Chapter 2 - chapter 2 A second chance

As i opened my eyes in shock wondering where I was I tried to speak but no word came out I looked up and saw a beautiful woman with brown long hair holding me in her hands

she spoke kindly and gently that from now on my name will be ALEX

I was confused who is Alex all I remember was being hit by the truck as I look at my small baby hands I came to a realization I was reincarnated as a child.

I was surprised the woman in front of me was shocked by my ruckus as a musclular man ,tall 6'4 with a little bit darker skin came in with groceries as they both where shocked by my outburst .

But me on the other hand just kept on looking at the big man wondering if he was even human

The woman who is now my mom I guess, came to me and spoke worried

"Alex what is wrong"

she wondered why I was making a ruckus but my dad only smiled giving a small playful remark

" Damn kid can sure cry haha "

hm he looks at his wife

"your so worried and overprotective "

but she gave him a deadly gaze as he tried to calm her down , she knocked him playfully as they bickering .

iI smiled as even though I reincarnated atleast I have them ,my shock and suprize changed into happiness as I was a huge fan of this reincarnation tropes in anime, manga and comic as I look at her and saw that she was my now my mom she smiled at me then dropped me in the crib , II looked at the slick and fine house decorated with iron walls and having a almost sci Fi look to it i was shocked that this was now where I was living in as i was distracted a mechanical voice spoke co ordination of characters, binding of host , authentication, loading 65-71,89,92,96,99-100 as a voice rang activation of system as I looked shocked then a happy smile as reincarnators t always have a system as I saw my new parents couldn't see my system the system said many characteristics and improvement were locked away as I look at the system display my stat

As I looked at my stat I saw the information of inspection, inspection allow one to see the information of other

I looked at my dad but the system dinged he was alot stronger than me the system gave me quest to improve and evolve as did basic training to train and strengthen

My small body at 1 month I was able to crawl and 2 weeks later I was able to walk but I had to train in the night it would be weird if they saw a 1 month old baby could walk as I train my muscles more and more at 2 month old I was able to do 5 push up and was able to push my self as I was crawling I fell and injured i was strong and ignored the pain but my mom didn't stop she toke my leg thinking i must be in serious pain as to my shock a magic circle appeared in my mom's hand a green glow fell on my wound the small wound healed as well as I receive a refreshing feeling washed over me my leg was good as new as I saw that on that day I found out about magic, after that I stayed near my mom wanting her to teach me but I couldn't talk because I was still a baby, I snooped around the house and found a small library full of books the usual English, math, science, story, then i saw some about magic as I came close and took one books it was about the different energy of this new world it was ether but under it there was mana the power used for spells while ki is life essence as i read more I wonder why creatures couldn't use ether but I shrug it off as nothing as I continue to read,i found out about abyss beast creatures from other dimensions, planet and solar system as I read I found out that they have existed for a long time after gaining some information I took books on ki as I learnt how to control my ki and condensed and tried to create a magic base but I saw that normally one had to develop it naturally but I was forcing it,I kept on forcing it to commence

Everyday after that I would read trying my best to understand this new world .

One day as me and my parents who are lois my mom and bask my new dad , we where on the couch watching a report on the cyborg and the beast gene fusers to gain power , cyborg where those who replace their organic body parts for magically advanced Cyborgnetic to gain immense power and skills, while beast fusers are those who fuse their genes with abyss creatures to gain immense power and those who become either of these two must have a little bit of mana or KI above normal to be able to participate in them.

As I concentrated intensely on the tv I made up my mind to become stronger and protect my new family ,but my thoughts where cut of by my mom

"Alex you wanna be a beast fuser or a cyborg"

She playfully tap me on my head

My dad stood up all excited

"Yes , yes finally you will be a power warrior just like your father hahaha"

My mom was taken back

"Absolutly not"

I looked confused but just smiled as they argued,as they continue to bicker ,a ding at the door brought me back to my thoughts as my mom opened the door I saw a beautiful woman with a slender figure with black hair wearing jewels of all sorts adored with gold she spoke to my mom like they new each other friendly and kind

" Hello little sis "

As I watched their interaction in shock I found out that she was my mom's sister they talked and I was introduced to her husband a tall man with pink hair normal clothes holding a little girl in his hand

My mom looked at me with a look that was like come and see your cousin ,I didn't I would rather train and watch TV as I met her I knew me and her would get along, the day was pretty normal my mom and aunt talking happily while my dad well he put his hand around my uncle and took him to the backyard to talk and train and I actually felt pity for him.

