At the Metropolis health centre:
The team snuck their way into the latest victims room.
Constantine: This him ?
The man wore a traumatised expression, his eyes wide open with restraints on his arms and legs.

Batman pulled the token out his utility belt and observed it " how does this work ?" he asked looking it over before handing it to John." It's basically a magical shortcut, it let's me access different planes of existence without doing 20 hours of awkward incantations. In this case i'll poke around this poor sods memories to see how his madness began...and more importantly what caused it " John placed the token on the mans head opening somewhat of a magical portal revealing an odd world within its window.
The door to the room was then opened by a nurse who was shocked to see them" what are you doing in here ? I'm calling security" she was about to run away when Boston possessed her body taking over her mind.
Boston: I'll make sure the looky loos stay out of our hair
John: Z, give me a psychic shout if this body comes under attack. Wouldn't do to be trapped inside now
Zatanna: Wouldn't do to go in alone and since i'm right here...
Constantine: Too dangerous you're out of practice love
Zatanna: look you wanted me alone, i'm here, i'm not waiting in the wings let's do this
She gave her hand for him to hold, Constantine took a moment before groaning and taking it now with both of them entering the mind of the man in a golden flash they vanished.

Inside the mind:
Zatanna and Constantine floated in a black void filled with doors to the victims memories but Zatanna was lost as if in a trance.
Constantine: Zee you okay ?
His question broke her out the trance " i'm fine " she replied rubbing her aching head as Constantine flew to one memory of when the man was a kid.
Zatanna: I've never liked this sort of magic. I can feel darkness seeping inside me.How you stand it is beyond me
She said hugging herself
Constantine: It's all about control if you ever need a refresher
Zatanna: We've had this conversation I haven't changed my mind.
She flew past him to another memory " sure sit out the war between good and evil" he replied looking at another memory. Zatanna then flew to another memory as he continued " after all, you've got a good thing going being applauded by mindless twits".
Zatanna: Really? Right now ?!
She asked annoyed by subject " good a time as ever, I reckon". He smirked before witnessing another memory one where as a child the man was being hit by his farther.
Zatanna: The magic I perform brings people happiness,
Constantine: You sure it's not the two drink minimum, love ?
He asked cheekily " you're such a pessimist" she replied" wrong. I expect the worst so I prepare for the worst, and when the worst happens i'm ready. But my outlook doesn't change the outcome of the world" he looks into a new memory one where the man is drinking and is wife is telling him to stop.

Zatanna: there was joy too, his madness swept it away.
She replied sadly

A wooden spoon was magically stirring a pot as a hand poured some strange liquid into the liquid already inside the bowl.

