Chapter 93 - Chapter 11: The Outcome of the First Adventure

The first day of the Dungeon adventure actually didn't have much time left by the time they reached the planned tenth floor. Because everyone had intentionally let Bell fight and train along the way, giving him all the monsters on the first five floors, they had little time left by the time they reached the tenth floor. Moreover, they had an agreement with Hestia to have a big meal tonight, and they still had a good amount of money left from yesterday.

If too many monsters came at once, Bronya would step in.

After all, among those present, Bronya was actually the weakest.

Of course, that's without using firearms or Project Bunny 19C. However, their purpose for coming to the Dungeon was different from other adventurers; it wasn't for money but to improve themselves, so they naturally self-imposed restrictions.

Kiana had natural superhuman strength and a half-baked Kaslana Gun Kata. Mei was a master of the Hokushin Ittō-ryū. Although she hadn't shown it, her combat ability, in terms of skill alone, was the second highest among those present.

If forced to rank by skill from lowest to highest, it would be Bell, Takatsuki, Bronya, Kiana, Raiden Mei, and finally Fu Hua.

However, Takatsuki didn't rely on those combat skills for his livelihood.

"I always saw Bronya fighting with Project Bunny 19C before. I didn't expect you to be so skilled with short swords?"

On the way back, Kiana said, "I thought you only knew how to use cannons."

"Bronya knows more things than Kiana does."

"Everyone! I'm sorry, because of me, everyone didn't get much today!"

Bell, who had been following behind the group, suddenly thought of something and shouted loudly, causing those ahead to stop.

"Bell, you don't need to blame yourself. There's a saying, 'Sharpening the axe doesn't delay chopping wood.' Moving with us is also to help you become independent faster. If you feel guilty, then work harder. Your growth is the best reward for us."

Takatsuki hadn't expected Bell to be such a self-deprecating person. Because of training him today, the group's earnings probably didn't exceed ten thousand Valis, which was incomparable to yesterday.

"Yeah, Bell! Don't worry, I doesn't care about this stinking money. You just get stronger quickly so we can go to deeper levels of the labyrinth. The tenth floor isn't enough for us to fight on!"

Although Kiana didn't mean any harm, her way of speaking made it sound like they only reached the tenth floor because of Bell.

"Idiot Kiana."

Whether Bell heard it or not, Bronya clearly did, and after a sarcastic remark, she ignored Kiana's complaint about why she was scolded again and turned to Bell, saying, "You and Bronya use the same weapon. Bronya will give you special training when we get back. Be prepared."

"Mm, if Bronya teaches short sword, then I'll teach you footwork and how to use that greatsword of yours, Bell. You are naturally intelligent, but you must guard against arrogance and impatience, and never be eager for quick success, or you risk being too hasty to achieve your goals."

"Yes!"

However, Bell only understood the first few sentences: "Um, what do those last few sentences mean?"

Mei spoke up: "It means you need to be patient and not rush. We will all wait for you."

"Thank you, everyone!"

That's the good thing about a pure-hearted young man; troubles disappear quickly. After Bell's mood improved, the group continued their return to the surface.

Monsters encountered along the way were dealt with by Mei and Takatsuki. Takatsuki didn't always use blast, but instead took out the Snowblade Dance from before and killed monsters alongside Mei.

However, after Takatsuki stopped using those external powers, his combat ability was nowhere near Mei's, and Mei saved him several times. Although even if those monsters' attacks hit Takatsuki, nothing would happen, he still had to express his gratitude.

"Thank you, Mei."

Facing Takatsuki's thanks, Mei shyly sheathed her famous sword Moonveil: "Takatsuki, you're not very good with a sword, are you? Do you want me to teach you?"

"Can you? It would be great if Mei could teach me."

"Mm, then I…"

Blast!

Suddenly, a loud bang came from behind. The two turned in surprise, seeing Kiana's fist, wearing Gilgamesh, punch the wall. A black-clad rookie killer had just poked its head out when Kiana's punch exploded its head, turning it into a magic stone that fell to the ground.

"Ah, so that's how monsters are born!"

Haven't you seen it before?… Listening to Kiana's loud and deliberate words, Bronya and Fu Hua were speechless.

"Ahem, since the monsters are cleared, let's head back quickly."

The two, their atmosphere broken, said nothing more and quickly returned to the surface.

As soon as they returned to the surface, they saw Hestia standing with her hands on her hips at the guild's entrance.

"Everyone! You're back!"

Upon seeing Takatsuki and the others, Hestia first "majestically" scrutinized everyone: "Hmm! Very good, you all seem unharmed."

"Uh, god, why did you come to the guild? Didn't you say you'd wait for us at home?"

Hestia crossed her arms: "Hmph, this goddess calculated that you would be leaving the Dungeon at this time, so I waited for you here!"

Because her family was wealthy, Hestia didn't need to go out and work, so she had a lot of free time.

"As expected of god! So amazing!"

No need to guess, these were the words of the sweet and naive Bell.

Just then, Eina, holding documents, hurried through the guild. She saw the people at the entrance and walked over with a pleasant surprise.

"Bell, you're back! God has been standing at the entrance for several hours. No matter how much I tried to persuade her, she wouldn't leave; she insisted on waiting for you…"

"Miss Receptionist!"

Hestia instantly broke character, rushing over and covering Eina's mouth.

"Alright, alright, god, let's exchange the magic stones and materials, and then go eat. Eina, would you like to join us?"

Takatsuki walked over with a cloth bag at this point. The few of them had gathered all the materials they had collected today. Since their Familia only consisted of them, there was no need to divide things too strictly.

"Eh, me…?"

Eina looked at Bell, seemingly tempted, but then looked at the documents in her hand. Just as she was about to refuse, a pink-haired girl suddenly ran over.

"Eina, you go ahead. Just leave this to me~"

Saying that, before Eina could react, she snatched the documents from her hand and pushed her forward: "Have a good time."