The days went by I train learnt new sports, magic,ki lessons and one day I mistaken talked I know weird a 3 month old baby talking it was because I leveled up my intelligence, language and understanding My parents where shock at first but have interpreted it that I'm just a very smart baby.

3 months had passed and I would train alot more gaining points for things like

Running

Push up

Vitality

Abdominal muscle strength

And more I would sometimes experience the effects of forcing my young body but it was all worth it,on a normal day I was doing sit ups in my crib before my mom came in , I didn't have time to react

" Oh shit"

But my mom thought she was hallucinating, and I was of the hook ,a few days later as my mom bathed me,I felt a little embarrassed because I was an adult in a kids body about to be washed to be honest I was so embarrassed,my mom shouted shocked as she looked at me.

My dad came I worried if something happened,my mom escalated

"He has 6 packs and a muscular build , how am sure this isn't normal,am sure of this"

My dad looked at me then at my mom then back at me then smiled

"That means that he is a prodigy and I believe he will have a good life ahead"

But mom was having non of it

"No first he is able to talk at 3 months old and now this "

My dad supported me and mom finally accepted,I knew she was just trying her best to protect and care from me.

My mom was still suspicious about me as she thought about the they she caught me exercising and wondering if it was really just her imagination, from that day forsward I saw that she would be watching me to do something crazy but that didn't happen at the end she gave up , that's what I thought .

One day me and my mom where in the living room watching a live news report about a prodigy of the zin clan able to lift 25-30kg at 2 years old ,a truly incredible feet, even I was impressed understanding that even with all my training for the past year I was still weak ,I understood that I need to get stronger as I was lost in my thoughts my mom rubbed my head gently

2 year later I was able to carry 42kg ,my strength had improved immensely and my body had become muscular ,; I was refining it. Every time I lifted, I wasn't just moving weight I was breaking the rules of the world I was growing unnatural stronger for a kid

I sat there, staring at the screen as the news anchor praised a 2-year-old for lifting 30kg. Amateurs, I thought, feeling the dense weight of my own muscles. At two years old, I wasn't just lifting 42kg; I was refining it. Every time I lifted, I wasn't just moving weight—I was trying break the limits of the world even though this would take a lot of time,

After training my self and condensing the mana particles I finally did it a made a mana core,my soul instinctively knew, even if my System hadn't unlocked the terminology yet.

[Ding! Mana Circle Awakening in progress...]

[Warning: Host's body is currently a 'Mortal Vessel'. Mana pressure exceeding safety limits.]

I ignored the blue screen flickering in my vision. I was in the backyard, sitting cross-legged while Bask was busy in the garage tinkering with his car. I closed my eyes and reached for that "refreshing feeling" I felt when Mom healed me. But instead of the gentle green glow, I reached deeper.

I reached for

Suddenly, the "Mana" in the air didn't feel like a fuel—it felt like static. I gripped it, twisting the energy into a circle around my heart. But my 4-year-old control slipped.

BOOM.

A shockwave of black-and-violet light erupted from my chest. It wasn't a fire explosion; it was an incredible release of inner power. The air itself seemed to "glitch" for a split second. The heavy oak tree in our yard didn't catch fire—it simply vanished, leaving nothing but a smooth, circular hole in the ground where the roots used to be.

"ALEX!"

I heard my mom's voice before I even saw her. She didn't run; she appeared. One second she was in the kitchen, the next she was standing over me, her eyes wide with a terror I had never seen before. She wasn't looking at the destroyed tree. She was looking at the fading black sparks in my palms.

