CHAPTER 10
" oh how has the mighty fallen "
' that voice ' Ash felt his body turning cold , his mind racing to different directions trying to find an answer to a question he wasn't sure he was ever going to find an answer to ' how is he here ' it was someone who he really wanted to forget about as a whole and move on with but somehow he was here.
He tried looking around but his body was frozen in place , he couldn't even feel his own body to begin with and worst still he was stuck in an awkward position with both hands and legs in front of him while being in a position looking like he was being flung back .
Apparently Ken had closed the distance between both of them and attacked sending him flying back while he remained in his punching position , " you look horrible .... I can't believe that this is you ….. you look like shit " the voice said again this time filled with disdain , this time Ash could feel him around his presence around him and his soft footstep echoing around the hall as he approached from behind him soon revealing himself standing in front of Ash who felt his heart drop .
A young man who looked like one in his late twenties but filled with grey hair , the skin was like that of ivory with a much darker tone to it and also had a pair of deep green eyes , Ash knew who the person was and was more surprised to see himself or who he used to be in the past ' Alex Arden ' a name he never wanted to remember.
"oh I forgot you can't talk " he said feigning surprise before snapping his finger , and almost immediately Ash fell to the floor and the pain resumed and he was hurting all over and was barely able to move, Alex gave him a scornful look as if he was looking at an existence that seemed to be a bug to him " look at your sorry state ….. I don't know what you are thinking but you are not thinking like us " he said getting to his level this time wearing a smile that sent shiver down his spine .
He wasn't normally supposed to be scared of his own self but he knew what he did as Alex Arden and it wasn't things he wanted to be proud of " I... I ….. wanted a change "Ash said trying very much to move his body but it was all to no avail , the pain was excruciating and he could only grit his teeth and endure .
" change ? now that's not a word you get to hear everyday" Alex stopped for a second looking at Ash before pinching the bridge of his nose to say something as if he was tired of scolding a child
" no matter where you go or what you do or who you are born in, terror and destruction always follows you , you keep forgetting that ….. I'm literally not surprised you got a jail , if you remember correctly we woke up in a graveyard two times before this one " Alex said in a cold tone not matching his words obviously not happy with anything that was going on and Ash felt chills just remembering what had happened .
"It will be different this time " Ash said still refusing to back down making Alex to groan loudly like he was so close to crAshing out on a little kid " says the kid in jail …ugh…. what happened the last time we tried that ... you ended up skewered, like be serious for once and stop thinking like a child think like the monster we once knew .... You were molded with pain so I want you to show that bastard what kind of a monster that you are and no one I mean no one is above you so wake up us son of a bitch " Alex lAshed out on Alex who was severely confused .
" what do you mean by we've tried this before ? " Ash had no recollection what's so ever about what Alex was talking about and looking at him now he could now see that he was wearing a frown which disappeared after almost as it entered " yeah that always happens " he clearly heard those words being muttered out of his mouth and before he could ask the question that was now bothering which was when Alex interrupted .
" don't ask because I'm not going to answer ..... just focus on pile of unimportant problem ... I don't want to see you blind next time we meet its somewhat irritating, I have to go before they find me here " Alex said placing a finger in front of Ash was now more confused hearing 'they ' making him question who were the people who were after him but before he could ask he felt a pain in his forehead as Alex flick him in the head after which he suddenly had the sensation of inertia .
As if he was being pulled before suddenly crashing into something and the same wave of pain bombarded his consciousness him causing him to groan , looking around with his blurry eyes he noticed that Alex was gone and everything was back to normal leaving him angry .
He was incensed with what he had heard from him and he had questions which needed answers like : who were they ? , who was after Alex ? , who was after him ? , what did he mean by they had tried this methods before only for him to be skewered ? , who skewered him ?.
A thousand plus questions ran through his head but he had no answer and the person who seemed to have it had mysteriously disappeared into thin air after putting him in a confused state and worse still Alex wasn't acting himself , he knew him and a few things existed that could threaten him but he couldn't even remember those , hell he couldn't even remember much of nothing it was as if he was missing a part of his memories making him pale .
' something is not right ' he thought trying to move his body only for the pain to force him down , ' oh right that bastard is still here ' Ash thought pushing the pain away , he was terribly angry and with the appearance and the truth he was faced with he needed something to pour that rage into and Ken unfortunately was the only one to bear the runt .
