The remainder of Basics class passed without incident, though I could sense Ash growing more agitated with each passing minute. Xander continued to watch us with that same mocking expression, his sneer practically radiating across the classroom. The situation only worsened when I realized he would be the teaching assistant for my shifting class that afternoon.
Throughout the entire session, his eyes tracked my every movement like a predator stalking prey.
I desperately hoped I could force my wolf to emerge and give him a reason to back down, but Nyx remained stubbornly absent.