"Lois, what was that—" Bask came charging out of the garage, his 6'4 frame casting a shadow. He stopped dead, looking at the missing tree. "Uh... did the kid just..."

Lois didn't answer him. She grabbed my shoulders, her hands trembling. For a second, the "Lois" persona slipped, and I felt a glimpse of her true self perhaps .

The air around her became heavy—dense—like I was standing next to a mountain.

"Alex," she whispered, her voice shaking. "Where did you see that color? Who taught you to do that ?

I looked up at her, my 4-year-old tongue still a bit heavy. "I just... reached for the middle of my newly formed mana core, Mama."

Bask laughed nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. "Haha, see? A genius! Our boy is gonna be a High-Tier Gene Fuser for sure! He's already disintegrating stuff!"

But Lois didn't laugh. She looked up at the sky—past the clouds, past the atmosphere—as if she was checking if someone was watching us ,the neighbors heard the explosion but my dad played it of that he was training and mistakenly caused a commotion since my dad was well known for being a beast fuser they accepted it but warned to be careful.

[System Notification: Hidden Stat has flickered. Intelligence +10. Awareness +15.]

[Quest Updated: Survive the Gaze of the High Planes.]

I realized then that my "training" wasn't a secret anymore. My mom knew. And judging by the way she was holding me, she knew exactly what that black light was. But she didn't want to tell me ,she was hiding it like a guarded secret.

"Bask,"

my mom said, her voice turning cold and sharp like iron. "Pack the bags. We're moving to the Outer Districts. Tonight."

"Wait, what? Why?" Bask asked, confused.

"Because," she looked down at me, and for the first time, And for the first time I saw worry in her eyes

"My son just created a mana circle something impossible even for great clans ,I know how dark people get , and I won't let them turn him into a weapon."

I smiled inwardly. Too late, Mom. I'm already the weapon.

After Dad—Bask—managed to calm Mom down from her overprotective spiral with a few playful remarks and a lot of dodging, the house settled back into its usual "Sci-Fi cozy" rhythm. I lay in my crib, staring at the ceiling and trying to map out my new life. This world was a trip; iron walls, holographic interfaces, and a power system that felt like it was humming in my very marrow.

A few minutes later, a chime echoed through the house. Mom opened the door, and the air in the room seemed to shift.

In walked a woman who looked like a more "dangerous" version of my mother. She was stunning just like my mom , but with a seductive figure that commanded the room and a presence that felt heavy with hidden power.

"Hello, little sis"

she said, her voice like silk.

I blinked, my baby brain working overtime. Little sis? So this was my aunt. Behind her stepped a man who looked like he'd stepped straight out of a high-end combat manga. He was handsome, tall, and rocked vibrant pink hair that shouldn't have looked masculine, yet somehow made him look incredibly intimidating . His name was Reno

In his arms was a small girl—my new cousin.

"Alex, come here,"

Mom called out, her voice a mix of pride and "don't-you-dare-be-weird" warning.

"I want you to see your cousin."

I stayed rooted in my crib for a second, staring at them. And gupbee at my mom calling wondering if I did anything.

My aunt leaned over, and let's just say her "assets" were as impressive as her mana signature. She looked at me with a playful, predatory curiosity.

"So this is the little genius?" she mused. "He's got his father's eyes, Lois. Hopefully, he didn't inherit Bask's meathead brain."

My dad let out a booming laugh, walking over and slapping my pink-haired uncle on the back.

"Hey! My brain works just fine when it comes to punching things! Come on, brother-in-law, let's head to the backyard. I've got some new gene-fusing techniques I want to show you."

I watched as my dad practically dragged my uncle toward the back. I felt a genuine flash of pit fo my uncle being trapped in a "training session" with a 6'4 mountain of muscle like Bask was probably a death sentence for his afternoon.

As the women sat down to gossip, I turned my attention back to the TV. I didn't care much for baby talk. I wanted to see more of those Beast Fusers and Cyborgs. If I was going to be the strongest of this world, I needed to know exactly how high the ceiling went.

[System Notification: Intelligence stat has increased due to observation.]

