"I suppose that's what happened," I replied with a casual shrug. "The realization caught me off guard too."
"Incredible," Poppy sank back against her pillows. "So you believe Alaric and Ash are both destined for you?"
"Don't forget Killian," I added with a nod.
The coincidence struck me as peculiar. Three of the four candidates my mother had carefully selected were apparently my fated mates. A fleeting thought crossed my mind about whether she had known about our connections before I did. But then I recalled how she had banished me to the human realm for many years. Surely she wouldn't have made that choice if she had been aware of my multiple bonds.
