Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: The Mysterious Visitor

The very first thing I did after obtaining manager privileges for the World of Doom Gallery was none other than...

First, I blocked all the accounts with suspicious identification codes.

"Block 'em all. Where do these anomaly bastards think they're slinking in from?"

There was even a new [Ban All Suspicious IPs] function added, so I clicked it. All the anomalies and weird phenomena that had been infesting the gallery were instantly booted out.

With just one click, I eradicated every last anomaly lurking in the gallery—no need to stumble across any gore pics.

This is absolute power right here.

💬 Trending Posts — [What the? Mod's back?] — [Gallery back to normal? What gives (2)] — [Time to praise the Mod starting now (12)] — [Special big Mod, praise him] — [First time seeing reverse flow clear in one go (1)] — [How long will this Mod last... (1)]

The reaction was explosive.

People who wanted to use the World of Doom Gallery but couldn't due to the infestations started praising the new Mod and sharing their thoughts on the normalization.

'That takes care of the most dangerous ones for now.'

With a human-only clean zone established, they'll start sharing info among themselves now.

Then I can just manage the gallery and cherry-pick the good intel.

'Fixers have to hunt down jobs due to the nature of the profession. The gallery's existence is invaluable.'

In a way, most of the survivors in the World of Doom Gallery could be seen as high-quality test subjects delivering info right to me.

If those who got isekai'd before me share locations where anomalies appear, I can hunt them down and claim the rewards based on that.

No need for me to legwork searching for anomalies—they'll scout for me.

'First up, gotta lay down some basic rules for the gallery.'

I wrote up the most fundamental announcement.

Obviously, terrorism results in permanent ban. Same for unauthorized anomaly pics outside the info or Q&A tabs.

Certain anomalies trigger effects just by looking, so extra caution needed for info distribution.

I also set up a 'Report Booth' in the announcement for reporting malicious users.

That completes the basics for a managed gallery.

'Next...'

I tidied up the messy gallery and separated tabs: General, Info, Q&A, and Strategy.

General is just a free board, Info for user-discovered anomalies or haunted spots, Q&A for newbies and survivors asking survival questions, Strategy for info on anomalies you've cleared.

This turns the World of Doom Gallery into an info repository and wiki.

'That about does it?'

Reorganization complete.

User reactions were great—everyone busy praising the Mod.

The great new Mod replacing the vanished old armbands...

📰 Post Title: Isn't this Mod different from the last one? First time the gallery normalized this fast. Not human, right? What if it's luring all humans in the gallery then wiping us out at once? — Anonymous Bullshit — Anonymous Damn, that actually sounds plausible? — Anonymous Why plausible lol — Anonymous What? So if I post now, IP traced and fucked? — Anonymous Fuck, was hiding good but screwed now

Posts doubting my existence started popping up too.

Never before had the reverse flow been cleared this fast, they said, questioning if the manager was really human. Doubters multiplied like rabbits.

Having lived through so much anomaly trauma, everyone was at terminal suspicion levels.

No choice but to prove I'm human.

'Might as well ask about what I'm curious on while proving it.'

I posted in the Q&A tab.

📰 Q&A Post Title: Got a question What does "no multi" mean? Seems like everyone's isekai'd, right? (Attached: photo of my hand) — Anonymous Big Mod! — Anonymous No way, a real human? — Anonymous Mod is god! Mod is god! — Anonymous "No multi" means we're all in single-player mode, basically. — Anonymous No online, no one dropped in the same world. — Anonymous Structure seems like each has to save their own world.

Users exploded over my short post with the hand pic.

Amid endless praise, some dropped the exact info I wanted.

'Single-player mode. Only one isekai per world, huh.'

As expected, no one shared worlds.

Literally solo play.

'Over half gave up on clearing...'

Another new fact: everyone isekai'd in their 'original' state.

In other words, no one else got the Baby Mode Pack for Cowards like me.

Stock vanilla isekai, no tuning—hard mode for them.

Suddenly, an irresistible urge hit me.

Right now, a cute anomaly girl in mourning garb and apron was diligently cleaning the office.

What if I snap a pic and post it? They'd lose their minds with envy, right?

I couldn't resist the temptation.

