It wasn't just domestic cinemas.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was released simultaneously across all markets, hitting screens from London to Los Angeles. Although audiences worldwide had heard that the "Honored One," played by Leo Vance, was not the protagonist, but rather a newcomer named Finn Blake the "Vance Factor" was enough to keep the theaters packed.
Following the massive success of Hidden Inventory, the hype was at a fever pitch. On international platforms like X and Instagram, popularity polls were dominating the feeds.
Gojo Satoru undeniably took the top spot. Suguru Geto (Robert Sterling) secured second place by a narrow margin over Toji Fushiguro, who sat in third. Fourth place went to Kaori Miyazono (Chloe Summers).
It was a testament to Leo's reach; even the "Healing" drama Your Lie in April had penetrated the global market, earning tears from audiences. The cooperation between Leo's scripts and his hand-picked actors was proving to be a goldmine for Skyline Media.
The trailer for JJK 0 had promised the fallout of Suguru Geto's betrayal, and fans were obsessed with the "Binary Stars", the fan nickname for the duo of Gojo and Geto. In a sense, this was Leo's greatest export: a deep, complex brotherhood that transcended standard action tropes.
While the world was shipping the "Strongest Duo," they were also curious about Finn Blake's Yuta Okkotsu. Before the release, a fan on X had asked: ["Leo, what kind of story does this movie actually tell?"]
Leo Vance had replied with a single sentence: ["It tells the story of a cursed love."]
That one reply did more for the marketing than a month of professional PR. It immediately set a new wave of expectations. How could the hero be trapped in a cursed love? ***

"It's about to start. I wonder what surprise Leo has for us this time."
In the back corner of the theater, a man wearing a baseball cap pulled low over his eyes stared at the screen. This was Harrison Reed, one of the industry's most charismatic veterans. Beside him were Tiffany and Selena Wright.
Since their next big project, Blossoms, was about to start filming, they were deep in script readings but had carved out a night to support Leo.
"Hey, Tiffany," Harrison teased in a low voice. "You were just in Hidden Inventory. Can you help me get a foot in the door at Celestial Peak? I want a cameo! I need to satisfy my acting itch."
"Look at you," Tiffany rolled her eyes playfully. "Are you really trying to use your 'legacy' status to cut the line?"
Harrison coughed into his hand. "I prefer to call it 'advocating for art.' I am a man of the theater, Tiffany!"
Tiffany turned serious. "During my time on Leo's set, I heard them discussing new characters for the next season. I think there are two that would fit you perfectly, Harrison."
Harrison's eyes lit up. "Which ones?"
"One is a villain named Choso, and the other is a high-stakes gambler named Kinji Hakari. Both are extremely powerful."
"A gambler? Now that's interesting..." Harrison murmured. "I might have to give Leo a call myself."
"Shh, it's starting," Selena reminded them.
On the Big Screen.
The film opened in a dark, oppressive classroom. Yuta Okkotsu (Finn Blake) sat hunched over his desk, being cornered by a group of cruel bullies.
"Do you know how much I want to beat you up?" the lead bully sneered, his face contorted with a generic, ugly malice that made the audience immediately despise him.
Yuta didn't speak. He just stared at the ground, his expression pained and haunted. The bully reached out to grab him by the collar.
"You're making me impatient... I might accidentally kill you!"
"Don't... don't come over!" Yuta whispered, his voice trembling. "Rika!"
Suddenly, the shadows in the classroom swirled. A massive, chalk-white palm, the hand of a monster erupted from the darkness and dragged the bully away with a sickening crunch.
The screen was instantly tinged with a bewitching, scarlet light.
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry..."
A thick, red liquid began to seep from a nearby locker. With a haunting giggle, the locker door slowly creaked open. Inside, the four bullies were stuffed together, broken and twisted into shapes that resembled Curse Spirits.
The audience in the theater shivered.
["Wait, are we sure this isn't a horror movie? That's terrifying!"]
["Well done! Those bullies got exactly what they deserved."]
["Finn Blake is good. You can feel the weight on his shoulders just by how he breathes."]
["Leo's ability to find these kids is insane. It's like he can turn anyone into a lead."]
As the film transitioned from horror to the broader world of sorcery, Leo Vance's Gojo Satoru finally appeared.
True to form, he was introduced in a room covered with protective talismans.
"It's very lonely to be alone," Gojo said, his voice carrying that signature mix of playfulness and absolute authority. "If the curse placed on you is used differently, it can help people. Come with me. Learn how to use your power. If you still want to give up after that... it won't be too late."
Under Gojo's guidance, Yuta began to find his footing.
The scene shifted to the classroom at Jujutsu High.
"Next up, let's introduce our transfer student!" Gojo shouted, his movements exaggerated and "cute" as he addressed the second-year trio: Jade's Maki, and the others.
The atmosphere in the room was awkward, a classic "Vance" comedic beat that made the audience smile. If they had a teacher like Gojo back in high school, they probably would have made it into Harvard.
The heavy dread of the opening was replaced by a sense of wonder. As the classroom door was pushed open, Yuta Okkotsu stepped inside, his life and the world of the audience about to change forever.
