Chapter 85 - Chapter 86 Reconciliation (3)

Meanwhile, Cady, who decided to apologize to Janis, skipped today's activity.

Knowing where to find her, Cady went straight to sissy Damian's basement.

The small basement door opened, and Janis, seeing who it was, was first pleasantly surprised. Then, she deliberately put on a stern face and asked, "Why are you here? Not going to accompany your Queen Bee anymore?"

"I'm here to apologize, Janis. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have treated you that way last time," Cady said sincerely. "We're friends, aren't we?"

As a friend, Janis had actually stopped being angry with Cady a long time ago; she just needed an excuse to reconcile with her.

Cady taking the initiative to come and apologize was a good opportunity.

"Janis, who is it?" Damian's voice came from the basement.

"It's Cady. She came to apologize to us," Janis responded.

Hearing that Cady had arrived, Damian came to the door and enthusiastically invited, "Oh, Cady, come in and sit down. Tell us about The Plastics. What do they do on weekends?"

Damian was very curious about girls' lives.

Seeing that her two friends were treating her well, Cady relaxed. Then, she couldn't help but complain, "You absolutely won't believe how boring The Plastics' weekend activities are. Regina actually made us dance her mom's leg dance for two weekends in a row..."

Yes, to make her daughter stand out, and to satisfy her own unique hobby, Regina's mom, June, choreographed several new dances for the cheerleading squad.

Besides the leg dance, there were also hip-shaking dances, waist-twisting dances, and butt-swaying dances.

Those bold and highly provocative dances truly opened Cady's eyes.

And being conservative by nature, she was very resistant to these dances.

"Is it the leg dance that attracts boys? That's amazing!" Damian exclaimed.

But then, facing Janis's unfriendly gaze, Damian put away his curious expression, cleared his throat, and put on a disdainful look: "Is that all The Plastics does on weekends? How boring."

Actually, Damian's true thought was that spending his weekend in the dimly lit basement with Janis was far more boring and pathetic than The Plastics' weekend dancing activities.

And when Cady heard Damian's words, she seemed to find common ground. She continued to complain, "Exactly, besides dancing, there's only singing, tasting drinks, and makeup. It's such a waste of time..."

In Cady's mind, instead of wasting time on these things, it would be better to go home and study.

Cady, who had been homeschooled since childhood, was actually a top student. Otherwise, Ms. Sharon wouldn't have invited her to join the Math Olympiad team multiple times.

On Janis's side, seeing Damian's eyes light up more and more as he listened to The Plastics' activities, there was a subtle trend of him being led astray.

So, Janis quickly interrupted Cady and said, "Alright Cady, stop talking."

Then, she continued, "Tell me about yourself. What's your purpose in coming to us this time?"

"I want to reconcile with you guys," Cady directly stated her intention.

"And then?" Janis asked again, stopping Damian, who was about to interrupt, with her eyes.

"Hmm~" This time, Cady thought for a moment before saying, "To team up against Regina, wasn't that our original intention?"

"Very good, you passed the test." Janis stepped forward and hugged Cady, signifying that she had re-accepted her.

Given Janis's hatred for Regina, as long as you were at odds with Regina, you could become her friend.

Next, Cady talked about her recent achievements; because she had been continuously providing Regina with energy drinks, she had successfully made her gain several more pounds.

Moreover, Cady also stated that she would later go and sow discord between Gretchen and Karen, attempting to isolate Regina and thus disintegrate The Plastics from within.

"You're doing well, I'll continue to support you." Janis first affirmed Cady's actions, and then, she mysteriously said, "I found another good thing, perfect to use on Regina. It will make her lose her good figure even faster."

Saying that, Janis pulled out a box of high-calorie energy bars from a nearby cabinet.

Her practiced manner suggested it had been premeditated for a long time.

Just as the two girls were happily plotting ways to deal with Regina, the sissy spoke up to remind them, "Isn't what you're doing too cruel to Regina?"

The reason Regina could sit in the "Queen Bee" position was because of her incredibly good figure. It was conceivable that without her good figure, she would be very miserable.

This point made sissy Damian feel some empathy.

"Hmm?"

Janis and Cady simultaneously turned their heads, staring at Damian "fiercely."

"Alright, I get it." Damian couldn't withstand the scrutiny of the two women and could only sadly go to the corner and squat.

...

On the other side, Aaron also drove his second-hand pickup truck to the school playground.

Looking at the empty campus, he faced the morning sun and began his training.

...

And on the way to Houston, ever since Mike finished explaining the theory of "Schrödinger's Cat," the car had fallen silent.

Finally, it was Georgie who first broke the silence, he laughed awkwardly twice and said, "So that's what it is, I thought it was a story about a cat."

In fact, Georgie didn't understand Mike's explanation at all; he just spoke up to ease the atmosphere and avoid awkwardness.

George, who was driving, also nodded with a bewildered expression: "Hmm, I understand too. A cat, very simple..."

Well, George didn't actually understand either, but to avoid awkwardness, he also casually agreed.

To be honest, neither of them was particularly interested in scientific knowledge. They didn't care about cats or dogs at all.

On the other side, Sheldon, sitting in the back, tilted his head and stared at Mike for a long time, as if trying to see something extraordinary on his face.

Finally, he had to admit: "Mike, your explanation is very comprehensive. However, do you know the 'Tortoise Paradox'?"

Clearly, Sheldon had not given up on the idea of defeating Mike.

The Tortoise Paradox: refers to a fast runner chasing a slowly moving tortoise ahead.

From a scientific perspective, by infinitely dividing time and distance, it can be concluded that humans can never catch up to the tortoise.

Of course, from a practical standpoint, a finite distance cannot be infinitely divided to create "more" distance. Therefore, this paradox is not valid.

With the sole exception of Satoru Gojo, of course.

Sheldon wanted to use this difficult problem to stump Mike.

However, Mike, having been exposed to the information explosion, actually knew a little bit about all these strange facts.

So, he said, "Let me state first, the Tortoise Paradox is not valid..."

After stating his conclusion, Mike also realized that Sheldon was trying to compete with him. So, he asked, "Sheldon, do you know about the Mobius strip?"

"Hmm?" Sheldon was first stunned, and then said proudly, "Of course I know. But I want to hear your answer first."

Obviously, for a nine-year-old Sheldon, his knowledge base was not yet broad enough.

Mike didn't expose him but casually explained the Mobius strip, just to pass the time.

In the front, George and his son were completely confused. George finally couldn't take it anymore and said, "Alright, let them talk about their science, let's talk about some fun places in Houston."

Georgie nodded in agreement upon hearing this. To be honest, he was almost falling asleep listening to the conversation in the back.
