Chapter 11 - VANISHED IN A FLASH

MALEDICTION (4)

(Authors note- sorry i gave the wrong chapter before, i don't even know how i mixed them up)

Suddenly everything seemed slower, he could feel each and every follicle of hair on his skin colliding with dust particles that wondered aimlessly about the dungeon.

"If you don't hurry the party will end." Is what he heard, before the voice finally faded into nothing.

 "Yes ma'am."

He ran through the dungeon halls, jumping with glee, he had never felt so free in his life. He no longer pondered about his tomorrow, rather he was living in the now. And boy oh boy was the now beautiful.

He quickly climbed up the steps, jumping along the walls. Just a bit further he saw a light, torch light.

"Hey, what's that?" A guard asked another guard standing next to him. The man took a chug of his canteen. After he finished he turned and looked down the steps. Streaks of purple came rushing up the steps.

 "I don't--"

Gil placed his palms on their faces, shredding their skin as purple static travelled through their blood, along their arteries and veins finally reaching their hearts, stopping them and instantly frying them.

He then flung the dead bodies through the wooden door into the tarvan.

 "What the…"

The corpses landed with a thud, one on a wooden table another on the floor. Nancy jumped, her eyes dilated as she stared at the mangled corpse. The skin on its face shredded, bare pink flesh exposed . Something out of a Friday the 13th movie.

"AAAAHHHH!" She dropped the tray of booze in her hands, they landed on the floor spilling all over.

"Whatsh the commushion?" A drunk man asked looking at the corpse on his table, he leaned in closer to sniff it. "Meat?" He wondered, he poked it.

Gil then walked in cracking his knuckles and stretching his forward.

"Huh?" Many of the knights stared at him, he wore nothing but his underwear.

 "Who the hell are you--"

Before he could finish the sentence Gil was already at his table, "I'll be asking the questions here."

The man's head landed on the floor, as blood gushed out from his severed neck.

From pure shock, Nancy collapsed on the floor. The men wouldn't take such disgrace sitting down (Well, for the ones who weren't drunk anyway.)

Most of them got up, but little did they know that god had sent his angel of death, and that angel had granted Gil the right to kill all those he pleased. Sadly for them, Gil wouldn't easily forgive the transgressions of all those that bore the symbol of the Vatican.

About six minutes later, the tavarn doors opened. Gil's feet came into contact with the cold stone that made the pavement. He was covered in blood, blood that wasn't his, but still blood. He walked back in, and from one of the dead knights retrieved their cloth.

"You won't be needing this." He said, "After all, clothes are too flammable for where your going." It was a red shirt, he quickly wiped himself off with the parts that didn't have any blood.

"Better." He then walked out, this time looking at the sign that hung from a post on the side of the path.

'NJOROGE BAR, KUJA TENA' (Njoroge bar, come again.)

"I'm a bit far away." He said outloud.

The bar was located on top of a hill, one found a bit far away from the village. But it was a great spot for anyone wanting to star gaze, in fact tonight seemed like the perfect day to do so. The moon hung low in the sky, just above the sea.

It would appear as though the moon had just been dipped into the red sea, and now glew red as a result.

"The ocean's blood red, and this air is heavy." Honestly if you were to ask him what any of what he said actually meant you'd be surprised to know he had no clue. However, it did feel like the correct set of words for this scenario.

 GRRRR!

When he concentrated for a bit, he heard groaning coming from a long distance away.

 The village.

Smoke came from that direction. It was up in flames, and not in the good 'festive' way.

"What is going on over there?"

AT THE VILLAGE

"Kimbia, Kimbia! (Run! Run!)" The local butcher shouted as he escorted some of the children to the other side of the alleyway.

"Baba!" They cried back at him.

 "Baba will come, just go."

"No!" His eldest daughter cried, "Baba come."

"Honey, no, I need to go back for your grand mama."

GRRR!

 BANG!

Debris was flung everywhere as a giant creature revealed itself behind the array of building behind them.

 "Run, plea--"

He didn't finish as a metal pole stabbed him through his back.

 "Gya!"

He fell into a puddle of sewage water. Coughing up blood as he struggled to breath.

"Baba!" His children ran to him. His eldest daughter, and his two younger sons.

 "Baba wake up!"

"Please… run." He had no strength to say anymore. The creature crept closer and closer grabbing the children in one swipe.

 "Baba!" They cried.

The creature was bigger than most of the buildings surrounding it, its skin was dark, ashy and hard. Its face was that of a cow skull, but it had the teeth of a lion, large claws, long gray tongue, no eyes, and it walked on its hind legs.

It licked the children as it got ready to swallow the little ones whole.

 CLINK! CLANK!

Metal could be heard hitting against something hard.

GRRRRRAAA!

The creature suddenly let go of the children, Njeri rushed and threw and old mattress beneath them to cushion their fall.

"Let's hurry before this thing gets angry at me." She whispered as she ran to collect the children.

But the creature wouldn't let them go so easily, Njeri had used a machete to cut through the creatures leg, but it took her several swings just to make it bleed a little.

 It roared at the four.

"Twende! (Let's go!)" She shouted at the children,

 "Baba! Baba."

 "No, no baba."

 BABA! BABA!

The creature swiped its claw, Njeri managed to get the children down somehow.

She looked up and down and finally saw her escape opportunity.

"Hapo, get in their!" She gestured the children into a little wooden box, "Ingia hapo (Get in their.)"

She pushed them in, they resisted for a moment, but stayed put.

Njeri then got up. "C'mon at me, you… you…" She was trying to think of an insult but sadly nothing came to mind.

 GRRR!

It growled as it swiped at her, she managed to duck in time, she then made a run for it. The creature, true to its nature, followed close behind.
