Darkness swallows me whole—so thick it might as well be the blindness I knew once. Fabric wraps tight around my eyes; they've blindfolded me. My hands won't move-bound fast, something heavy pulling at my wrists.

Where am I? I blacked out after Hera pressed a cloth over my face-sickly sweet, cloying-and now I have no clue where they've brought me. Fear claws cold and sharp at my chest, relentless as a tide.

This isn't normal. I knew that the moment Hera reappeared, with her threats and now... this. Abduction is the only word for it-drugged, carried to some place I can't recognize.

"Please, Lord-let my boys be safe. Let Lucian or the others have found them by now," I whisper, staring into the void before me.
