In a daze, Cecilia Nathan heard the sound of a conversation outside.
"You look like him. You can get close to her, make her fall in love with you." Sharon Quincy's voice was mocking.
Cecilia Nathan was already awake. She had come to on a bed.
She didn't dare open her eyes, keeping them shut, but her ears were alert, taking in every word from beyond the door.
"Aren't you afraid her family will come after you for kidnapping her? This is abduction. It's illegal," the man's voice said, sounding weary.
Cecilia Nathan's eyes narrowed slightly, and her palms tightened into fists.
'This man's voice sounds familiar.'
Cecilia Nathan racked her brain but couldn't place it, so she just kept listening.
Sharon Quincy said sinisterly, "So what? You have no idea the way Damian Hawthorne looks at her. I'd say she's a bigger threat than Serena Hughes ever was."
