I can hardly believe that Lee Know came to my apartment to find me...but Jordan is still here, just out of sight behind my door.
"(Y/N), I know I messed up. Please, will you hear me out?"
"Uh, now's not really a good time..."
I step aside, but not to let Lee Know in. Unsteady, I make room for Jordan to leave.
"Jordan? I thought you were spending the day with your family..."
"Uh, hey Min-ho. I was–I mean, I am. I just came by to check on (Y/N)."
Jordan turns to me, a soft smile on his lips.
"Call me if you need anything, okay?"
I nod. Jordan looks like he wants to say more, but decides against it. I wait until he rounds the corner before speaking.
"I know how this must look but–"
"Please, let me go first."
He walks past me into the apartment, a man on a mission.
"There's no excuse for what I did. You were right to storm off. Honestly, now that I've had the chance to think about it... I'm surprised you didn't want a break sooner."
"Lee Know..."
"No, it's true. I've always had a problem with ultimatums. My dad used to make them all the time, and then with Addi... Regardless of my past, you put yourself out there, and I hesitated. That was inexcusable. I let you down."
"Lee Know... I need more time to process everything... You haven't even let me cool off from our fight."
I can still hear Jordan's words echoing in my mind, and I'm not sure I'm in the right headspace to hash things out with Lee Know tonight.
"You're right. I know this is fast, and if you need more space after I do this, then it's all yours."
Lee Know takes a deep breath, his eyes never leaving my face.
"But I'm ready to prove my commitment to you if you'll give me the chance."
"Prove it? How?"
"Come with me..."
Twenty minutes later, Lee Know leads me through the dazzling maze of Rockefeller Plaza. It's completely set up for winter, except for the unlit tree that isn't scheduled to turn on until next week.
"What are we doing here?"
"You'll see. It's almost time."
I approach a group of reporters and photographers standing in the cold. I immediately take a step away from Lee Know...but he wraps an arm around my waist, pulling me close.
"Lee Know...they'll see us!"
"I don't care."
"Look, there they are! Are you getting this?" A reporter asks.
"Every shot."
"Lee Know, what's going on?"
I look around as the reporters crowd us, but when I glance back at Lee Know, his gaze is fixed on mine. It's as if we're the only two people in the world.
"Since the day you first walked into my life, everything has changed for the better. I was closed off, scared to love again, although I never would've admitted it. But when you showed up, it was like I could breathe again. You brought such a light, such a hope with you. And you helped me become a better father, something I'll always be grateful for."
"Lee Know..."
"I know it won't always be easy, and we still have a lot to figure out, but I'm tired of keeping my heart to myself. So I'm giving it to you. To hold. To protect. To cherish. My only regret is that I didn't do this months ago."

I launch myself into Lee Know's arms. The familiar comfort of his embrace is all I need to know I'm making the right choice.

"I can see why. I understand that the two of you aren't just dating each other, you work together as well?"
I glance over at Lee Know, unsure how I'm supposed to proceed, but all he does is smile encouragingly.
"Working at Lee-Russo is a dream come true. I've wanted to work at a company like that since I was a kid. It's been an amazing experience so far, and I'm lucky to be there."
"(Y/N) is being modest. She's leading some of the most promising developments in our labs. I've heard about it, even though I'm in charge of an entirely different department. If anything, we're lucky to have her."
"You two really do seem to have it all. Just one more question, and then I'll let you enjoy your new relationship... What's next for the two of you? Vacations abroad? A little downtime? A cutesy couple name and a front-page spread in the tabloids?"
"I think I'll let Min-ho take this one."
"If I have anything to say about it, we'll do all of the above and more. Starting with a little downtime...alone."

The reporter and her crew start packing up.
"Thank you for helping us out." Lee Know tells the reporter.
"Are you kidding? The audience will eat this up. Call me anytime you two need someone to help you out. This is the scoop of my career."
With a final wave and nod, the reporters head out, leaving Lee Know and I under the twinkling lights of the Rockefeller tree.
"You ready for phase two of our night?"
"There's another phase after all this? Lead the way..."
Before I know it, Lee Know and I are sitting on a luxurious couch inside a hotel suite. From this angle, I can see the Rockefeller tree outside the window, still lit up with Lee Know's message for me.

The air is crisp and cold, but the sun shines brightly as we arrive at Coney Island. Since it's a Monday, the park is mostly empty. We practically have it all to ourselves, a far cry from the last time I brought the boys.

"Take me and Mason on the roller coaster!" Mickey begs.

The twins send up a rallying cheer. They lose no time in leading the way to the concession stand, where the scent of fried goodies and sugary confections fills the air.

Within minutes, the boys have their snacks and are scarfing them down. Lee Know and I watch on in amusement, taking our own bites at a much slower pace.

After all the snacks are gone, Lee Know and I help the twins into their Ferris wheel cart before getting into a separate one. As we rise above Coney Island, a cold breeze washes over me.

"I figure it's the least I can do after everything I put you through."
"It's a start. But you're going to have to do better if you really want forgiveness." Lee Know tells him.
"I know. For now, I wanted to let you know that I'm glad (Y/N) finally realized she's enough for you. She always has been. It's just a shame it took her so long to realize it."