📰 Photo Post (Attached: photo of White-Faced Bride cleaning) — Anonymous You crazy bastard!!!! — Anonymous Fuck, sudden eye bleach overload — Anonymous Pls no trauma triggers — Anonymous Warn for gross pics — Anonymous Mod lost it? — Anonymous What? That's the White-Faced Bride, right? — Anonymous No way White-Faced Bride in a Fixer office? — Anonymous Yeah?? Why's White-Faced Bride there?

Comments poured in instantly.

Started with hate for the "gross pic," but shifted to questions.

From this, I learned two more facts.

'They don't see the White-Faced Bride as pretty...'

First one.

They perceive her original horrific form.

Maybe only I see her as a cute smiling girl.

'Second, I'm the only one who's tamed the White-Faced Bride.'

They're tutorial clearers like me.

So they all know her, and unanimously questioned how I dragged a haunt-type White-Faced Bride to the Fixer office.

This highlighted the gap between them and me.

From stats to privileges available.

Obviously, my Baby Mode Pack for Cowards dominated.

Suddenly grateful to whoever advised downloading the mod in my complaint post.

Thanks to them, I navigate this horror game world so easily.

"Um, dear husband..."

"Yeah? What."

"Cleaning's done... Hehe..."

I closed the chaotic World of Doom Gallery—full of posts about me—and looked around the office at the White-Faced Bride's call.

As she said, the messy items were all neatly sorted. Pretty good cleaning skills.

Suits a resentful unmarried spirit—top-tier housework.

⚙ QUEST COMPLETED! ⚙ The office has been cleaned. Rewards granted.

A bit of cash, plus housewarming gifts poured in.

Nothing special, but practical: toilet paper, nice-smelling diffuser, mood lighting.

"Good work. You can rest now."

"Um... first night..."

"Back to the ring."

"Ahh...!"

I resummoned the persistent White-Faced Bride eager for our first night.

Office cleaned, gallery intel gathered—now time to check the Info tab's 'Secrets of the Fixer Office Building.'

◇◇◇◆◇◇◇

There were quite a few Fixer class isekai like me in the gallery.

They all posted in Info that the Fixer office building held secrets, boiling down to seven anomalies.

🗂 BUILDING SECRETS 🗂 1. 4th Floor Bathroom Mirror 2. Noises from 2nd Floor Empty Room 3. Woman in the Elevator 4. Bloodstains in Rooftop Storage 5. Cleaning Lady's True Identity 6. Mysterious Basement Parking 7. Knocking Outside the Office

"Whoa. That's a lot."

The Fixer office building was a haunted hotspot.

Other classes like Exorcists or Spirit Mediums start in their sects, but Fixers—the only freelancer class—begin amid anomalies and ghost stories.

'They all sensed anomalies from day two after reaching the office.'

None yesterday.

But starting today, these might creep out?

Each one screams EXP and rewards.

Other Fixers flee in terror to new bases, but I was thrilled.

'Most yesterday's earnings went to back rent and utilities. Chance to make bank.'

I'm broke now.

Morning bank run used all White-Faced Bride quest cash on overdue bills and rent.

Dunning texts and landlord calls snapped me awake.

Even in an anomaly-filled world, landlords are scarier.

Anyway, penniless me needs cash, no clients coming—so purify the building for reward money.

Time to resolve the commercial building's ghost stories.

This is my future home—gotta clear out visible anomalies.

'Most spawn at dawn. For now, hit the rooftop that works anytime.'

As I headed out to investigate 'Bloodstains in Rooftop Storage,' someone knocked from outside.

Knock knock knock.

"Huh?"

This the 7th ghost story, 'Knocking Outside the Office'?

Anomaly visiting personally? Lucky.

Heart pounding with thoughts of quick kill and pocket money, I opened the office door.

"Oh, um. Hello..."

"Yeah?"

But no anomaly—instead, a nun stood there.

"Um, do you... take requests?"

Big sparkling eyes, young-looking nun.

Human, not anomaly.

⚔ STATUS ⚔ 👤 Name: Shin Seo-hyeon (Baptismal Name: Joanna) 💼 Job: Heretic Inquisitor 🏛 Affiliation: Sisters of the Blood Spear 📝 Description: The sisters' sharpest weapon 😠 Status: Distrust, Suspicion, Probing

Gazing at her face, info popped up like with the monk yesterday.

"Uh, come on in."

Good or bad, not an anomaly.

Something more dangerous: a human.

The nun's visit to the office seemed aimed at interrogating me.
