Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

The MC gets transported into another world. That world is the same world as the novel he was reading in his past life. He possesses the body of the Legendary Demon Fe Chuan.

The MC wakes up as the Legendary Demon Fe Chuan at 15 years old. He is confused because he was just reading a book before getting transported. His memories then resurface, and he realizes he is now the future Demon Fe Chuan.

A servant enters the room. Fe Chuan asks:

> "What date is it today?"

The servant answers:

> "Today is January 15th, 17 ABoG."

ABoG stands for After Battle of Gods.

The MC realizes there are only two days left until the Academy starts on January 17th, 17 ABoG. In the novel, Fe Chuan was attacked by Direwolves on his way to the Academy, got seriously injured, got lost for nine days, and then found the Demon Sword.

The MC also realizes that today is the day he is supposed to leave for the Academy.

Fe Chuan was originally supposed to travel with escorts, but Fe Chuan killed the escorts because I, the author, don't have the budget or enough players for the escorts.

When the Direwolves attack, Fe Chuan is prepared and avoids getting seriously injured. He defeats the Direwolves and continues moving.

When night comes, Fe Chuan goes directly to the location of the Demon Sword. He finds it successfully and obtains it without getting lost.

After obtaining the Demon Sword, he continues his journey and arrives at the Academy on time.

Fe Chuan arrives at the Academy on January 17th, 17 ABoG. The entrance area is full of students, but only three students are shown because the author doesn't have enough budget or players.

The instructors announce the entrance test:

Test Rules

Each student must defeat a Direwolf.

The goal is to defeat it in the fastest time.

Students are ranked from F to S.

S rank = No damage + 1-shot kill

Students are given wooden swords.

Direwolves can 3-shot normal players, but the instructors give each student a Totem of Undying.

If the Totem activates, the student fails and gets an F.

Test Results

Student 1 fails after the Totem activates.

Rank: F

Student 2 takes damage but finishes.

Rank: D

Fe Chuan enters the arena.

He is not strong. He is just a normal guy who got transported into this world. He is not hiding his strength because he doesn't have any.

He fights the Direwolf carefully and takes 62 seconds to defeat it without taking any damage.

He receives a B rank.

The final ranking results show that Fe Chuan ranked 36th out of 120 students, which is high but not top. The first place student achieved A+, defeating the Direwolf in 6 seconds.

Fe Chuan leaves quietly, unnoticed by others, knowing he still has a long way to go.

The next morning, the students gathered in the training hall. It was huge—like a giant cathedral made of stone and iron, with torches burning on every wall. The floor was made of black stone, and every step sounded like a warning.

Fe Chuan stood at the back, calm and quiet. He didn't want attention. He didn't want anyone to notice him. He was just a normal student.

The instructor walked in.

He was tall, his presence heavy like a mountain. His armor was simple, but it was clearly crafted by someone who knew how to fight. The students whispered.

"Master rank."

The instructor stood in the center and looked around.

"Today," he said, "you will learn something most people don't understand until it's too late."

He paused.

"The world is divided into ranks."

He pulled out a chalkboard and wrote the words clearly:

Normal — Experienced — Expert — Master — Grandmaster — Saint — God

The students stared. Some were shocked. Some were excited. Fe Chuan already knew all of this, but he was listening anyway. Because even if you know the rules, you still have to survive them.

The instructor continued.

"Normal players have 1 Life Cycle."

He pointed to the board.

"One Life Cycle equals one row of hearts."

Fe Chuan listened carefully. This was important.

"Experienced players have 2 Life Cycles."

"Experts have 3 Life Cycles, and they gain Level 1 Protection."

He paused.

"At this level, players can use potion effects, but only Tier 1."

The students looked at each other in awe. Fe Chuan didn't react. He already knew.

The instructor continued.

"Master rank has 5 Life Cycles, Level 2 Protection, and can use Tier 2 effects."

A few students whispered.

The instructor smiled slightly.

"Now, Grandmaster rank splits into two paths."

He wrote the words on the board.

Vitality Path

Endurance Path

"Vitality Grandmasters have 8 Life Cycles and Level 2 Protection."

"And Endurance Grandmasters have 4 Life Cycles, but Level 4 Protection."

The students were stunned. Fe Chuan nodded. The logic was clear.

Protection meant Resistance.

It reduced damage.

Life Cycles meant how many times you could survive.

That's why the gap between Expert and Master was huge.

Because the first real power leap was at Master rank.

The instructor noticed the silence.

He spoke again.

"Why does this matter?"

He looked at the students like they were a group of young chickens.

"Because you need to understand that this world isn't a game."

"This world is survival."

He paused.

"Once you become a Master, the difference in power becomes huge. Because it's not just about hearts."

"It's about your ability to keep going."

Fe Chuan's eyes were sharp. He knew this already.

But the instructor wasn't done.

"The dreams of almost everyone in this world," he said, "is to reach Godhood."

He looked at the students, letting them feel the weight of his words.

"God rank is the highest."

"And yet…"

He shook his head.

"There are only 5 God ranks currently alive."

The students gasped.

The instructor continued.

"18 years ago, the gods fought."

He stopped.

"Why they fought? I don't know."

He looked at the students.

"Where they fought? I don't know."

The students looked shocked.

The instructor raised his hand.

"I'm only a Master rank."

He said it like it was obvious.

"Information about Saints and above is locked. I cannot access it."

He paused.

"But I can tell you this."

"Saints participated in that war."

He let that sink in.

"And because Saints participated…"

"They told the world what happened."

He looked at the students again.

"So yes, the world knows the gods fought."

"But they don't know why."

"And they don't know where."

Fe Chuan's mind was racing.

He knew the truth.

He knew the war happened in the End Dimension.

He knew it was a place only Saint ranks and above could enter.

He knew the gods fought there for the Dragon Egg.

And he knew the rumors.

The Dragon Egg was said to be the key to reach another rank…

A rank beyond God.

A rank called Immortal.

Fe Chuan kept quiet.

Because this wasn't the time to reveal it.

The instructor finally spoke again.

"This academy is part of the Tavercrest Empire."

A murmur went through the students.

"The strongest player in the Tavercrest Empire is a Saint rank."

He paused.

"There are only 6 Saints in the entire empire."

He looked around the room.

"And there are zero God ranks in our empire."

The students gasped again.

The instructor continued, "Our principal is a Saint rank."

He added, "He was once a student here."

"And now…"

He said the next part like it was a fact everyone already knew.

"He is ranked 111th in the Heaven and Earth Rankings."

The students stared.

Heaven and Earth Rankings were for Saints only.

And their principal… was one of the strongest.

The instructor finished with a final warning.

"Don't forget."

He looked directly at Fe Chuan, even though he didn't know it.
