Killian's POV
Rage burned through me as I stormed up the stairs, each step echoing like thunder. My bag crashed against my bedroom floor before I slammed the door hard enough to make the whole frame shake. I dropped onto my bed and pressed my palms against my face while the relentless music from the party downstairs hammered through the walls like a jackhammer.
Every childhood taunt came rushing back. The second I'd stepped into that elementary classroom, they'd made it crystal clear I'd never be enough. Not a High Alpha. Never worthy. Now those same barriers were being shoved in my face again, destroying my dreams before they could even grow. My biggest goal stayed beyond my grasp because of blood I could never alter.
Because I bore the name of someone already gone.
