"Why are you here?" I asked, finally turning to face them.
I just wanted to know why they came and then send them on their way. My reaction towards Caelan was abnormal and I don't know why.
So, I had to stay away from him to think straight.
"We came to see you. We had a situation yesterday and wanted to see if you were safe." Shadow replied immediately.
"What situation? Why would I be unsafe?" I honestly couldn't understand what they meant.
"Well, you see, last night was the…" Shadow started to explain, however, he was cut off by Caelan.
"Casper. Could you get me a glass of water from the kitchen?" I noticed that the way the two of them treated each other seemed to fluctuate.
Sometimes they were like old friends, yet other times they treated each other like a boss and subordinate.
It was really confusing.
Like at that moment, when Caelan asked Casper to get him water. The authority in his words was that of a superior to his subordinates.
