"Luna, is there anything you need?" Janice asked as if she was fawning.
"No, you guys can leave. I need to rest." I didn't want chaos at this moment. I needed quiet, to enable me to think about the future.
A future that had been uncertain until a few days ago.
I took a shower and changed into comfortable clothes.
Even though Lady Bernice had tried, most of the clothes in the closet were too big for me.
She had probably gone to order clothes that would fit a seventeen or eighteen years old teenager, but due to malnutrition, my body was similar to that of a fifteen years old girl.
In fact, some fifteen year olds had better and fuller figures than I do.
So, almost all the clothes were too big for me, but I didn't care about that. At least I had new and clean clothes and not those patched up, washed out clothes I usually wore.
I had just sat down on the bed ready to take a nap when I heard the door opposite mine open.
