Mike's POV
My life feels as if it's on halt. I want to move forward, but something feels as if it's pulling me back.
Even though I have tried to ignore it, I can't help myself from thinking too much.
I sent people to look for Valerie, but no matter how they searched, they found nothing.
Even her phone number was unavailable. I tried having people hack into her government registered file but still got nothing.
It is as if she disappeared off the face of the earth.
I am starting to fear for the worst. However, my mother's words put me a bit at ease.
She had said when she saw that I was so distraught,
"Don't worry. Since you are okay, she is fine. She probably doesn't want to be found for now. Give her time to forget her pain, then she will come back on her own."
Knowing that she was safe wherever she was put me at ease for a while.
But with the red full moon approaching, and the council pushing me to mark my Luna, my mind was on the verge of collapse.
