Asher Ryder responded with a curt sound and a nod, then fell completely silent, having no intention of saying anything else. This Alpha was normally a man of few words, and now, meeting strangers, Asher Ryder became even more reticent. The only person who could make him open his mouth and speak at length was Ewan.
Karis Percy did not seem to mind at all. The man stroked his mustache lightly and smiled, "Just the two of you in this household, yet you manage so many things impressively. To tell you the truth, our trade syndicate travels back and forth trading everywhere, and thanks to that, I have met a lot of people. It is true that there is no shortage of talented individuals, but it is rare to find anyone as young who can develop as well as the two of you."
Ewan merely smiled in response, "We are just country folks, we really have not done anything as grand as you say."
