VALORIA WILDEROSE
The next few days under Elowen's new rules are much worse than we had ever imagined since her announcements that morning. Perhaps if we had imagined the worst, the sudden switch would have been bearable enough.
Or not.
As her new rules had stated, everyone has begun working hard for every meal, every hour of sleep — so much so that there's less free time to enjoy the things we're supposedly working for.
Our days are now spent in fields, toiling the earth under the hot sun, or doing heaps of laundry no one knows where they come from. Menial tasks that were once operated with machines that have now been banned from usage, designated to us.
The worst parts are the competitions.
If one doesn't do the required amount of work for the day, they don't eat or sleep in the comfy bed they're used to. Rather, they spend their night in the fields or animal sheds.
