The first time I saw her ...
I didn't know her name I didn't know her story all I new was that something inside me stop to working properly
It was raining that evening the kind of rain that makes the world feel quite and heavy l was late for work holding an umbrella that was already broken and my shoes for shoaked
I rushed into the nearest cafe just to escape the cold the cafe was warm full of the smell of coffee and cinnamon
people wear laughing chatting scrolling on their phone life was happening normally and then I saw her
her hair was wet sticking to her cheeks her eyes were red as if she had been crying but see looked beautiful ...not the kind of beauty that makes you stare... the kind that makes you feel something in your chest
I tried to ignore her I told myself I had work deadline and a life that didn't have room for feelings
but my body didn't listen I ordered a coffee and my eyes kept on going back to her I watched her lift the cup take a sip and then set it down again without drinking it was like she was trapped inside har own thoughts and then she looked up
our eyes made for a second
I felt strange heat in my face
she didn't look away
she didn't smile
she just look at me like she had been waiting for someone like me
that was the moment I realised
this was not going to be a normal day
