Chapter 81 - Chapter 81: When the heavens want you dead.

Le Tu, Kao Dao Ji and Uru Hong Jing flew together.

The Golden Buddha's appearance vaguely materialized in the world.

Shining like the sun itself.

Whilst Kao Dao Ji, Uru Hong Jing, and Le Tu gritted their teeth together.

From Kao Dao Ji's face.

One could see that it had been reddened, and he was sweating heavily.

Whilst his eyes shone like two suns.

Countless upon countless Sunny Thoughts were ignited one upon another, pushing his brain to the brink of collapse.

Le Tu's eyes similarly shone with yellow, but his were tainted by green.

Unlike Kao Dao Ji, he did not have such a 'broad' mind, to be able to endure the process.

But he was not without means, using Green + countless Sunny Thoughts Gu, plus other Supplementary Gu and even another Earth Immortal Gu.

The intensity of his thoughts.

Plus, the fact that his own 'resolve', and mental image of a world of peace were much stronger than that of Kao Dao Ji made his light shine several times brighter.

Whereas Uru Hong Jing's eyes shone with multiple traces of several colors.

6 Immortal Gu were activated, producing most of the colors of the rainbow, whereas countless 'Green' Mortal Gu were triggered one upon another, creating a rainbow.

Unfortunately, his resolve and idea of a world of peace were by far the weakest; his mental image was somewhat weaker than that of Le Tu.

Even so.

The power of those three minds pushed at the brink, stood so vibrantly that it outshone even the other suns within his aperture.

Countless people of the Kao Clan witnessed the scene.

Their hearts tightened.

After all, who would not panic upon witnessing a 'sun', falling from the skies?

Most people were unable to see further, yet the few Rank 5 and some Rank 4 Gu Masters widened their eyes.

For they witnessed not only their master, but also two unfamiliar Immortal Gu Masters.

But what stood out the most was that they were humans!

Their jaws tightened upon witnessing this.

"Wait. I remember Kao Dao Ji…He has been sending people to other continents and has even promoted those inter-race marriages. Could it be that he has been colluding with humans all along?"

Their expressions turned into one of horror.

Not only because of the treachery, but their minds turned towards the following conclusion.

If he had truly betrayed the Clan, and was siding with humans.

Now that they had seen the truth, could they truly go unscathed?

Unfortunately, there was nothing they could do.

Most importantly, they noticed, or already had.

Of a ginormous red barrier covering his aperture.

Realization dawned upon their expressions.

"There is an intruder! That is why Kao Dao Ji was forced to rely on those two."

But if that was true, then since when had this alliance begun?

Kao Dao Ji's eyelids trembled as he perceived the countless eyes staring at him.

But he simply had no choice.

It was do or die.

The three reached the ocean.

There was a massive splash, producing an intense wave that destroyed everything on its way.

The trio kept advancing like a missile heading towards his aperture, and once they went deep enough.

They screamed vigorously.

A golden beam was unleashed, piercing the stone underneath.

Moreover.

The intensity of the impact led to a sudden backlash.

Countless thunder rocks that were slumbering at the surface were unleashed one upon another; the seas shone with intensity.

As golden-blue lights surged in all directions.

Kao Dao Ji's eyelids twitched in agony; destroying so many resources of his aperture brought both emotional and physical pain to him.

At the same time.

The Golden Buddha's image became even more vivid; the surrounding Blood Phantoms immediately froze.

They closed their eyes, and tranquility appeared in their eyes.

Instants later.

The myriad of golden beams pierced through their cores effortlessly.

The sun kept advancing forward, moving towards another group of Blood Phantoms.

Several Immortal Essence Beads were consumed one upon another.

But neither of the three dared to hold back.

The sun moved towards the right, then towards the left.

The seas boiled.

The ground quaked.

And the myriad of living beings perished under what seemed divine wrath.

And as this happened.

The red barrier around Kao Dao Ji's aperture began to crack.

