"Do this tower have an infinite supply of bots or something?" Todoroki muttered as they were at the 138th floor, dealing with another horde of bots.
"This is taking too long." Sukuna muttered, glancing at Izuku and Melissa.
"You two, come with me. And then..." He stared at the rest of the group members, smirking at them a little.
"I leave the rest to you."
"Bastard! You're just gonna leave the hard work to all of us?! Do you wanna die or something?!" Bakugo shouted, blasting a bot to smithereens.
"We have it handled. Go, now!" Momo shouted, creating a bunch of heavy weights as Uraraka floated them all up, before dropping them onto the bots.
"I'll kill you later!" Bakugo shouted from afar, destroying a group of bots.
"I have a plan." Melissa stated as the four started running a different route. "At the wind power generation system, there's an emergency exit at the top of the tower. We can go up to the top all at once from there."
"Lead the way." Sukuna replied without hesitation. They arrive towards their intended destination after a few minutes of running.
"Melissa. Get onto Izuku's back. He'll take you up from there." Sukuna ordered. As Izuku was prepared to jump towards the exit, a horde of bots suddenly ambushed them.
"Go. I'll handle them." Sukuna calmly told Izuku who nodded, before he powered up to 15% Full Cowling and jumped with all his might.
"Y'all really are annoying huh." Sukuna muttered as he waved his wrist at them, using Dismantle. In a single second, the bots before them were all violently sliced in half.
"Now then—Huh...." Sukuna looked up, noticing that Izuku was floating while carrying Melissa on his back.
"Does he even realize he's doing that?" He asked himself, the mystery surrounding Izuku's Quirk only deepened. He shook his head, before he himself jumped up to the top of the tower in one go, landing beside Izuku and Melissa before they entered the door before them.
They were now at the 198th floor. Izuku was about to say something, before he noticed someone approaching them.
"Get back, Melissa!" Izuku shouted as he dodged the enemy's sword strike, dragging Melissa out of the way. He looked to see a villain who's hands are able to morph into swords.
Izuku watched as a pink blur passed by the villain, before the villain had thousands of cuts around his body, falling down a few seconds later.
Sukuna looked at the two, hands in his pockets.
"C'mon, we're almost there."
"R-right..."
...
"Just a heads up, Sukuna. Wolfram is moving to your position." Momo reported from the walkie talkie as the trio ran up the stairs, almost reaching the 200th floor.
"Got it. We're almost there." Sukuna replied, as they encountered two guards with machine guns.
"There they are!" The two guards started firing at the trio relentlessly.
"I got this!" Izuku shouted as he powered up to Full Cowling 15% once again. Sukuna, gently pulling Melissa to stand behind him, noticed a red wristband on the boy's right hand.
'Where'd he get that from?' He asked himself, not knowing that the person that gifted him said item was right behind him. The pair watched as Izuku dodged bullets before knocking them unconscious with just a single punch to each of them.
Without wasting more time, the three finally arrived to the top floor. But then they noticed something suspicious, and shocking to Melissa.
"Papa? And Sam? What are they doing in there?" Melissa questioned, noticing her father and his assistant, Sam, in the Vault Room, both accessing the vault through the control system.
"I've unlocked it, it's in Box 1147! Go get it!" David ordered with widened eyes. Sam, a plump middle aged man with grey hair, rushed towards a special block, retrieving a box from it.
"It's here! You did it professor!" Sam grinned at David, opening the box, revealing a sophisticated headset, coming with two gray cartridges and a blue container. Judging the look on Melissa's face, Sukuna could tell this wasn't an invention she's ever heard of before.
"Finally, it's back in my hands yet again. This device and research data are the only things I would never give to anyone." David muttered to himself, clenching his fists.
"Everything's going to plan isn't it? It looks like the villains are doing well too." Sam commented, approaching David with the box in hand.
"Thank you, but I couldn't have done it without your arrangements, Sam." David replied.
"Papa?" The two froze in horror, hearing a soft voice familiar to them. They turned around, looking at Melissa staring at them with a look of betrayal.
"Sukuna... I have a theory, I didn't believe this initially, but there's a reason how the infiltration went so smoothly for the villains, how they knew the access codes to everything, how they were able to control the drones. David Shield, I think he's working with—"
"Yeah, I know. He's right in front of me." Sukuna muttered to his walkie talkie, interrupting Momo as he, Melissa and Izuku stared down the two.
"Papa, are you the one behind all of this?" Melissa asked, stepping forward. "Explain now!" She demanded, hurt that her own father would even think about it.
"Why did you do it?! All f or some locked away device?! Explain it to me now!"
"The professor is only trying to get back what was stolen from him, miss!" Sam began, holding up the box. "This groundbreaking invention that mechanically amplifies Quirks without any side effects unlike with drugs!"
"However, the sponsors confiscated the invention and research data, the research itself was also frozen. They feared the damage that such a device could inflict upon society should it fall into the wrong hands, believing it would drastically change the structure of superhuman society." Sam continued.
"Eventually, governments from different nations put pressure on the professor. That's why the professor—"
"Hired villains to steal it?" Sukuna snorted in amusement, finding it all to be one big joke.
"Papa... Please... Tell me it's all a lie—"
"No." David interrupted, shaking his head at Melissa's pleading.
"The papa I know would never even think of it! So why?!" Melissa shouted, pure rage in her eyes.
