The story starts when a group of four friends suddenly decides to go for a trip to the mountains for some relaxation. Rudra was the most excited person among the four. He works in a multi-national company and lives with his mother. He lost his father at a very small age. Now he is established and takes care of his mother very much. The names of other three are Souvik, Sandy and Mrinal respectively. Souvik runs his own business, Sandy has a music cafe and Mrinal is a teacher. All are established in their perspectives. There friendship started in school and after so many years still they are best friends. Everybody is busy in their schedule so they were not able to spend some time with each other. Thus they decided to take out some time and go to a hilly region and spend some leisure time.
They started discussion where they can go. Suddenly among them Souvik came through a post in social media that a travel agency is giving discount for 3 nights 4 days trip to North Bengal at a very reasonable price of rupees of three thousand nine hundred ninety nine per person. The trip consists of staying to some offbeat places. Souvik became excited and informed this to his friends. Everyone became excited as they can spend some leisure time as well as they can save some money.
They contacted the travel agency but came to know that the offer is valid but only for a group a minimum eight people. Otherwise they have to pay more per person. They thought of the same. But the very next day the travel agency contacted them and told that a group of four more people contacted them for the trip and asked their permission if they have any problem to travel with them. The four friends informed them of not having any problem travelling with some strangers. And finally the trip was finalized. They decided altogether to start their trip on 3rd of January.
As decided they boarded the train and reached NJP station from where they will start their journey. They met with the other four members as the travel agency provided them with a car to go to the destination. Now let's talk about the other four strangers who came to travel with them. They too stay in Kolkata and among them one newly married couple was travelling. They were accompanied by their sisters. After meeting the strangers slowly the boys made friendship and were happy. Among the newly weds the woman was a blogger. She has a small youtube channel and shares her daily life over there. They halted to several places by seeing the beauty of the mountains while reaching their destination. Finally they reached their homestay in Sittong.
Sittong is a very beautiful village located in the mountains. It's scenic beauty attracts people and is famous for it's oranges.
The group was tired as they were travelling for more than twelve hours and thought of taking lunch and some rest. In the evening they can do some bonfire and have some barbeque they thought. In the meantime let's have a clear view of the homestay. The homestay is situated just beside the roadside and there were a few homestays there. The homestay where they were staying have a couple to look after them. They were Midda and his wife Sherley. They cooked delicious food for their guests and took care of them. Beside their homestay was a house which had a shop. Rudra who used to smoke thought this homestay was a better fit for them as he can get cigarettes easily whenever he wants. The shop was run by an aged lady. She stays with his son and runs the shop selling chips, cigarettes, toffees and many more. Rudra went to the shop and purchased some items and handed the lady a five hundred rupees note. But the lady mistakenly returned more amount to him. But Rudra was a nice guy. He informed the lady and made her clear that she returned him more money. The lady was happy as few people are there who is truly a gentleman like Rudra. Rudra could go without returning the money but he didn't do that and this made the lady feel good. But Rudra noticed that the lady was a bit disturbed while talking and giving away items to her customers. She was looking somewhat uneasy and thinking of something else. Rudra noticed that but said nothing. After purchasing he came back to the homestay as his friends were waiting for him. And they had that day only in Sittong. The very next day after having breakfast they would leave the place and go to their next destination. Everybody was happy and enjoying their leisure time until the sudden mishap occured with them.