By that point, more than two-thirds of the Blood Phantoms had perished.

Truth be told, even such an amount posed a huge danger to Kao Dao Ji.

In fact.

The more of those Blood Phantoms he killed, the more thoroughly he understood that had Crimson Soul wanted to, he would have died already!

The only reason why he had not was that even if Le Tu and Uru Hong Jing were not strong enough to defeat him, they still could have found an opening to leave his aperture and escape using Divine Travel Gu.

But that only increased his anxiety.

If this was only to delay them, what did await them next?

The barrier shattered out of nowhere.

Yet Kao Dao Ji was not relieved in the slightest. This was not his doing.

Blood rain began to befall like a storm upon his aperture, and as it did.

It began to corrode everything.

But he disregarded the situation and directly asked.

"Le Tu, use your Divine Travel Gu!"

Le Tu nodded, immediately he tried to activate Divine Travel Gu.

But just like before.

The attempt failed.

Kao Dao Ji's eyelids trembled as he stared at the bloody rain.

Unlike the barrier, which remained stable, and would like keep its effect for months if not stopped, the rain seemed to be boiling.

Every passing second, it lost more and more force; likely, it could not last more than a few hours before dissipating completely.

Even so.

There was a weakness.

"Unlike the previous method, this barrier only disrupts Space-Time Alterations. It does not truly stop us from leaving the aperture." Uru Hong Jing's eyes shone as he grasped this crucial point.

Immediately.

He stared at Kao Dao Ji before smiling plainly.

Disregarding everything.

His eyes darted towards the right.

And his body flickered.

Disregarding the cost, he teleported as quickly as he could manage to.

Heading towards the corner of Kao Dao Ji's Aperture.

But just as he did.

Kao Dao Ji made a hand sign.

A tentacle of his aperture stretched and forcefully swallowed him whole.

Bringing him back to where he previously was.

"Do not even think about it!" Kao Dao Ji replied coldly.

"You should consider whether you truly have the ability to stop me or not." Uru Hong Jing replied coldly.

Then, he added.

"Besides, don't you know the saying? I prefer to see a man drowning than two!

I, and Le Tu we are both unqualified to save you. Anybody with a brain could figure this much.

You are already a dead man, don't bring others down with you." As he spoke those words, he turned his head towards Le Tu.

Whilst he felt confident in defeating Kao Dao Ji, he did not have any confidence against Le Tu.

Yet his expression soured as he noticed a solemn expression on Le Tu as he shook his head.

"You-You…" His eyelids trembled before he crossed his arms together.

Full of resentment.

But before he spoke a single other word.

Kao Dao Ji said.

"Is still not over! I have another Killer Move I have yet to try…"

Uru Hong Jing raised his eyebrows.

"A Killer Move that you have never used before me, or one that you have not used in general?"

Kao Dao Ji's lips trembled slightly.

"W-Well…It is true that I haven't actually used it, but I have made tried this on a smaller scale, and I already made the calculations. So, it should work."

Uru Hong Jing sighed deeply.

"Fine! I am already dead, so I may as well take the gamble."

Then he flickered once more.

He moved towards the rain, and so did Le Tu.

Once Kao Dao Ji was left alone.

He took a deep breath.

And another.

And another.

As he tried to calm his nerves.

"If I fail this…I will die…" He muttered before he shook his head and closed his eyes.

There was no point in lowering his own morale.

He opened his eyes fiercely.

At that moment, the walls of his Immortal Aperture began to tremble.

A strange gaseous substance began to spread in and out of his aperture.

Those clouds had a strange property; rapidly, they began to erode the walls of his Immortal Aperture.

Usually, those walls would have begun a process of healing, but Kao Dao Ji gritted his teeth and actively stopped the process.

And instead.

Those gaseous clouds began to pierce even deeper.

The expression of Kao Dao Ji contorted several times in the process.

But he endured.

Soon.

