Chapter 187 - Chapter 187: Life Sharing

Ziyou stared blankly for a moment, her eyes spinning as she spoke with a voice full of confusion.

"This concubine can indeed transform into a human form."

Having barely calmed down, Ziyou's speaking style finally returned to the modern Ninja World's manner.

Hearing this, Rasa's eyes instantly flashed with a spark of excitement.

He nodded slightly and said:

"Then transform into your human form for me right now."

The giant jellyfish nodded its massive head in a personified manner, obeying in an ethereal voice:

"By your command. This concubine shall transform into her human form."

As soon as the words were spoken, the massive purple jellyfish began to shrink visibly, her nineteen-meter body rapidly contracting.

Finally, when she reached five meters, her body began to emit a gentle white light.

The white light completely enveloped her entire frame.

A few seconds later, the light began to fade.

Finally, a mysterious woman stood before Rasa. She was two meters tall, with silky purple hair draped casually over her shoulders.

Her pupils were solid purple, she wore a purple kimono, and her skin was so white it was nearly transparent.

Rasa stared unblinkingly at the woman, who possessed a classic Yamato Nadeshiko beauty from every angle.

He stepped quickly toward her, patted her slender, rounded shoulder, and said:

"You certainly didn't disappoint me. Your human form is stunning."

Ziyou looked down at the man before her.

Her purple pupils clearly reflected the enthusiastic gaze of the man in front of her.

Seeing the man so eager, a hint of confusion flashed in Ziyou's ethereal, mysterious purple eyes.

She didn't quite understand why this man's attitude toward her had shifted so drastically just because she changed her appearance.

However, even if she didn't understand the reason, the shift in his attitude was likely a good thing, wasn't it?

With that thought, Ziyou lowered her head submissively and said:

"Can we begin signing the Summoning Contract now?"

Rasa looked up at the ridiculously tall beauty and said in a calm tone:

"Of course."

Upon hearing this, Ziyou immediately opened her cherry-red mouth wide.

Her mouth, which usually looked small and delicate, was stretched to an exaggerated, grotesque degree.

Her jaw unhinged, opening to a wide, dark abyss that reached a hundred and twenty degrees.

Combined with her ethereal beauty and traditional clothing, the sight was nothing short of a freakish, depraved display.

Rasa watched as Ziyou, without changing her expression, maintained that gaping maw.

She then shoved her slender, jade-like hand deep into her own throat, rummaging around as if searching for something lodged deep in her gullet.

Finally, she pulled out a purple scroll coated in a thick layer of suspicious, shimmering fluids.

Seeing this, Rasa's lip finally twitched as he lost control of his composure.

This was far too depraved.

Had he known it would be like this, he would have made her produce the contract while she was still a jellyfish.

Ziyou saw Rasa's expression and finally realized how bizarre and unseemly her actions looked in human form.

Her eyes flickered with embarrassment, and she said awkwardly:

"This is the first time I have signed a contract with a human. Though the method of retrieval was... unrefined."

"But please rest assured, the Summoning Contract is usually stored in another dimension."

After her explanation, Ziyou's face turned a shade of red, and she carefully unfurled the scroll.

Rasa shifted his attention to the contents of the scroll.

After spending a minute reading it through, Rasa shook his head and said flatly:

"This contract is too balanced. I want to make some modifications. Any problem with that?"

Ziyou nodded hurriedly, her ethereal voice full of submission:

"Of course not. You mentioned this before, and I have absolutely no objection."

Rasa pondered for a moment and slowly raised one finger:

"First: your life must be shared with mine."

Hearing this first condition, Ziyou's pupils shrank violently, and her thin purple eyebrows shot up.

She had to share her life with this human?

Didn't that mean she had to share her lifespan with him?

Wouldn't all her previous schemes and calculations go up in smoke?

Moreover, this term was far too tyrannical.

In all her long years of life, she had never heard of a summoning beast signing such a 'Life-Sharing' contract with a human!

Seeing Ziyou's expression change, Rasa raised an eyebrow, his tone remaining cold:

"What? You're not willing?"

After saying this, Rasa saw the woman remained silent, so he said thoughtfully:

"The experimental subjects I saw in the underground base... their experiences were truly miserable."

"Perhaps the culprit responsible for their suffering should get a taste of the tortures they endured."