[New Skill Unlocked: Language Comprehension improved]

Perfect, I thought, a small, "Crazy" smirk forming on my face. Keep the data coming. I've got a world to conquer.

As the adults bickered and my dad dragged uncle Reno out to the backyard for a "friendly" sparring session that sounded more like a demolition derby, I found myself face-to-face with my cousin.

Her father (my uncle) had set her down near my crib before being hauled away. She looked to be about the same age as me—maybe a few months older—but her presence was... different.

She had Silky black hair that fell in soft bangs over her forehead and Startling, crystalline blue eyes. They didn't look like normal human eyes; they looked like twin sapphires glowing with an inner light, as if she were constantly processing data at a level far beyond a toddler.

I tried to ignore her and focus on the TV report about Beast Fusing, but I felt those blue eyes drilling into the side of my head. I turned my head slowly, giving her a look that said,

'Can I help you?'

To my shock, she didn't cry or babble. She crawled over to the edge of the crib, stood up on her wobbly legs, and stared directly into my eyes. She tilted her head, her blue eyes narrowing as if she were trying to read my System stats.

I felt a slight shiver. For a second, I wondered if she had a System too, or if her Biological Rank was just naturally higher.

"A... lex..."

she whispered. It was barely audible, but it was clear.

My heart skipped.

"Wait, she can talk already too?"

Even though not as fluent as me

I gave her a "Chill and relax" smirk—the kind of look a seasoned veteran gives a talented rookie. I reached out a small hand and patted her on the head. If she was going to be a genius, she might as well be my genius ally.

She didn't pull away. Instead, she grabbed my hand with surprising strength.

[System Notification: Interaction with 'Selene Idel'...]

[Detection: High Mana Sensitivity. Biological Rank: Normal .]

[Compatibility: 93%. Relationship Established: 'Rival/friend)/Partner'.]

I realized then that while I was training my muscles to do push-ups at 2 months old, Selene was likely training her Mana Perception. She was the "Order" to my "chaos."

As my mom and aunt laughed in the kitchen, oblivious to the two "monsters" they had birthed, Selene and I shared a silent understanding. This world was going to be ours.

Even though she was extremely Smart she was still a little kid and acted like it

After whe entered primary and elementary school whe dominated it, during Even at a young age, the gap between them and their peers was vast. While others were struggling with basic mana control, these two were already displaying advanced techniques.

Selene was a theoretical genius. She often finished exams hours ahead of her peers, demonstrating a level of focus and analytical skill that left instructors baffled.

Alex excelled in the physical and practical applications. His natural strength and reflexes during training sessions were so high that he often had to hold back to keep the exercises fair for the other students.

2. A Shared Ambition:

Their bond was forged in the quiet moments between classes. They weren't just friends; they were each other's only true competition. They pushed one another to reach higher levels of mastery, often staying late at the training grounds or the library to refine their skills.

During our time at the local elementary, we weren't just students; we were a deterrent. In the lawless Outer District, our presence alone was enough to maintain order. It was a common belief: as long as the "Idel Duo" stood together, the future of our district was secure.

As we walked home through the narrow, iron-clad streets, Selene glanced at my posture. "Alex, you need to focus. Your fighting form has been strained lately. You're getting sloppy."

I let out a lazy sigh. "Got it, lil' sis."

She bristled immediately. "I am not your 'little sis.' I am your older cousin! Show some respect."

I gave her a lopsided smirk. "Hmm... sure you are."

Inwardly, I was just glad to have the distraction. I'd been skipping my drills lately because the recent Outbreak had closed down the main training halls.

Selene huffed. "Since we're on break, what exactly are you going to do?"

I didn't even hesitate. "VIDEO GAMES. TRAIN. READ. WATCH TV... and eat."

She let out a tired breath, but a small smile touched her lips. "You really are something else."

As we entered my home—one of the best in the Outer District—the smell of dinner hit us. My parents, Bask and Lois, were already in the kitchen with Reno and my aunt, Luna. They were bickering over the stove, preparing a massive feast. In that moment, with the laughter and the warmth, it felt like nothing could ever break us.