Suddenly the poo in the toilets shot up becoming a large sentient monsters whose putrid smell spread out through the entire hospital.
Boston: Who dropped the bed pan?
A nurse walking down the hall to check out the mess stopped infront of the bathroom and tried running away from the sight she witnessed, before a tendril wrapped around her leg and dragged her inside the room. Suddenly a massive brown monster screeching like a bug rushed out the bathroom and began devouring everyone in sight as it crawled away at high speeds followed by Boston who attempted to stop it.
Back in the mans mind:
Zatanna and Constantine hovered above a kitchen while the man was doing the Sudoku.
Constantine: This is it the morning before his madness
Zee: What do you think will set him off ?
Constantine: My guess is the Sudoku. He's got two nines in the same row
Zatanna shook her head at his childishness when suddenly the room darkened " John" she said watching as a dark spectre like shadow entered the room reaching out its claw like hand wearing a golden ring towards the man
Meanwhile outside the mind:
Batman and Izuku could hear the screams of people outside so they approached the door and opened it to see the doctors and nurses running away screaming " Run!" over and over again.
The monster approached a security guard who was firing at it while Boston followed in a fat security guards body.
Boston: Come on fellah eat a peace of fruit huh
Exiting the body he flew into the security guard who was firing at the monster and used his body to unlock the door behind him entering another room where he tried opening the other door but it was too late the monster devoured the body causing Boston to fly out.
Boston: Damnit
The monster entered the room with Izuku and Batman who engaged in combat. Batman threw two batarangs at the monster while Izuku approached the monster head on.
Batman: Dekiru get back !!!!
Izuku: That's enough out of you!
Extending his arm Izuku opened his hand infront of the creature and used one of his magic abilities.
{Counter Vanish}
Turning the monster back into a pile of crap which luckily Izuku avoided stepping on by jumping back to the side of Batman who was left in shock.
Batman: What was that ?
Izuku: Oh it's one of my abilities counter vanish it basically allows me to cancel out any form of offensive magic or even quirks heading my way
Batman:...And you didn't think of telling me about this ability why ?
Izuku: uh...I kinda forgot. I'm really sorry please don't spar with me again I really did forge-
Batman stopped Izukus muttering by petting his head " good work kid " he said before walking back to the room where the man whose mind Zatanna and Constantine were in laid.
With Zatanna and Constantine:
Constantine: Here it is
The spirit thrusted its hand into the mans head as he screamed in pain meanwhile Zatanna and Constantine were gasping in shock.
Suddenly the spirit began creating a darkness that began covering every part of the mind-scape.
Zatanna: We've gotta get out of here!
The two were covered in pitch black darkness until Constantine created magic light in his palm" one more second" Constantine said as he dug into the memory straight to the golden ring on the spirits finger.
Zatanna: Now John there's no time !!!!
She said as he finished finding the image he was searching for when the mirror he viewed it in shattered and they were pulled out.
Outside the mind:
Zatanna and Constantine came out only to see Boston, Izuku and Batman with their arms crossed while outside the smell of shit came into the room.
Constantine: What happened here
Boston: Well there happened to be a shit monster
Constantine: hmm well anyway let's get the hell out of here
The group left except for Batman and Izuku
Izuku: You get the feeling something isn't right about this entire situation Batman
Batman: Yeah I do stay vigilant
Izuku: right

The group was on the way back to Richies observing the ring

The group then stopped to see the Shrouds at Richies door and one coming out the door.
Shroud 1: Constantine, you've arrived in time to witness my-
Before the Shroud could finish Constantine brought out a strange object creating a powerful light removing the shroud that disappeared screaming in pain as he ran in only to see a man with a suit next to Richie and another two Shrouds surrounding them.
Constantine: Richie!
He shouted before seeing the man ran away so he ran after him followed by Batman, Izuku and Boston where the three of them and Zatanna stopped at Richie with Batman checking his pulse.
Boston: Get back, you bastards
He shouted trying to hit the Shrouds who kept avoiding his attacks.
Zatanna: John help Richie !!
She shouted but he continued his chase while Batman checked Richies pulse through his neck.
Batman: No pulse
Boston: We know, we know! Come on!
Turning him on his back the Shroud attempted to remove his soul but Batman stabbed an adrenalin pen into Richies chest right over his heart causing him to wake up with a gasp.
Richie: aah *gasp* why ?! AH!
Batman removed the pen causing Richie to faint as Constantine showed up with the man in a suit wrapped in chains and a cloth tied over his mouth.
Constantine: I see you have a few tricks of your own
Batman: Not everything requires magic or quirks
Timeskip in the house of mystery:
Orchid placed her hands on Richies chest as he laid on the bed groaning in pain meanwhile Constantine stood in the corner until he cupped his hands over his mouth.

In his hands appeared the image of the ring from the memory. He walked to Orchid and showed it to her " make sure he sees that first thing after he wakes up "
Orchid: That is if he wakes up
Constantine narrowed his eyes before leaving the room to the living room where Jason Blood was.
Constantine: We need to talk you and I, but if you summon Etrigan I will fill your lungs with bile before the first verse is done . Savvy?
He asked with a smirk as Jason nodded so he removed his restraints.
Jason: The situation was not how it seemed. The apartment was like that when I arrived, Richard as well.
Boston: Come on ! You were all over him
Jason: I was attempting to help when you burst in. I knew i'd get blamed, So I ran.
Zatanna approached Constantine" do you believe him ? " she asked.
Constantine: Jason's not the murdery type. He's chock full of honor, loyalty and rubbish of that sort.
Izuku: Then tell us why you were there
Jason: *sigh* Richard is known as a collector of the arcane and supernatural.I wanted to see if he had something that could gain me access to this place.
Boston: Why would you want to break in here
Jason walked towards a sharp crimson and black gem stone on the shelf" for this, the single most powerful conduit of evil in the history of the world. He named it the dream stone" Jason turned to face everyone" but it's really the stuff of nightmares".
Jason began recalling the history he had with the stone.
Jason: i didn't think you'd give it up willingly. Although this piece is useless without the other half, it's far from powerless.

