Chen knew the mechanics of a Juggernaut, but witnessing Dr. Mundo in the flesh was a different nightmare. In the game, he was a nuisance; here, he was a biological disaster. Chen tried a final gambit: communication. Mundo still believed he was a doctor—perhaps there was a way to play along.
"Don't act rashly!" Chen signaled to Caitlyn. He stepped forward, raising his hands. "Dr. Mundo, there are no patients here. Please, go back to the hospital. Shift's over!"
Mundo stopped, scratching his massive purple head with a hand the size of a man's torso. He looked at the Enforcers, then back at Chen. "My assistant said all these blue uniforms are patients! Patients need... medicine!"
"Wait," Chen asked, his voice tight. "Who is your assistant?"
Mundo thought hard, his vacant eyes rolling. "What was his name? Sh-something-ko... Shirko? Yeah, Shirko!"
Silco. Chen's heart sank.
But Mundo was done talking. He reached for the Infected Bonesaw at his hip and hurled it with terrifying velocity. It wasn't a tactical throw; it was raw, mindless force. The saw buried itself in the skull of an unlucky Enforcer with a wet crunch. Before Chen could shout, the giant leaped into the crowd.
Mundo swung his "medical" briefcase like a wrecking ball. One swing sent three Enforcers flying, their ribs shattering as they were used to batter down the rest of their squad. He snatched back his saw, and suddenly, a modified defibrillator on his chest began to spark.
Heart Zapper (W): Blue electricity pulsed from Mundo's body, arcing through the surrounding Enforcers.
"FIRE!" Caitlyn roared.
A volley of lead hammered into Mundo. His body became a "beehive" of entry wounds, but he simply stood there, an eerie, dopaminergic smile on his face. "Mundo's pain tolerance is always zero!"
The chemical vats on his back hissed, injecting a pure, concentrated Shimmer cocktail into his veins. His muscles surged, literally spitting the bullets back out of his flesh as the wounds knitted shut in seconds.
Passive Proc: Goes Where He Pleases / Maximum Regeneration.
"Being a doctor is hard," Mundo grumbled, hacking through an Enforcer's shoulder. "Everyone yells at you!"
Chen rushed in, his streetlamp glowing. "RUN!" he screamed to the survivors. He slammed his pole into the back of Mundo's neck, proccing Grasp of the Undying and highlighting a Vital on the giant's spine.
Mundo spun, his saw whistling toward Chen's head. Chen hit his Counter Strike just in time, the iron shaft of the lamp vibrating as it absorbed the blow.
From the shadows, Vi launched herself. Cease and Desist (R)! She didn't just punch; she drove her entire weight behind a super-charged Atlas Gauntlet aimed at the base of Mundo's skull. It was a hit that would have decapitated a Shimmer Warrior, but Mundo didn't even budge. A small chemical vial popped off his back, shattering on the ground.
"Mundo Goes Where He Pleases~"
His passive had absorbed the hard crowd-control. Chen saw his opening and triggered the stun at the end of his Counter Strike, locking Mundo in place while the "Enforcer" coils from Caitlyn's support snapped around his ankles.
"Retreat!" Chen shouted, hitting a Vital and proccing the movement speed buff. "Kite him! We can't trade hits!"
As they pulled back, Mundo hurled another saw. Chen tried to dodge, but the projectile caught him in the shoulder. -25% HP. He felt the "Infected" slow kick in—a 40% reduction in speed.
"Damn it! One Q every four seconds! I can't outrun him!"
Mundo caught up, swinging his briefcase in a devastating horizontal arc. Chen took the hit to his lower back, spitting blood as his health bar plummeted into the red. -33% HP.
"DECIMATE!" Chen roared through the pain. He swung his streetlamp in a frantic 360-degree spin, the outer ring catching Mundo and returning 15% of Chen's missing health.
Vi lunged in with a Vault Breaker (Q), knocking Mundo back just enough to buy Chen a second of breathing room. But Caitlyn's shots were barely tickling him without her Hextech rifle. Mundo ignored the bullets, his eyes fixed on his two "priority patients."
Another saw whistled through the air. Vi pivoted, her Blast Shield absorbing the impact, but Mundo was already on top of them.
Suddenly, a high-pitched whistle screamed from the sky.
BOOM!
A rocket slammed into Mundo's chest, the blast forcing the giant to stagger back. High on a streetlamp, Jinx was crouched with Fishbones on her shoulder, a maniacal grin on her face.
"Hey! Fishbones, should we blow something up?"
Another rocket streaked down, the blue-haired girl cackling as she provided the "Anti-Healing" fire they so desperately needed.
