Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Magic Really Is Fun… But Now What?

Magic really is fun.

I stood alone in the forest, the faint glow of recently cast spells still lingering in my mind. Fire, water, wind, earth—everything responded effortlessly, as if the world itself was waiting for my instructions.

"…But now what?"

I looked around.

Tall trees. Dense foliage. No paths. No signs of civilization.

"No map. No location info. No idea where I am."

I sighed.

"I'm in another world, and I didn't even get basic navigation."

My gaze drifted back to the blue status panel floating quietly in front of me.

"…This thing is just an information panel."

Name. Stats. Talents.

Nothing else.

"No quests. No guidance. No fancy system voice."

I rubbed my chin.

"I really wish that god had given me a system as well."

Then I paused.

"…Wait."

A thought crossed my mind.

"Well… what can I say?"

I chuckled softly.

"Maybe I should just build one myself."

It wouldn't be instant. It would take time. Trial and error.

But…

"…I think I can do it."

After all, if someone asked me why I asked for a programming talent in the first place—

"It was the first thing that came to mind. That's all."

And honestly?

"With this, I don't need anything else."

I spread my fingers and watched mana ripple faintly around them—endless, bottomless.

"If I can create magic… skills… systems… then this talent alone is more than enough."

Some people might say programming is useless in a world of magic.

I smiled.

"…That's where you're wrong."

Programming is magic.

If you've ever played games, then you already know what I mean.

Stats. Skills. Interfaces. Systems. Rules.

They're all just structured logic.

"I'm planning to implement my code into real life."

Yes.

I want to create my own world.

It might sound childish.

But don't tell me you've never thought about it—not even once.

I know you have.

We all have.

So I asked for it.

"I'll make whatever I want myself."

That's all.

I looked back at the forest.

"…First priority—where do I go?"

A map would help.

But to make one…

"I'd need to observe the world from above."

I tilted my head.

"…Drones?"

I laughed.

"Yeah… I'll think about that later."

For now, surviving comes first.

Meanwhile — The Realm of Gods

An old man leaned back in his chair.

"…Have you gone senile or what?"

The god sighed.

"Of course not."

"Then what happened?" another voice asked. "Do you even realize what kind of talent you gave that human?"

The old man smiled faintly.

"I do."

"Then why—"

"You'll see," he interrupted calmly."In the future."

He turned his gaze toward the lower world.

"That is precisely why I gave it to him."

Silence followed.

"…Just watch him quietly, will you?"
