Chapter 5 - ch 5

Got it — Hayley + Stiles, cuddle to morning, explicit adult consensual. Here:

HAYLEY

Night after the head dive. Blue room lamp low.

I check on him at 2 AM because Mom-brain won't shut off. He's sitting up in bed counting into his pillow, fast and scared.

"One two three four one two three—"

"Hey," I whisper from the door. "Nightmare?"

He looks up, sweaty, grey hoodie damp. "Yeah. Cage dream. Ash and cuffs. Sorry. Loud brain."

I sit on the edge like last night. No touch until he leans into my shoulder. Platonic. Clothes on. Blanket between us mostly. Pack comfort. Nothing else in my head right then.

"Want me to stay till you sleep?" I ask. "Chair? I can do chair."

"Bed edge?" he asks small. "Just... sit? So I hear breathing? Not alone?"

I kick off shoes and sit against headboard, back to wall, legs stretched over blanket. He curls on his side, head near my hip but not on me, blanket pulled to chin. Space. Safe.

"Count with me?" he whispers.

"One two three four," we whisper together. Feet, air, lavender, soup leftover downstairs.

He falls asleep mid-count. Mouth open. Eighteen and exhausted.

I mean to leave. I really do. But my eyes close. Just for a minute.

STILES

Warm. Safe. Breathing near. Lavender and Hayley shampoo and soup.

Half-wake around 5. Dark outside. Lamp still low. I'm on my side. Hayley's asleep sitting up against headboard, head tipped back, soft snoring. My head slid in sleep to rest near her leg over blanket. Her hand rests light on my shoulder over hoodie. No skin. Just weight. Pack weight.

No dream. No cage. Just now. Blue room now.

I pull blanket up over her legs because she's cold — gentleman move, even half-asleep — and fall back under. Safe.

No loud thoughts. No game. Just... thanks.

Sleep again. Deep.

HAYLEY

Wake at first light. Grey morning through shutters.

I'm slumped sideways now, cheek on pillow I don't remember grabbing. Stiles is on his side facing me, awake? No — waking. Eyes fluttering open. Brown and clear. Morning hair everywhere. Grey hoodie stretched at neck. Blanket tangled around our legs, still between us, both fully clothed.

He's holding my hand in sleep. Not groping. Just holding. Like yesterday courtyard counting.

And my body does a stupid adult thing I pushed down for days.

Because he's not a pup right now in morning light. He's eighteen, grown, broad shoulders from running, jaw shadow, veins in forearms, chest rising slow. Single man smell — pine and sweat and clean hoodie. My wolf perks up, not maternal. Female. Single female who hasn't been touched in a long time.

Oh no. No no. He's salt. He's pack kid. He calls me Mom Hayley.

I try to slip my hand out to leave before it gets weird. His eyes open fully.

"Morning," he mumbles, voice gravel morning-deep. Adult voice. "Sorry I drooled on blanket. And... held your hand? Sorry. You can bill me."

He starts to pull back, embarrassed. Sees my face. Stops.

Because I'm staring. Adult staring. And he sees it. And his breath catches. Adult catching.

"Hayley?" he whispers. Not Mom Hayley. Just Hayley.

STILES

She's staring like I'm a man. Not salt. Not pack kid. Man.

My heart hammers. Morning blood goes south fast and I go red because she can probably smell it — wolf nose, can't help it — and I try to roll away.

"Sorry, sorry, morning thing, ignore, I'll go cold shower, toothbrush scrub—"

Her hand tightens on mine. Not pulling. Holding.

"Stiles. Stop. Look at me."

I look. She's awake now. Really awake. Hair messy from wall-sleep, eyes green-gold and clear, lips parted. No gauze. Head healed. Grown woman in Henley and leggings, curves obvious even under blanket, breathing fast.

"I'm single," she says quietly. Adult direct. "You're eighteen. Grown. Not a kid to me right now. And if we keep going with looks like that, we need to say it out loud because I'm not doing weird. No Mom stuff. Not here. Not like this. I'm Hayley. You're Stiles. Adult to adult. Equal. Only if you want. We can just cuddle and get beignets and never mention morning-breath staring again."

My mouth dry. Brain loud but not game-loud. Adult-loud. Want-loud.

I think about Hope's friendship. Freya's sister-teaching. Pack. This doesn't break pack if we're honest? She said adult to adult. Equal.

"I want," I say, voice shaking but sure. "Not because nightmare. Not because sad. Because... you're beautiful and fierce and you count with me and you make soup and you're... here. Morning you. I want Hayley. Not Mom. Hayley. I'm eighteen, I'm grown, I know what I'm asking. Do you want me? Like that? Be honest. No pity."

