Lyra's POV
Go ahead, Nyx snarled inside my head, her voice dripping with barely contained fury.
I stepped closer to my target, but an arm suddenly shot out across my stomach, blocking my path forward.
My head whipped toward the person who dared stop me, a dangerous growl building in my throat. Shock rippled through me when I saw Killian had positioned himself directly between Roxanne and me.
"Don't do it," he muttered under his breath, his voice tight with warning. "Getting into it with her will only give Octavia exactly what she wants."
I shoved his arm away from me with enough force to make him stumble back a step. "Since when do you care about what Octavia wants?" I snapped, my voice cutting through the tense air. "You already threw me under the bus in front of everyone when you confirmed I attacked her. Now you want to play protector?"
