"You…. What brings you here!" Gina muttered slowly
"I don't want you wandering alone in the night " Archie confessed beaming of smiles
"To make sure I didn't get into trouble or what Archie? How many times have I mentioned I don't like being followed in the forest ?" She said, her voice trembled slowly from emotions
"You see" Archie murmured but this time Gina was lost in thought her heart twisted between fear, and so many words unspoken .
"Please go" she begged
Archie knew her better than anyone else and knew when he has to stop
"See you tomorrow" Archie said and walked away into the night
Again, the forest felt different , colder, heavier and unusually safer. Her stomach tightened "Who was that?" She murmured to herself
Something flickered across her mind. The wind swept through the trees again, carrying the echoes of a howl, louder than the first time and seem more audible that earlier , behind her she felt a cold touch.
Gina turned back , he was there, standing right in front of her.
"Hey" she called out "Who are you"
The figured was quiet and reluctant to utter a word
"Who are you?" She uttered again slowly
"Someone you won't forget " His voice deep yet hard to resist
Gina stood frozen for a moment and right before her eyes He was gone.
The forest fell silence, yet tension grew in he hearts as if the trees themselves were holding their breathe, the rustle of the squirrel or grass cutter could not longer be hear again.
Gina mind raced. Something in the way the figure looked at her, His gaze felt personal and familiar , something to be described as being intimate yet a mystery .
"Stay back" she screamed through the silent forest "Please" her chest heavy "Who are you?" But this time the figure was gone and it was just Gina speaking to herself
Gina heart raced as she stumbled back towards Home. Gina was the kind of girl anyone in Velora wouldn't notice. Her hair the color of autumn honey, Her smiles can be compared to a ray of sunshine, even birds adored her chirping voice when she sings, people said she has a voice as light as the air, her laughter lingered in people heart even after she was gone . Gina was just an ordinary girl who had a kind word to anyone who passes her by. She became an orphan at 18 and tended to her mothers baking business ever since then. She was on the lips of every young man at Velora with admiration and Archie happens to be one of them. There was something special about her a softness edger with courage. She had alway being a ordinary girl who enjoy living … until this evening.
Hurrying back to Velora, she couldn't stopping thinking about the glowing figure. His glowing eyes even in the darkness haunted her. She had never felt this strange about any human before. The inexplicable connections, a feeling she couldn't resist.
She thought of how her life was ordinary , having the best time of her life whenever she bakes strolling the town and hearing the whispering of the young men talk about her. It was Safe, Peaceful and Ordinary but tonight changed everything . Gina had always love to take a walk in the forest but tonight she realized the forest was much more complicated than she had ever imagined.
Back in her room, she pulled her knees closer to her chest and started at the moonlight which fell across her face.
"Who is he?" She whispered into the quiet