After dinner, the house was filled with the low hum of the Outer District's power grid. While Bask and Reno were in the backyard probably breaking concrete, and Lois and Luna were finishing up in the kitchen, Selene and I retreated to the living room.

I kicked back on the floor, grabbing a scuffed-up holographic controller. "Ready to lose, Selene?"

She sat down beside me, her posture perfect as always, her blue eyes reflecting the blue light of the screen. "In your dreams, Alex. My synchronization rate is 98% today."

We booted up Abyss Hunter IV. It was a popular VR-hybrid game where you had to clear floors of monsters—ironic, considering what we were training for in real life.

As the game started, our dynamic shifted. We didn't even have to speak.

I was the Vanguard, my avatar moving with a raw, aggressive speed that mirrored my real-world "Misfit" instincts. I broke the lines, drawing the aggro of the boss.

Selene was the Controller. She stayed a few paces back, her fingers moving like a blur, casting precision spells that caught every enemy I missed.

[New High Score: IDEL_DUO]

The screen flashed gold. We had cleared the "Insane" difficulty floor in record time.

"Not bad, lil' sis," I muttered, leaning back against the sofa. "Your mana-timing was actually decent.'

Selene didn't snap back this time. She stayed quiet for a second, looking at our two avatars standing side-by-side on the screen. "We're good together, Alex. If we stay like this... no Outbreak or Abyss beast will ever touch this district."

She looked at me, a genuine, soft warmth in those crystalline eyes. "Promise me. No matter how strong you get, we do it together?"

I looked at the screen, then at her. My heart did a weird, heavy thud—not the system, but me. "Yeah," I said, my voice a bit lower. "I promise."

[System Notification: Relationship 'Bond' established... 99% Sync.]

[Warning: Dark Static detected in Host's subconscious...]

The next day was deceptively peaceful. We were just relaxing in our neighborhood, the orange glow of the Outer District's artificial sun-lamps reflecting off the rusted iron buildings. I had my hands behind my head, eyes closed, enjoying the rare quiet. Selene was right behind me, leaning against a stack of shipping crates, chatting about some theory she'd read in a mana-circuit textbook.

We followed the noise to a narrow alley. Three boys, all recognizable as students from our school, were circling a figure huddled on the ground. The victim was covered in a worn-out, mud-stained cloak, shivering as stones pelted them.

The boys stopped, confused for a second before they realized who it was. They didn't run—not yet. They put on those mocking, "tough guy" smiles. One of them stepped forward, tossing a rock up and down in his palm.

"Oh, come on, Selene. We're just having some fun," he sneered.

"Fun?" Selene's voice shook with disgust. "You're hurting and bullying her!"

I stayed back, leaning against the alley wall. My mind flickered back to my past life—the alleyway, the groceries, the three guys who tricked me. A cold, familiar cynicism washed over me. I wanted to see how this played out. I wanted to see if the "Order" of this world actually worked.

"Move, Selene," the lead boy barked. He wound back his arm and launched a heavy stone directly at her face.

I didn't think. My body moved on its own.

SNAP.

I appeared in front of Selene instantly, my hand catching the stone mid-air. The impact didn't even push my palm back. I squeezed my fingers, and the rock crumbled into fine grey dust that trickled through my knuckles.

"DON'T YOU DARE touch my cousin," I said, my voice dropping an octave into something cold and authoritative.

As I spoke, the world around me began to glitch. My presence didn't just feel heavy—it felt like it was erasing the air. To the boys, my silhouette began to twist and misform, turning into a patch of pure, living darkness. It was as if a Void had opened up in the middle of the alley. My eyes narrowed into glowing dots, and for a split second, giant, spectral eyes seemed to blink out from the darkness behind me, staring down at everyone.

The temperature in the alley plummeted. The boys' faces went white; one of them literally tripped over his own feet trying to get away. They didn't even scream—they just scrambled, driven by a primal fear they couldn't name.

