Chapter 29 - Chapter 29 Plastic Sisters

Sheldon was delayed a bit at breakfast, so when Mike and the other two arrived at the classroom, they just missed the class bell.

Ms. Ingram (the math teacher) bypassed Georgie and looked at Mike and Sheldon, the two good students standing at the door, with interest, teasing, "Can you tell me why you two are late today?"

In Ms. Ingram's opinion, top students like Mike and Sheldon usually wouldn't be late.

Especially Sheldon, with his personality, he shouldn't miss any academic class.

Perhaps Ms. Ingram's gentle attitude triggered the grievance in Sheldon's heart; he recalled his near-death experience from the morning and explained, "Ms. Ingram, I almost choked to death on a sausage this morning, which is why I missed class."

Although Sheldon spoke very sincerely.

However, Ms. Ingram simply couldn't imagine someone choking on a delicious sausage, let alone almost choking to death.

Subconsciously, she thought he was lying.

So, Ms. Ingram also absurdly asked, "Sheldon, can you tell me how big the sausage was?"

"It was this big—" Sheldon gestured a five-centimeter length with his index finger and thumb, which to him was already terrifying: "It was stuck in my throat, and I couldn't breathe at all..."

Seeing Sheldon seriously recounting such a bizarre story, Ms. Ingram, who had already determined he was lying, couldn't help but be amused.

In the classroom, many of the fifteen- and sixteen-year-old classmates, due to Sheldon's personality, didn't like him.

At this moment, seeing Sheldon's "comical" performance, they finally seized the opportunity and burst into laughter.

The lively scene seemed as if it would overturn the classroom.

Even with Sheldon's low emotional intelligence, he now felt the "malice" from the teacher and students.

He closed his mouth in frustration, unconsciously taking a small step closer to Mike and Georgie.

"Alright, everyone, stop laughing."

Ms. Ingram saw Sheldon's embarrassment and chose to let him off.

Then, the teacher looked at Mike and asked, "What about you, Mike?

Why are you late?"

At first, the teacher wanted to remain composed.

However, perhaps Sheldon's reason for being late was too funny; Ms. Ingram maintained a serious face for only two seconds before letting out another chuckle.

Then, considering herself humorous, she said, "Mike, your reason for being late isn't because of a sausage, is it?"

Due to Ingram's joke, the classmates below burst into laughter again.

Mike casually glanced around and found that most of the loudest laughter came from the boys.

'It's probably out of jealousy.'

Mike shook his head, ignored them, and then earnestly replied to Ms. Ingram, "Georgie and I were indeed late because it took some time to help Sheldon remove the stuck sausage."

Hearing Mike's equally outrageous answer, the laughter in the classroom grew even louder.

And Ingram, the plump math teacher, was also leaning against the podium, laughing.

"Is it that funny?!"

Mike looked at the students below, his expression gradually turning stern.

He hadn't spoken to many people in the class; they weren't that familiar, and the repeated jeering was a bit excessive.

This was also the first time the classmates had seen Mike angry; remembering how he had risen in the school in just two weeks, many students immediately knew better and stopped laughing.

It had only been a few days since Sam was beaten.

Some other unobservant boys also realized their offense under the deliberate reminder of the girls in the class.

And at this time, Regina also showed her role as the captain of the Mike Fanclub.

She practically connected with all the girls in the class.

Soon, the class quieted down, and Ms. Ingram also awkwardly stopped laughing.

She looked at Mike's dignified appearance and asked in surprise, "Are you serious?"

"Of course, I have no need to lie."

Mike nodded slightly.

"Alright, I misunderstood you all."

Ms. Ingram had a decent personality and admitted her mistake.

After that, she let the three of them, Mike, return to their seats.

Also, due to the misunderstanding, Sheldon spent the entire math class in a gloomy mood, no longer actively answering questions as he used to.

And Mike, ever since he realized he couldn't continue to 'milk' Sheldon in class, also became less proactive than before.

Therefore, the entire morning's classes today felt very dull.

At noon, Mike left Georgie and sat with Regina and a few others.

The girls at the same table were all core members of the Mike Fanclub.

Because of what happened in class that morning, Mike expressed his gratitude to them.

On the other side, in the twelfth grade dining area.

Janis looked at Cady, who had changed her outfit, across from her and gossiped, "How is it, Cady, did you get Mike?"

Today, Cady wore a red T-shirt, and her blonde hair was tied in a single ponytail, making her look much more confident and capable.

Hearing her friend's question, she shook her head in frustration: "No, I feel like I missed some opportunities."

Thinking of Mike's passionate gaze that day, Cady confirmed that he had feelings for her.

She believed that their relationship only needed a suitable opportunity to progress further.

"Then you need to work harder; boys are visual animals, and they are easily attracted by other seductive hussies."

Janis seemed like a relationship expert; she wasn't as optimistic as Cady.

Damian, who was sitting with them, agreed with Janis's insight.

He gestured to Cady: "Look over there, isn't that Mike?"

Not far away, in the eleventh grade dining area, Mike was laughing and chatting with several girls at his table.

Seeing Cady's thoughts, Janis encouraged her, "Go find him; we support you."

Cady picked up her tray, nodded to her two friends, and was about to go find Mike.

She clearly felt that he was interested in her.

How was it that after only one day apart, he was already involved with girls from his own class?

In matters of love, anyone can become narrow-minded, and Cady was no exception.

"Cady, be careful of Regina; I heard people say she's already targeting you because of Mike."

Damian whispered a reminder to Cady's retreating back.

But at this moment, Cady's eyes were only on Mike, and she didn't know if she had heard her friend's warning.

Once she had walked a bit further, Janis continued, "I have a feeling Cady can't possibly win against them."

Damian shook his head: "You still don't understand men.

Cady is so beautiful; she definitely has a chance, it just depends on whether she can seize it."

...

In the most prominent spot in the center of the cafeteria, three girls were also discussing Mike.

Regina: "How are your investigations going for the things I asked you to check?"

Karen: "I've found out that the person who went on a date with Mike that day was Cady from our class.

But I heard their date wasn't successful."

Gretchen:...

"Is that so? That's good news."

Regina glanced at Mike laughing and chatting with several girls from the eleventh grade and said resentfully, "How can those little bitches compare to me?

And that presumptuous country girl..."

As Regina was speaking, she felt Karen tugging at her clothes.

She looked up impatiently and happened to see the "country girl" she had just spoken of passing by.

She immediately put on a brilliant smile and said softly, "Hi, baby.

Can we talk?"

The Queen Bee's charm was already astonishing, and with this intentional act, let alone men, even women couldn't resist her allure.

Cady heard the voice, looked blankly around and behind her, then pointed to herself and asked, "Are you calling me?"

"Of course, Cady.

Please come and sit down—"

Regina's soft voice had an irresistible charm.

"I've noticed you for a long time, Cady.

You are so excellent..."

After feigned compliments, Regina revealed her fangs, and with a sincere expression, invited, "Cady, would you like to join The Plastics?"

Cady had been warned by Damian and knew that Regina also had feelings for Mike.

Seeing her radiating charm at this moment, she thought for a moment and decided to infiltrate the enemy's ranks.

Know yourself and your enemy, and you will win a hundred battles.

As for those little girls in the eleventh grade, in terms of figure, they were still a bit too young.

So, Cady feigned an excited look and exclaimed, "Really?

I'm so honored!"

Then, the two girls enthusiastically embraced to celebrate this new friendship.

As their cheeks brushed, the warm expressions on their faces simultaneously cooled.

But when they faced each other again, their faces were once more adorned with brilliant smiles.

The speed of this facial transformation was truly masterful.