He reached in to grab the gem however his hand went through it
Constantine: Neat, isn't it. The house keeps my valuables out of phase, so they don't go wondering off.
Batman: But, still, the timing of the stone's appearence and it's power indicates that it's somehow involved with these crimes.
Izuku: Now that you mention it I did smell the gem stone when we were close to that victim from the hospital
Zatanna: Really? That's so cool what else can you do?!
She asked exited to know more however before Izuku could respond Constantine butted in somewhat aggressively.
Constantine: So what you can smell out things like a police mutt eh? The gem is stored here where only I can get to it .
Boston: I think me, them and everyone else who knows you might want it to be somewhere else
Orchid: Constantine
The group turned to the right to face Orchid who made herself known.
Orchid: Your friend is awake
In the bedroom:
Constantine ran to Richies side seeing him with his eyes narrowly open.
Constantine: Richie who was it ? Who did this to you ?
Richie slowly and shakily pointed at the ring " Faust" he muttered
Constantine: Felix Faust. You sure ?
Richie took a moment before nodding and going back to sleep.Constantine left the room followed by the others but Izukus enhanced hearing heard something strange with Richies heart beat when he said Faust.
Outside the room:
Constantine was searching several books when he found what he was looking for " there you are, you old bastard" he said putting his finger over the page with Felix Faust.
The page tore itself out the book and revealed itself to the others " I give you wizard and asshole extraordinaire, Felix Faust. Hell, I should've put it together. Conjuring a whirlwind, is just his style."
Batman: The league had a run-in with Faust, but his location isn't in our database.
He said checking the league file scanner.
Constantine:Yeah, wizards don't make a habit of signing up for credit cards or social media. His grandly named observatory of the cosmos is hidden from the likes of you and Superman, but not from me.
Grabbing a pin Constantine enchanted" arasphonse Felix Faust" the pin had a purple aura around it as it hovered into the picture of Faust causing it to disappear as Constantine made a magic globe however the pin just began spinning over it.
Boston: What's happening?
Batman: if this were a computer i'd say it's frozen
Constantine made a peace sign" cheers" he said as Zatanna added into the conversation.
Zatanna: Felix Faust would take precautions against locator spells.
Izuku: Is there another way ?
Rokuro: let's hope there is
Constantine: There is, but it involves asking for a favour from someone I don't have the best relationship with
Jason: Someone else dislikes you ? Shocking.
He mocked
Orchid: Your friend slips from the mortal plane
She said entering the room
Zatanna: John...
Constantine: Keep him alive and safe. Understand?
Orchid: You are not my master
Constantine: I don't give a flying fag who your master is I order you to keep him alive and safe do I make myself clear
Orchid simply nodded as Constantine along with Boston and Zatanna walked away but Izuku remained in the room along with Batman.
Orchid: Is this alright with you master ?
Izuku: yeah it is, however I need you to do something for me Orchid. When he wakes up contact me immediately and don't do anything he asks of you outside of bringing him food or water understood ?
Orchid nodded and bowed before leaving
Batman: Is something wrong Midoriya ?
Izuku nodded" when Richie said Felix Faust attacked him there was a change in his heart beat indicating he was lying, i'm not sure why but he gives me a bad feeling" Batman nodded registering the new information" good work " the two then left following the others.
Outside:
The group found themeselves walking into a swamp.
Jason: Alright i'll ask. Why are we in the middle of a godforsaken swamp ?
Constantine: It's a favourite hidey hole of one Alec Holland, whose corpse was taken to be the most recent avatar of the green. Bet you wont find that on your bloody cell phone
He said mockingly to Batman while behind them Zatanna was getting a piggy bag from Izuku not wanting to walk on the swamps watery floor.
Batman:Our data's more factual. Alec Holland was murdered by terrorists.His body was never recovered. End of story.
Constantine: Not quite
The group stopped infront of a large lake.
" go away !"