The three bullies were long gone, their footsteps fading into the distance of the rusted alley. The heavy, distorted pressure of my presence began to bleed away, returning the air to its normal, smoggy weight.

The figure on the ground trembled, clutching the worn-out cloak tighter around her small frame. She didn't look up. Instead, she scrambled to her feet, keeping her head low as she began to back away toward the mouth of the alley.

"T-thank you," she whispered, her voice cracking with a mix of fear and exhaustion. "But please... just leave me. I don't want to be a problem for people like you."

She turned to run, her movements frantic as if she were terrified that my "glitch" nature would turn on her next.

"Wait," I said. My voice was back to its normal, 6-year-old pitch, but the authority was still there.

She froze. As I pulled the hood back, the heavy fabric slid off her head, revealing a girl who looked to be exactly our age. She was surprisingly cute, with large, expressive eyes that were currently brimming with unshed tears. Her hair was a mess of tangled strands, and her face was smudged with soot, but there was an unmistakable aura about her—something that felt... off.

Selene stepped forward, her blue eyes softening as the "Guardian" in her took over. "We aren't going to leave you like this. Nobody in this district gets left behind when they're hurt."

I firmly gripped her cloak and pulled. The heavy fabric slid off, and for a second, both Selene and I froze.

Under the rags was a girl with short, silver hair and striking grayish-blue eyes. She was wearing a tight, high-collared shirt that—despite the dirt—showed off a "Sugoi Dekai" figure that seemed impossible for someone our age. She looked like a doll, from the inner district

But the most shocking part? Two long, pointed elven ears poked through her hair, twitching slightly as the cold air hit them.

She looked like a high-class doll from the Inner District, but her expression wasn't scared anymore. It was pure smugness.

Even with dirt on her face, she had that "Sugoi Dekai" energy that made her look way more developed than a normal six-year-old.

She looked at my hand still gripping her shoulder, then looked me dead in the eyes with a playful, teasing glint.

"Wow... a 'Dark Lord' picking up an Elf in a back alley?" she chirped, her voice a mix of Misha's soft tone and a cheeky, annoying melody. "You're pretty bold for a kid, aren't you, Senpai.

I blinked, my "Void" aura flickering in confusion. "Senpai? Am six We're literally the same age. And why were you letting those idiots throw rocks at you if you're an Elf?"

"What's your name?"

"Alex why" I replied

She brought out a notebook and pen and started to right at light speed

"Entry 1: The Master of the Abyss reveals his true nature," she muttered, her pen blurring. "His power is a glitch in reality. Truly, a terrifying master... though he's a total creep for staring at my ears."

"I WAS NOT—" I started, feeling my face heat up.

Selene stepped between us, her blue eyes narrowing. "Alex who is she and why is she calling you master and senpai "

"Ayo chill I don't even know her" Alex replied

"My name is Mina," she said, her voice dropping into that calm, Misha-like clarity. "And since you saved me with that 'scary' power, I've decided. I'm going to be the one to record your legend. Whether you like it or not, Alex-Senpai."

"Stop calling me senpai we are literally the same age Selene help me hear"

Selene just giggled "your just getting a piece of your own treatment"

The walk back from the alley was... loud. Turns out, Mina wasn't some mysterious forest spirit; she was a transfer student at our elementary school. She had just been "undercover" in that cloak to observe the "Misfit of the District."

As we reached the front door of the best house in the Outer District, Selene was still rubbing her temples.

"Alex, we can't just bring a stray Elf home for dinner," Selene hissed.

"Who are you calling a stray, Blue-eyes?" Mina chirped, her elven ears twitching smugly. She leaned into my space, her "Uzaki-energy" radiating. "Alex-Senpai already claimed me in that alleyway. It's too late to back out now!"

"I DID NOT CLAIM ANYONE—" I stated, but the door creaked open.

The smell of Bask's heavy protein stew hit us first. Then, the man himself appeared. Bask stood there, 6'4", dark-skinned, and covered in grease from the garage. He looked down at me, then at Selene, and finally... at the silver-haired, smug-looking Elf girl standing next to me.

