Chapter 20 - [Game 1 - Prelims] Lunatic Player 12, Madly Licking Cockroach Jade Feet

Chapter 20 – Lunatic Player 12, Madly Licking Cockroach Jade Feet

[Player 12, please begin your speech]

Player 12 is a young woman.

But she's nothing like Player 6, Cute Girl or Player 8, Sister Da Bo.

She wears a medium-length bob and looks a bit unhinged.

Wang Changsheng glanced at her and trawled his memory.

He realized she seemed to be from a team called Going Crazy Supreme.

Then he recalled the name she'd picked for herself.

Apparently… "Madly Licking Cockroach Jade Feet?"

The instant that name surfaced in his mental archive,

Wang Changsheng's vision went black.

What kind of freakish name was that?

From that single, simple stage name alone,

Wang Changsheng instantly gained a deep understanding of the so-called Going Crazy Supreme squad.

If someone could name herself "Madly Licking Cockroach Jade Feet,"

it was obvious how deranged the people in that team were.

Wang Changsheng had even braced himself to sit back and enjoy a rant of shrieks and howls from this girl.

Yet although her name was nuts,

when she spoke she sounded soft and fragile, nothing like a lunatic.

"I think Player 2's points were fine. Player 10 Seer, Player 11 Golden Water, I'm a Good Guy, and Player 2's read and speech both feel like a Good Player Card."

"Player 3 most likely left as a Wolf Gun; his Wolf Teammate must be in that little circle, so Player 5 can't be cleared either. Even if 5, 6, 7 are hitting each other, wolves can still run a wolf-bites-wolf setup."

"So with 5, 6, 7 fighting, Player 9—who voted for Player 3—can actually be set aside for now; I think checking him in the second badge flow is pretty good."

"Player 2 and I think alike, so if you Seer and Player 11 believe there's a wolf between us, we'd have to be double wolves. But I'm not a wolf, and Player 2 doesn't sound like one to me. If we were double wolves, we wouldn't need to protect each other here and still defend Player 9."

"We could just whip up a storm in the last seat and push to eliminate Player 9."

"Of course you might think we're too sure Player 9 is a Good Guy, but it's actually not that hard to see."

"First, the three cards 5, 6, 7 are hitting each other; they hold one or two wolves. If 9 is a wolf, whose teammate would he be? Player 2 and I defend 9, Player 7 defends 9, only Player 6 attacked 9 earlier, and even Player 4 defends 9. So if there's a wolf, 9 can't be our teammate; 8, 5, 6 have also hit 9, so he can't be theirs either."

"So isn't Player 9 just a sold-out white card? That should be obvious, right?"

Madly Licking Cockroach Jade Feet looked at the Seer and his Golden Water,

gave a sweet smile.

"So my suggestion is to eliminate one from 5, 6, 8. But since I think 5, 6, 7 contain two wolves, and I'm not sure about leeway between 8 and 9, we can first eliminate and check one from 5 or 6. If it's a Good Guy, smash 7; if it's a wolf, go for the Confirmed Kill, then second badge flow check 9. I don't see how we lose."

"Jiejiejiejie!"

Mid-sentence, the young woman suddenly let out a weird laugh.

Wang Changsheng's eyelids twitched.

Seriously—

whose Good Guy laughs like that?

Jiejiejie?

Anyone would think someone from Spirit Hall had arrived.

"That's my view. I read Player 2 as Good, Player 5 as wolf, one wolf between 6 and 7—check one, smash one. One wolf between 8 and 9. Nothing more. Pass."

Player 12's speech was brief.

Unlike others who poured out layers of logic, she simply pointed to her suspected wolf pit.

Speaking last, right before the Seer and Golden Water in the final seat,

this kind of statement actually looked very Good.

Because everyone already accepted Player 10 as the Seer,

and Player 11 as his Golden Water.

If Player 12 is a Good Guy, she only needs to name her wolf pit.

The more she said, the more she'd have to manoeuvre,

giving wolves chances to seize on small slips and hammer her.

Good Guys might also see her speech as calculated manipulation, lowering her chance of holding a Good Player Card.

So by simply pointing out her wolf pit and leaving the rest to Seer and Golden Water, she was set.

With zero last-seat manoeuvres, her Good Guy stock shot straight up.

"Looks like this girl, crazy as she seems, really knows how to play," Wang Changsheng murmured, glancing at her before shifting his gaze to Player 11.

[Player 11, please speak]

It was Old Chu's turn.

Thoughtfulness still lingered on his face.

Although his hidden role was Villager,

whatever card he held, he would contribute his utmost to his faction.

So since he had chosen Player 10 as his unparalleled Seer while on the podium, he would not waver now.

And whether under or off the sheriff, everything he'd heard confirmed Player 10 as the True Seer.

Since he had received Golden Water,

he would work wholeheartedly for his Seer.

"I'll keep it short; you decide the badge flow yourself. The wolves won't Self-Destruct this round, so let's see who goes first."

His gaze swept the table.

Two cards had already turned to shadows and left the game.

Only ten cards remained.

Excluding himself and the Seer,

that left eight.

If Player 1 is the Witch, spotting three wolves among eight

was actually not too hard.

After a brief pause,

he spoke slowly.

"Player 12's speech under the sheriff had no maneuvers; she doesn't feel like a wolf. Player 2 discussed early-position logic, cleared 12 as Good, and 12 thinks 2 looks fine."

"2 and 12 vouching for each other feels like Good Guys backing each other; I don't think a wolf sits between them."

He stopped, then turned to Player 10.

"I'm locking those two as Good. If you want wolves, look to the outer positions."

As Golden Water, his words to the Seer couldn't be bolder.

Yet because he was Golden Water, he could speak with such abandon.

That was Old Chu's style.

He played Werewolf hard as steel, and right now shouting at the Seer was no problem at all.

After all, everyone accepted him as a Golden Water Good Guy.

"After this round I can clear Players 2 and 12. We'll listen again next round, but tonight you're not eliminating them—got it?" Old Chu finished, turning to the other cards.