Said a deep voice but Constantine didn't care. Lighting a match he dropped it onto the floor as it became a circular surface of flames which he stepped on hovering above the water as he moved to the center of the lake right infront of a bush of flows.
Constantine: Swamp thing !I know you're seeing this get out here, or the posies get it !
Suddenly vines began growing out the water as it started forming a large bulky green humanoid figure with bright red eyes.
The creature moved towards John " John Constantine. You dare threaten the green ?". He asked angrily as Zatanna hopped of Izukus back and ran towards them "Thertwa" she chanted canceling out Johns spell making him fall into the water.
Boston, Batman and Izuku followed her and approached Swamp thing.
Boston: Dude, your social skills are horrendous
Zatanna: Please, we aren't here to harm any plants, but our need is urgent. Don't let your feelings for John stop you from doing what's right.
Swamp thing leaned down and sniffed her " you have, a garden ?" he questioned her" yes, I find it relaxing. and I water it every week" she answered with a warm smile.
Zatanna: We need to find a man, a wizard named Felix Faust
Swamp thing: A single human among your teeming masses. I only know John Constantine because he enrages me
John smiled and shrugged since that was normal for him.
Zatanna: Faust lives in an observatory which is invisible.It's a place where dark magic would affect the earth below it
Swamp thing took a moment before turning his head to look at Izuku and approach him. Batman stood in the way and narrowed his eyes trying to protect him.
Natsu: AAAH HE'S GONNA EAT US!!!
Meliodas just nodded while drinking and Rokuro sighed at Natsus child like actions.
Swamp thing: You
He spoke gently before going down on his knee .
Swamp Thing: Izuku Midoriya, you are a good friend to the green. You have gotten hurt protecting her for you I will gladly help as best I can
Constantine: Oh bloody hell, why is it always the kid
Boston: Jealous much ?
Swamp thing smiled and offered his hand, Batman didn't move until Izuku put his hand on his shoulder. After Batman moved Izuku took Swamp things hand and shook it returning the smile.
Swamp thing: Now let us go
Suddenly vines burst out the ground and went around the group covering them all and moving them to another location.
Timeskip:
When the vines disappeared Swamp thing stretched out his arm and pointed to a mountain top revealing their destination" the place you seek is there " he told them as they all looked towards the mountain.
Constantine and Zatanna walked towards the edge of the cliff they were on. Zatanna then casted a spell " Zisharati" the invisibility of the observatory was nullified revealing the large building.
Zatanna: That place is heavily guarded
Izuku turned to Swamp thing
Izuku: I know we've asked a lot of you but we could really use your help. If we don't get a handle on this all of humanity will be doomed
Swamp thing: Perhaps his actions are a kind of justice don't you remember what happened to you when you were protecting the green. No one hurts the green more than humanity
Flashback:
Bakugo: haha you worthless Deku, you can't do anything right !!
He mocked with his two lackeys, all three of them were kicking Izuku while he wrapped himself around a rose trying to protect it
End of flashback:
Izuku: Yes you're right, but there are also those who love and protect the green even to the risk of their own lives. Would it not be right to give back to them and help us save everyone
Swamp thing: mmm to repay the greens debt to you and them, I will help but just this once
Izuku nodded " thank you " Swamp thing nodded. He walked to the edge and extended his arm suddenly a massive vine burst out the side of the mountain and smashed down on building making the barrier visibly shatter in the process.
Constantine: hahah that's one way to do it mate
Jason: Good now it's time we strike...Gone gone, the form of man. Arise the demon Etrigan
A pillar of fire rose around Jason and dispersed revealing a demon in his place.
Jason blew fire into his hands forming into a sword .
Smirking devilishly he jumped away towards the Observatory
Batman: Let's go
Boston: Right
The group left towards the observatory leaving Izuku behind with swam thing
Izuku: thank you for everything
Swamp thing: It was an honor to help you. Goodbye for now Izuku Midoriya, may the green protect you
Disappearing into the ground Izuku sighed and looked at the observatory.
Izuku: So what do you think guys, you up for some action