The silence lasted exactly three seconds.

"ALEX!" Bask's voice boomed so loud the holographic windows glitched. He scooped me up with one arm like I was a sack of grain, a massive, teary-eyed grin on his face. "My boy! My genius! You didn't just bring home a friend... you brought home a High-Tier Elf?!"

"Dad, put me down—"

"LOIS! RENO! LUNA!" Bask roared toward the kitchen, ignoring my struggles. "Get out here! Our 6-year-old just beat the world record! He's already got a silver-haired follower! That's my genes! That's the Idel bloodline!"

Lois rushed out, wooden spoon in hand, her eyes widening as she saw Mina. Uncle Reno and Aunt Luna followed, their faces a mix of shock and "Is this kid for real?"

"My boy has grown hahaha "

Mina didn't even flinch. She stepped forward, gave a perfect, elegant bow, and then immediately ruined it with a smug wink at my dad.

"Nice to meet you, Papa-Bask," she said playfully. "Your son was very 'forceful' in the alleyway. He really has a terrifying presence."

Bask froze. He looked at me. He looked at Mina. Then he let out a laugh that shook the neighborhood. "FORCEFUL?! HAHA! THAT'S MY BOY!"

Gaining your first baby mama at six am so proud

I just accepted it they wouldn't listen to me anyways

"He's six, Bask! Stop encouraging him!" Lois yelled, though she was already grabbing an extra plate.

I looked at Selene. She was staring at the floor, her face turning a bright shade of red. I looked at Mina, who was already opening her notebook to record "The Dark Lord's Domestic Life."

[System Notification: New Party Member 'Mina' joined.]

[Warning: Chaos levels in the household have increased by 500%.]

I sighed, the violet glitch flickering in my eyes. The Abyss was supposed to be dark and lonely. Why did it feel like I was starting a comedy anime instead?

The Peak of Their Friendship: The Sunset Vow

The backyard was silent, but it was the silence of a vacuum. The air didn't just feel cold; it felt wrong, as if the logic of the world had been replaced by a hungry, dark static.

Alex stood in the center of a scorched radius, his hands dripping with a crimson that felt too heavy, too real. His chest was a jagged mess—a literal hole pulsed where his

heart should be yet he remained standing, his body held together by a terrifying, dark willpower

he didn't feel the pain. He couldn't. His vision was swimming in that same black-and-violet glitch, his mind drowned by a cold, predatory instinct that viewed everything—even family—as nothing more than "data to be erased."

A few feet away ,the air was thick with the scent of iron and ozone. Selene lay at his feet, her crystalline blue eyes, usually so sharp and analytical, were clouded with agonizing shock wide on her face.

Protruding from her side was a jagged, white ruin. Alex looked down at his own right hand. He was gripping it—the primordial bone he had literally reached inside her and ripped out while they where just talking ,he hadn't used any spell or knife just his hand.

shimmering with a mix of agonizing pain and a terrifying new realization. Her side was a ruin of torn flesh and shattered mana pathways. She looked at the bone in his hand—her bone—and then at the empty, void-like expression on Alex's face.

Uncle Reno was a few yards away, his vibrant pink hair matted with dust, his face a mask of horror. He had tried to intervene, but the shockwave of Alex's awakening had pinned him to the ground like a bug under a boot.she spoke her voice low weak

"A... lex..."

she wheezed,a thin trail of blood leaking from her lips. She wasn't crying. She was staring at him with a terrifying clarity, realizing that the "friend" she had pledged herself to was a monster, her Mana Sensitivity screaming at her that the person standing before her was no longer human.

Uncle Reno was pinned to the earth, the pressure of Alex's awakening aura so dense it was cracking the very soil. He watched in a paralyzed, helpless rage as his daughter was mutilated by the boy they had come to celebrate and came to love.

In the center of the chaos, Alex's mind finally began to resurface, clawing its way back through the thick, black sludge of the Demonic Nature.

He felt the hole in his chest. He felt the warmth of the blood. But most of all, he felt the horror of what that "Other" side of him had done.