She exhales shaky laugh. "Yeah. I want you. Since courtyard tacos when you cried and joked with a broken neck. I told myself pack-love. It was also that. This. Adult that. Single woman that."

"Check?" I whisper, remembering Freya rules for everything now. Ask, yes, slow. "Can I... kiss you? Slow? Stop anytime?"

"Yes," she whispers. "Slow. Stop anytime. Same for you."

I lean in. She meets halfway. No pillow. Medium loud.

HAYLEY

His mouth finds mine soft and nervous at first. Morning breath and mint from last night. Gentle. Asking.

I kiss back. Adult. Open. Hand sliding from his hand to his jaw, thumb on cheekbone. He groans low — surprised at himself — and melts forward.

"Okay?" I breathe against lips.

"Yeah," he breathes. "More? Please?"

We shift. Blanket still between at first, then he lifts it away carefully, asking with eyes. I nod. Blanket to foot of bed. Both clothed. Space to move.

He kisses like he counts — focused, present, checking. Lips, corner, jaw, neck where my pulse hammers. Hands hover over Henley, not grabbing.

"Can I touch?" he whispers, forehead to mine. "Back? Over shirt first?"

God. Polite immortal asking permission while hard against my thigh through sweats. Respectful even turned on. That's so Stiles it makes me ache.

"Yes," I say. "Back. Then front if you ask. I'll tell you."

His big warm hands slide under Henley to my bare back. Calloused. Gentle. No claws. Just man hands learning curves. I arch. My hands go under his grey hoodie to his stomach — hot skin, abs jumping at touch.

"Oh," he gasps. "Cold hands. Warm me up? Please?"

I laugh low and flatten palms, warming. He shivers happy.

We kiss deeper. Tongues meet. Morning slow turning hungry. He tastes like sleep and orange juice from yesterday. I taste probably like coffee. Neither cares.

"Hayley," he pants between kisses. "You're... can I see you? Shirt off? Only if you want. You say."

I sit up slightly and pull Henley over head myself. Sports bra underneath. Breasts full, nipples tight through fabric in cool air. His eyes go wide gold for half a second — wolf happy, not game — then back to brown as he breathes.

"Beautiful," he whispers reverently, not creepy. Adult awe. "Can I... touch? Over first?"

"Over first," I agree, breathless.

He cups through bra, thumbs brushing slowly. I moan. Hips shift against his hardness. He freezes, checking.

"Good moan or stop moan?" he asks quickly.

"Good moan, keep going," I laugh, dizzy with want and fondness. "You're good at checking. Keep checking."

He beams proud even turned on. "Honor student. Magic and consent."

I tug his hoodie. "My turn to ask. Off?"

"Yes please," he says fast. Hoodie and tee gone in one pull. Chest bare — lean muscle, scars faded from immortal healing, happy trail down into sweats. Beautiful grown man body. Eighteen but built from running and fighting and healing.

I trace chest to stomach. He sucks in.

"Okay?" I ask.

"Yeah. Touch everywhere? Please? Gentle? I'm... I've done stuff before, but... not in a while. And never... like this. Sober morning. Pack bed. I want it good for you."

My chest squeezes. Sweet even here.

"We'll go slow," I promise. "Tell me what feels good. I'll tell you."

Bra off — I unclip. He stares, swallows.

"Hi," he whispers to my chest, then to me. "Hi. Gorgeous. Can I kiss?"

"Yes."

He leans down, mouth warm and careful on one nipple, hand gentle on the other. Tongue flicks. I gasp, fingers in his messy hair, not pushing, just holding.

"Like that?" he murmurs.

"Just like that. Harder? Teeth little?"

He tries, careful at first then bolder when I moan and pull hair lightly. Good student. Fast learner.

Hands wander. My leggings. His sweats. Both tenting with want. We pause, foreheads together, breathing hard.

"Protection?" he asks, responsible even dizzy. "I'm clean — immortal, heal everything, can't carry anything. And... I don't think I can... you know... get you pregnant? Tribrid weirdness? But I don't know for sure. Do you...?"

"IUD," I whisper. "Covered. And I'm hybrid, heal fast too. We're safe. You sure you want inside? No pressure to go all the way. We can just... touch."

"I want inside," he says clearly. Adult sure. "If you want me. Slow. Stop if ribs— no, your head? You're healed? I'm not hurting?"

"I'm healed. You won't hurt. You're gentle. I trust you."

Leggings off. Panties off. Sweats and boxers off. Naked morning. Cool air and hot skin. His length stands thick against stomach, flushed, leaking at tip. My center slick and aching, thighs damp.

He looks down at us both, eyes wide. "Oh wow. Okay. Real. We're really..."

"Real," I smile, spreading slightly, inviting. "Come here, Stiles."

