impatiently took out her phone and linked contacts with Ryunosuke.

After finishing, Ryunosuke said goodbye to Hiyori. The girl looked a bit reluctant because this was a rare reading friend for her. But she also understood that as long as Ryuen was still there, letting Ryunosuke leave as quickly as possible was the safest choice.

Hiyori waved when I left. "Let's read together again sometime, Akasaka-kun~"

Ryunosuke replied with an "OK" hand signal.

On the other side, Ryuen's face became increasingly gloomy. He didn't have a crush on Hiyori, he only considered her as a strategist. But now, his strategist seemed to be getting stolen by someone.

Ibuki approached again and chimed in without reading the situation. "You no longer have a chance, Ryuen. Shiina clearly has someone she likes, and that person isn't you."

"Hah?" Ryuen looked at her like looking at an idiot. "Are you stupid? Where did you see that I like Shiina?"

"I value her talent, not her as a person. Is your brain sick?" Ryuen spat in disgust. "Damn, there's not a single smart person in this class. What the hell are they thinking every day?"

Ibuki, realizing her guess was wrong, immediately felt embarrassed and her face heated up. Without further ado, she immediately challenged Ryuen to fight. "Stop right there!"

Ibuki blocked Ryuen with a fighting stance. Instantly she launched a kick toward Ryuen's crotch.

Ryuen raised his hand to block, his forehead furrowed.

"Oi, don't think I won't dare fight back."

"Go ahead and fight back! If you don't dare fight back, you're not a man."

"Damn, you really think I can't bear to hit you, huh?" Ryuen, who was also hot-tempered, immediately got into a fight with Ibuki.

It didn't take long before the winner was visible. Ryuen won. After all, the physical difference was hard to cover with just technique. Ibuki leaned in the corner with dirty clothes, but her gaze remained unyielding.

When he was about to extend his hand to help her stand, Ibuki spat right in his face. Ryuen froze for a moment before the veins in his temple bulged with anger.

Seeing Ryuen about to hit again, Albert who couldn't stand it finally intervened. With his muscular body, he immediately carried Ryuen.

"Enough, Ryuen! What's the use of continuing to fight? We're in the same class."

"What?! What did you say, bastard? She spat on me! She spat on me, you think I can be patient?!!!"