"I did it.... for All Might." Well that was a surprise.... Not really, for Sukuna at least.
"You three might not know this, but his Quirk is disappearing. However, if he uses my device, then everything can go back to normal. It can even give him more abilities than he started with. The Number One Hero... The Symbol of Peace, can get his light back again, and save many people once more!"
"As if All Might would want something like that in the first place." Sukuna narrowed his eyes.
"Don't talk as if you know him better!" David shouted. Sukuna shook his head.
"The All Might I know would never rely on some shitty device to boost his power. You're the one that's sorely mistaken here."
"My friends, they're all risking their lives to save everyone in I-Island! Even I'm trying to save my home! Meanwhile, you... you're off pursuing some selfish goal!" Melissa shouted.
"What do you mean Melissa... The villains were supposed to be fake..." David muttered, looking at Sam who was oddly silent.
"Fake?! Does this seem fake to you?!" Melissa shouted, pointing at her messy appearance.
"The only thing that was fake was the act itself." Everyone turned to look at Wolfram walking in, grinning at them like he had won the battle. Sam immediately grabbed the box from David's hands and handed it to the villain.
"Sam.... You..." David muttered in disbelief.
"I served you for so long, but you let your research be frozen so easily." Sam started to mutter.
"It was for the greater good, Sam!" David shouted, his teeth clenched.
"The honor and renown we were supposed to have all went away! If I didn't at least get some money, then it was a waste of my time!"
"You've done well, Sam." Wolfram nodded.
" Here's your reward." Sam widened his eyes as Wolfram pointed a revolver at him. A shot fired off, echoing throughout the chamber. Wolfram widened his eyes, noticing that Sam was gone. Sukuna appeared a distance away, placing the elderly man down.
"Y-you... You saved me... Th-thank you—ACK!" Sam was suddenly slammed away by a backfist from Sukuna who looked at Wolfram, unimpressed.
"Tch. Little brat." Wolfram placed a palm on the metal floor, as a giant metal dome covered Sukuna. Then, a metal wall separated Wolfram from the rest of the teens. A second later, the metal dome and wall was sliced into pieces by Sukuna's technique, though Wolfram was already gone, taking David with him.
"Papa—"
"Melissa." Sukuna glanced at her, causing her to freeze up.
"Now's your chance to disable the security system. Izuku, go with her." Sukuna started walking away.
"Where are you going?" Melissa had to ask. Sukuna stopped, before looking back at her with a smirk.
"Saving your precious papa, of course."
...
"Oh, you came?" Wolfram turned around to look at Sukuna slowly walking towards him, the villain having already placed the tied up David in the helicopter.
"Why would you save a criminal, brat? This man has put hundreds of thousands of lives at stake, and you still want to play hero?" He snorted. "If you insist, then you'll have to fight for it!" He snarled, placing his hand on the ground, sending out multiple metal pillar towards him.
The pillars got close to Sukuna before they were all sliced cleanly by him with a nonchalant wave of his hand. Wolfram watched as the teenager easily sliced through the metal like butter as he got close to him.
"What the hell are you—" Wolfram was met with a fist, heading straight towards his face.
Sukuna was this close to knocking him down, before he was met with a large red fist. He immediately blocked it, sending him flying back, more metal pillars came crashing down onto Sukuna.
Wolfram stared, with an arrogant grin, thinking he had won the fight. But suddenly, the metal pillars crushing Sukuna weee sliced, before a green blur blitzed towards Wolfram.
Sukuna stepped out, unharmed as he watched Izuku scrap with the villain. 'Two Quirks? So this heist was the plan of the King of Quirks all along...' He thought to himself, rushing to join the fight.
With the combination of Metal Manipulation and his Muscle Augmentation quirks, Wolfram was a tough nut to deal with.
Sukuna blurred past Wolfram, before landing his feet on the helicopter. He then launched himself towards Wolfram again, his forearm out.
"Izuku!" At Sukuna's call, Izuku dashed towards Wolfram.
'One For All 30%!' Izuku's forearm was held out as they both appeared in front of Wolfram.
A loud boom occurred on the helipad as Wolfram was hit by a devastating double lariat. Blood was forced out of the villain's mouth as his eyes rolled back. Sukuna then threw him towards the helicopter while Izuku grabbed David.
Both of them watched as the helicopter exploded, a sea of flames engulfing where Wolfram was. Though Sukuna wasn't relaxed just yet. People with Muscle Augmentation Quirks don't go down easily.
And he was proven right, as Wolfram appeared from the smoldering remains of the helicopter, wearing David's Quirk Amplification Device. The bloodied villain was laughing crazily, as he used his enhanced powers to transform the tower's roof into a scrap metal hell.
In simple terms, they were surrounded with no way out. And even if they tried, the metal would just keep coming and there was no telling Izuku and David can handle it.
Sukuna stared for a moment, a hesitation in his eyes before he slowly raised his hands, with only the middle and ring fingers from both hands raised.
"HAHAHAHAHA!" A booming laugh interrupted him, as a part of the metal wall smashed into pieces.
"It's fine now! Why?" Wolfram's eyes narrowed, sweat dripping down his face, as he stood face to face with a grinning All Might.
"Because I am here."
Sukuna sighed, placing down his hands.
Looks like he didn't need to bring out that technique for now.