Uncle Reno was free from the pressure and immediately rushed her to the hospital ,the staff told that she would get better but from that day our relationship changed

I stood in the shadows of the garage, the jagged hole in my chest still smoking. In my hand, Selene's Dao Bone glowed with a pure, white light that felt like a direct insult to the power in me it felt like it was roiling in his gut.

[System Warning: Compatibility Error! Mortal Vessel cannot support a foreign Dao Bone!]

[Warning: Risk of Total Soul Collapse!]

"Shut up,"

I hissed, my eyes flashing that cursed violet.

I didn't use a surgeon. I used my hands and pressed the white bone against the void in my chest. Instead of resisting, the Destruction energy acted like a corrosive glue, dissolving the edges of the bone and forcing it to anchor into his own spine.

The sky over the house didn't just darken; it groaned. A pillar of white and black light shot upward, invisible to mortal eyes but a literal beacon to Higher Planes.

Inside me, a war broke out. The Demonic Nature tried to devour the bone, but the Dao Bone—carrying Selene's essence of Order—refused to be consumed. They locked into a violent, spinning equilibrium.

[Ding! Hidden Evolution Triggered!]

[New Archetype: The Chaos-Order Equilibrium]

[Mana Capacity: +500%]

[Internal Logic: Rewritten. Host can now process 'Ether' through the Dao Bone.]

When the light faded, the hole in my chest was gone. In its place was a faint, glowing mark. He felt a surge of power so dense it made my 6-year-old muscles ache. I had stolen her future to fix his own .

The weeks following the "Incident" were a blur of sterile white halls and the hum of magically-augmented machines. Selene had survived, but the Outer District Hospital—usually equipped for simple cybernetic repairs, had never seen a wound like hers. It wasn't just a physical injury; it was a Void. The bone I had torn out was the anchor of her Mana pathways.

Every day, I stood in the shadow of her doorway. My chest had healed into a jagged, star-shaped scar that pulsed violet

When Selene finally woke up, i stepped into the room, a tray of her favorite fruit in his hands. I wanted to apologize,to explain the that I didn't know what was wrong with me.

But as i approached, Selene's blue eyes didn't fill with tears. They turned as cold as ice. Her breathing hitched, not in pain, but in a primal, involuntary rhythm of fear.

The System in Alex's vision flickered a violent red:

[Warning: Compatibility dropping... 81%... 64%... 40%...]

[Target 'Selene' is experiencing 'Soul-Shudder' in Host's presence.]

She didn't scream. She just looked at my hands ,the same hands that had been inside her, and pulled the covers up to her chin. She spoke

"Go away, Alex,I want to be alone for a while"

she whispered. It was the first time she had spoken in a month, and the words felt like a Destructive Spark to my heart that broke me.

Months passed. The bickering between the adults stopped or reduced alot my mom and aunt tried to get each other back since they where siblings but I could feel the crack in their relationship. Uncle Reno wouldn't even look at Bask. The "Partner" bond they had shared was replaced by a heavy, suffocating politeness.

One morning, I woke up to find the backyard empty. The movers were silent, their hovering trucks lifting the last of Reno's gear. Alex stood on the porch as Selene was carried to the car. She looked at him through the window, a long, hollow stare.

She didn't wave. She didn't smirk. She touched the spot on her side where the bone used to be, her eyes glowing with a new, terrifying resolve. She wasn't just a kid anymore; she was a survivor and she wanted revenge

As their car disappeared into the smog of the city, Alex looked down at his palms. The Demonic Nature rumbled deep in his gut, satisfied. It had successfully isolated its host.

My mom tried to comfort me

"It isn't your fault Alex "

But guilt and anger crept into me

"You're wrong, Mom,"

Alex muttered into the wind, his voice deeper than any six-year-old's should be.

"I'm not just a weapon. I'm a plague."

After I looked at myself and contemplated on the bone in my body, I shouldn't just throw it away. I should refine it and I implanted it in my body . It will become a constant reminder of my sin and a source of Selene's "Order" energy that I can use to balance my "Destruction."