STILES

She opens for me and my brain shorts out in the best way. No counting needed. Just here. Hayley here. Wanting me. Grown man wanted.

I settle between her thighs carefully, weight on elbows so I don't crush. Naked skin to naked skin everywhere. Her breasts pressed to my chest. Her legs around my hips loose. My hardness sliding against her heat, not inside yet, just feeling. Oh god. Wet and hot and perfect.

"Kiss while...?" I ask, lips hovering.

"Kiss while," she agrees.

We kiss deep as I notch at her entrance. Slow push. Just tip. Both gasp into mouth.

"Okay?" I pant, shaking with restraint. Immortal strength leashed tight. Gentle. Gentle.

"More," she breathes, nails light on my back. "Slow more. Fill me."

I sink inch by inch. Tight heat gripping. Her inner muscles fluttering around me. I groan long into her neck.

"Oh... Hayley... you feel..."

"Move," she whispers, hips tilting to take more. "Slow thrusts. Find what makes me moan."

I pull back slightly then press forward. Rocks us. Bed creaks. She moans. Good moan. I do it again. Rhythm finds us — slow morning rhythm, deep and even. One two thrust, breathe, three four thrust, check.

"Good?" I gasp, kissing jaw, throat, collarbone.

"So good," she pants, legs tightening. "Harder? Little harder? You won't break me. I'm hybrid. Go."

I increase pace slightly, hips rolling. Slap of skin soft. Scent of sex and sweat and lavender sheets. Her breasts bouncing lightly with each thrust. My hands slide down to grip hips, guiding, thumbs on hipbones.

"Like that?" I ask, breathless, watching her face — eyes half-closed, mouth open, cheeks flushed. Beautiful.

"There. Right there. Don't stop."

I don't stop. Steady. Deep. Hitting spot that makes her gasp high each time. Her hands claw my back lightly — healing instantly, no marks — legs locking.

"Stiles— I'm close— keep—"

"I got you," I promise, thrusts getting sloppy with my own climb. Heat coiling low in spine. Balls tight. "Come for me? Please? I want to feel."

She cries out, inner walls clenching hard around me in waves, pulling. That triggers me. White heat rushes.

"Hayley— I'm— can I? Inside?"

"Inside, yes, come inside," she gasps, holding tight.

I thrust deep once, twice, and release with a low groan into her neck, pulsing inside her warmth. Her body milks me through it, both shaking.

Slow still. Panting. Sweaty. Joined.

"Wow," I breathe eventually, laughing wetly. "Okay. Morning run has competition."

HAYLEY

He laughs into my neck while still inside me, softening slowly, and I laugh too, breathless and sore-good.

We lay tangled. Morning light stronger now through shutters. Sheets damp. Air smells like us.

He pulls out gently — both hiss at loss — and grabs tissues from nightstand I didn't know were there. Cleans me tenderly first, then himself. Gentleman even after.

"Water?" he asks, sitting up naked and unashamed now, grown body flushed and relaxed. "I owe you water. And beignets. And soup. I'm racking up debts."

"Water first," I smile, pulling sheet over chest, watching him pad naked to bathroom — great ass, immortal perk — and return with glass.

He hands it to me, then crawls back in, pulling me to his chest. Big spoon. Naked cuddle. Warm.

"Hey," he whispers into my hair. Adult soft, not kid. "Thank you. For trusting me with... adult you. Not Mom. Hayley. I know that's... shift. If it's weird after, tell me. No pressure for... whatever this is. Pack first. Always."

I turn in his arms to face him. Kiss slow and sweet. Tasting us.

"Not weird," I say honestly. "Good weird? Like... I was single and lonely and you were lonely and we're both grown and we chose. No cage. No game. Just... medium loud love?"

"Medium loud love," he repeats, beaming. "I like that. Can I put that on hoodie?"

We doze. Morning cuddle. Naked but cozy under sheet. His hand drawing lazy circles on my back. My leg over his hip. Breathing synced.

Knock soft on door an hour later. Hope.

"Mom? Stiles? Beignets? ...Why is door locked? You never lock... Oh. OH. Never mind! I'll... leave box outside! Take your time! Use protection! Bye!"

Footsteps fleeing. Stiles and I stare at each other then burst laughing, burying faces in pillows to muffle.

"She knows," he groans, red.

"She's eighteen," I grin, kissing nose. "She'll survive. We'll talk to her. Honest. Adult. Pack."

"Adult pack talk," he nods seriously, then giggles — normal giggle, not game. Happy. "After shower? Together? To save water? Environmental?"

"Together," I agree, standing and pulling him up. Naked morning. No shame. "But first—"

"Beignets outside door?" we say together.

Laughing. Grown. Chosen. Here.
