We breached the facility at 0300 hours when guard rotations were changing and attention was divided between shift handoff and the boredom of overnight security.
Luna and I went through the eastern service entrance using access codes James had provided, moved through corridors she remembered and I was seeing for the first time, avoided camera coverage using blind spots marked on the updated schematics.
Made it to the third level without encountering guards and I started to think maybe this would actually work.
Started to believe we could extract forty people without anyone dying.
Started to hope.
That's when the alarms activated and everything went wrong simultaneously.
"Breach detected third level east corridor," a voice said over the facility intercom. "All security teams respond. Lockdown protocols active."