More than half of the walls surrounding his aperture had been reduced to nothingness.

And instead, they had been replaced by an endless layer of clouds.

Those clouds were chillingly cold at the center.

Preventing anything from leaking outside his aperture.

Then.

The gaseous substance surrounding his aperture began to move.

The aperture.

The aperture was actually moving!

Indeed.

This was the move he had thought of for such a long time.

[ A World inside a Cloud! ]

The aperture began to fly at seemingly divine speed.

For there was no body.

There was nothing that needed to be carried other than the clouds themselves and the aperture itself, which was infinitely 'light.'

Due to this, Kao Dao Ji's speed was staggering.

Surpassing the speed at which an Immortal using a Rank 6 Killer Move would reach.

But then.

Kao Dao Ji, who was steering the aperture with a calm expression, suddenly widened his eyes.

A massive shockwave was unleashed from a distance, and he was forced to retreat.

And as he retreated, he took a glimpse of the figure ahead.

Sometime ago.

Da Chou Jidan, upon hearing of the news, summoned every Rank 7 from his Clan.

And then pulled them towards his aperture.

Disregarding everything, he flew towards Kao Dao Ji's location at full speed.

He wanted to know how deep the alliance between the Kao Clan and the human forces was; he wanted to capture the three and extract all the information they had.

But more than anything, he felt incredibly tempted.

Uru Tan He, whilst a new Rank 8.

Was a Rank 8 after all.

The depth of his foundation, his wealth, and resources they could not be underestimated.

Of course, picking a fight with a Rank 8 was foolish, but to gain such great rewards merely by killing three Rank 6 Immortals?

Who would not be tempted?

Hence, he disregarded everything all the rules and immediately headed towards Kao Dao Ji with murderous intent.

But.

Along the way.

He was intercepted.

Kao Zha Ji stood in front of him.

"What is the meaning of this Da Chou Jidan?" He replied coldly, unleashing the devastating power of Atmospheric Pressure Gu.

But Da Chou Jidan laughed heartily.

The pressure vanished into nothingness.

He smiled smugly and then raised his finger to point at him.

Kao Zha Ji retreated to the side.

An azure flame was unleashed, destroying everything on its way.

"You are asking me why I am doing this? Well. I'd also like to know why the Kao Clan is colluding with humans?" He asked coldly.

The expression of Kao Zha Ji changed; he tilted his head momentarily, confused.

Until rage appeared in his face.

"You slandering bastard! Since when did I ever ally with humans?"

"Is that so? Then why don't you let me go to the aperture of Kao Dao Ji? If there are truly no humans there, I will apologize and gift you an Immortal Gu."

Upon hearing those words, Kao Zha Ji snorted coldly.

"As if I believe such words. Still, you should be mindful. You may be stronger than me, but do you truly think you can defeat me, Yu Moshi Nu, and me?"

Da Chou Jidan smirked.

"Is that so? Then I will just have to kill you before she arrives." As he spoke those words, his body was ignited by flames.

He charged towards Kao Zha Ji.

Who gritted his teeth, once more evading to his left.

But then.

Da Chou Jidan roared, unleashing yet another azure flame towards him.

Kao Zha Ji retreated even further; several clouds appeared to act as a buffer.

But just as he did this.

Da Chou Jidan gained enough time to summon from his aperture, Da Ji Rou.

"I will distract him! Go and find those three little thieves."

"Yes, sir."

Da Ji Rou stood at the aperture from the horizon.

"I have heard Immortal Apertures can be moved, but at such speeds? That is simply unheard of." He praised, but the greed in his heart could not be concealed.

At the same time, he also felt deeply overjoyed.

Had Kao Dao Ji gone into any other direction, he may have been unable to catch him, but he flew precisely to where he was.

"It seems even the Heavens want you dead!" He laughed heartily.

As those words were transmitted, Kao Dao Ji's expression soured even more.

"You don't have a fucking idea how right you are…"
