Chapter 6 - Chapter Six: The First Crack

Luna stepped into the classroom, her heart beating fast.

The room slowly fell silent.

The teacher looked up and adjusted his glasses.

"New student," he announced. "Come forward."

Luna walked to the center of the class.

"This is Luna Valeria," the teacher said. "She will be studying with you from today."

Eyes followed her everywhere.

"Take your seat," the teacher continued, pointing to the middle row.

"Between Auren Vale and Suha."

Luna froze for a second… then walked calmly and sat down.

Auren glanced at Suha—his gaze sharp and unreadable.

Classes began.

During attendance, the teacher suddenly asked,

"Luna Valeria, state your identity."

Luna stood up confidently.

"I am the daughter of Eman Valeria."

A soft murmur spread through the class.

She sat down.

Soon, the bell rang.

Break time – 15 minutes.

Auren stood up and placed a hand on Luna's desk.

"She's officially a new member of the Red Flame Gang," he announced.

Some students whispered, impressed.

Suha smiled and brought his friends over, introducing them to Luna politely.

Moments later, Ella walked in and handed Luna a small packet of snacks.

"She's my stepsister," Ella said loudly, smiling.

The class reacted warmly.

For the first time in years, Luna laughed freely.

She felt… normal.

After the break, math, physics, and history classes passed quickly.

Then came lunch break.

Auren walked up to Luna.

"Sit with me."

She nodded.

"Okay."

Just then, Suha approached with a smile.

"Luna, want to have lunch together?"

She hesitated, then replied gently,

"I'm already going with Auren."

Auren's lips curved slightly.

Ella noticed—and immediately teased him.

"Oh? Someone's happy."

"It's not like that," Auren replied quickly, turning away.

They went to the canteen and ate together.

After school, the Red Flame Gang went to the park.

Auren, Felix, Calix, and others played basketball fiercely.

On a nearby bench, Mica, Grace, Ella, Zien, and Luna sat watching.

Luna's eyes never left Auren.

She didn't even blink.

Ella noticed and smirked.

"Wow… you're staring."

Luna quickly looked away, embarrassed.

Suddenly, a boy—one of Suha's acquaintances—walked past Luna.

As he stood up, he intentionally touched her waist and walked away.

Luna stiffened.

Auren saw everything.

In a fraction of a second, he appeared in front of that boy using vampire speed.

The air turned tense.

Powers ignited.

The boy fought back—and soon, Suha and his group joined in.

Luna and the others rushed forward, but Auren raised his hand.

"Stay back."

The enemies surrounded him and splashed a strange liquid on Auren's body.

His power weakened temporarily.

Still, he fought.

Seeing this, Luna's anger exploded.

Her eyes changed.

She transformed into a special, terrifying form—radiating raw energy.

Together, Luna and Auren fought back.

The ground cracked.

Winds roared.

They won.

The boy who touched Luna fell to his knees.

"I'm sorry," he said.

Luna calmed.

Both of them returned to normal.

Without a word, they went back to the dormitory.

That night, the academy buzzed with rumors.

Students whispered about Luna and Auren.

Some were afraid.

Others were curious.

But in the shadows—

Suha stood with his group, fists clenched.

He turned to the boy who had touched Luna and snapped,

"Are you out of your mind? Know your limits."

Then his eyes darkened.

"I will win over Luna, Auren, Ella, Calix, Felix, and Mica," he whispered.

"Our parents were abandoned by theirs. Stripped of research. Thrown into darkness."

He smiled coldly.

"This will be revenge."

"Two betrayals."

"One victory."