"Wait! I am willing!"

"I am willing to share my life with you! I will share my entire lifespan with you!"

"I must say one more thing! I knew about those experiments, but I didn't order them! I was only a silent observer!"

Ziyou, who had been hesitating, shuddered violently at Rasa's threat.

Although she hadn't explicitly ordered the torture of those subjects, the fact that she had sat back and watched the entire process was an undeniable truth.

Ziyou did not want to experience that kind of pain.

Even though she had high-speed regeneration, the pain itself was very real and would not be lessened by her ability to heal.

Rasa watched with satisfaction as the woman began to rewrite the contract.

Though he was still young, who would ever complain about having too much life?

Especially since this jellyfish clearly had an incredibly long lifespan.

As he watched her write, he asked:

"Exactly how long is your lifespan?"

Ziyou, carefully rewriting the Summoning Contract, answered without even thinking:

"The lifespan of the sapient Jellyfish Tribe is usually 3,000 years. As one of the strongest of my kind, living to 5,000 is effortless."

Rasa looked at the woman in surprise and marveled:

"Your lifespan is much longer than I imagined."

Although the original story never specified how long the Sages of the Three Great Sage Lands could live.

In Rasa's opinion, based on circumstantial evidence in the plot, it was unlikely that they could live past 5,000, or even 3,000 years.

Ziyou shook her head gently and said in a soft voice:

"While we live longer than humans, the speed at which we gain strength is ten times slower than yours."

Rasa nodded in agreement. Perhaps this was the Creator's way of balancing things.

Giving non-human species a lifespan a hundred times longer than humans, but making their growth incredibly sluggish.

"My second condition: you must obey me unconditionally."

"Whenever I summon you, you must respond instantly. No delays allowed."

"Once you arrive, you must fight exactly as I command. No slacking off or playing tricks."

Ziyou could only nod helplessly again. She had already agreed to that outrageous first demand.

There was no point in refusing the second.

But this meant that unless some super-powerful being could instantly kill the man before her.

She would be his beast of burden, his slave, until the very end of her life...

"I understand..."

Half an hour later.

Shuang Uchiha stood silently on the roof of a four-story building, her gaze full of worry as she stared into the distance.

It had been a full half hour since Rasa went to pursue the Evil God.

Yet Rasa had still not returned.

Even though Shuang knew Rasa's strength—especially with the Perfect Susanoo—made failure nearly impossible, a trace of worry still inevitably surged in her heart.

Just then, Shuang looked down at her bosom. A flash of joy crossed her face.

She hurriedly pulled out a snow-white dagger that was emitting a brilliant white light and began to channel Chakra into it.

Just a few seconds later, a vortex-shaped ripple appeared before her, and a man walked slowly out of it.

"Rasa, you're finally back..."

Shuang's joyful words were cut short.

She was silenced by the sight of the woman following behind Rasa.

She stared at the excessively tall woman with purple hair, eyebrows, and kimono. The stranger exuded a mysterious, ethereal aura, and her skin was so white it was almost transparent.

Shuang's eyes flickered constantly. Finally, a possibility struck her, and she stammered:

"Rasa... she... she couldn't be the..."

"Yes, she is the giant purple jellyfish. Her name is Ziyou."

Rasa cut through Shuang's hesitation and finished her sentence for her, adding:

"From now on, she is officially my Summoning Beast."

"The Jashin Cult committed many atrocities, but the cultists responsible are already dead."

"As for Ziyou, she will spend the rest of her life serving as our beast of burden. Consider it a form of atonement."

Rasa knew this sounded somewhat unfair.

But in this dog-eat-dog Ninja World, this was actually a fairly decent outcome.

Without his intervention, Ziyou would likely have remained at large for decades.

She might have remained hidden in the shadows even until Boruto's old age.

The Jashin Cult would have persisted, producing a never-ending stream of new victims.

Now, he had ended the cult decades earlier and tamed the culprit.

It wasn't a perfect ending, but it was acceptable.

Shuang Uchiha, a native of the Ninja World who grew up in the fires of war, understood this perfectly.

Without Rasa, the tragedy of those test subjects would have continued, and their numbers would have only grown.

She let out a soft sigh and nodded in agreement.

Seeing that the two had reached an understanding, Ziyou stepped forward and began to offer a sincere apology with an extremely humble attitude.
