The rain is heavy, without any hint of stopping, like all the clouds in the world gathered at one place for a celebration.
The thunder flashes bright with loud roars.
A car drives along the highway in this beautiful yet grim weather, surrounded by a silent jungle.
But inside the cabin, the atmosphere was even colder than the rain outside.
The couple in the car were having an argument.
"Why do you keep gambling our money away, why you never listen to me?"
"I listen to you I know I am wrong that's why I am apologizing."
"I was drunk i didn't realize what I—"
"Stop making excuses!"
"Why can't you be a good person"
"Have you ever thought about what son would think of it?"
"Have you ever thought of his future?"
"I did, I always did I just wanted a better future."
"But I took a wrong step."
"Just give me another chance I promise I will fix everything"
"I really want a better future for our son, I—"
"SHUT UP!! JUST SHUT UP!!
The woman holds her head in anger crying in frustration and exhaustion.
"I know you are angry with me."
"I know—"
"WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING TO GET THE MON—"
"JUST STOP SCREAMING ALLOW ME TO SPEAK ON MY BEHALF TOO!"
As their argument boiled over.
The thunder flashed brightly its roar louder than the deafening sound of the engine. Blue light came through the windshield and touched someone's face.
A face that was too innocent for such a wicked moment.
A boy in the back seat listened to his parents' voices, voices which were becoming sharper than needles with every passing moment.
His heart pounding against his ribs with enough force to feel the impacts on his chest.
His eyes frantically searched his parents' faces.
Cold shivers ran through his body after every loud sentence.
He sat in the back seat, cuddling his feet into his arms.
Looking desperately at his parents, hoping they would stop.
"Mom..."
"Dad..."
"Please stop."
"I am scared..."
But his voice was buried beneath the screams of the grown-ups.
His fear tangled with the cold of the cabin.
"Why can't they just stop?"
"Why they don't looking at me and see me crying?"
His breath grew heavy, as if someone had lashed a rope around his neck.
He covered his ears, hoping the noises would stop for once.
Just once.
A desperate but futile attempt to escape the pain.
He was crying, tears rolling down his cheeks, but they were not valued enough to be noticed, to be stopped, to be tended even though the argument included him.
The blue light of the thunder still brightened his face.
The rain slammed against the glass, as if begging to be let in.
As he opened his eyes again to look and plead to his parents.
He saw something.
Something whose direction was oddly pointed at them.
Something approaching quickly.
A small pair of lights.
But growing closer, quicker.
A truck approaching towards them.
His heart jumped. He screamed in absolute fear.
"Dad... look ahead!"
Dad's eyes rolled toward the certain death.
But before the man can do anything it was too late.
It crashed into them.
A heavy impact.
Then it all went dark.
